I have stayed there 3 times already and my experience has not changed much. This is a very decent place but only that. Rooms are very nice but apart from that there are some things that could be improved that being mainly the variety of food served during breakfest and above all WIFI!!! One more thing is that it is quite far away from Barcelona so if You plan to use it as a base to visit the city it is not the best choice. Collapse

This is a lovely hotel with lifts to each floor. Helpful and friendly staff made stay great. Breakfast is continental but comprehensive. A bar opposite when open provides a taste of the local otherwise it is a ten minute drive to civilization. Be prepared the local area has a problem with parking if you stay at the hotel with their secure parking it is much more peaceful. Staff knowledgeable and helpful they have organized taxis to the ports for a family of six as well as organized parking at their location for a week. Rooms clean tidy and luxurious so a lovely stay had. Collapse

If your here for the local training center, ideal position there is a bus each morning (free) direct to site (8.45) or you can walk (20 mins max). The local train station Sant Joan is max 10min walk with a great rail system and a trip to the center of Barcelona takes 20 mins. if you are here for a while buy the T10 rail card 2 zones (10 journeys) for 19.60euros this card can also be shared. The nearest main area is Sant Cugat itself (2 stops on train, 1 zone) or taxi about 10euros, go dine out there the area is stunning the choice of food is excellent I would recommend eating in Matilda's where the food and beer is good, the hotel will make a reservation and order a taxi for you, just ask. The hotel itself is comfy the staff are friendly but maybe another member on the front desk would be useful because you can wait a while to get a drink whilst the staff are working on check in's / out's, also additional seating outside would be a benefit. The staff at the hotel for me where great always ready to give some local info and generally after a long day that first cold beer served with a warm smile always cheered me up. hope this helps Collapse

My husband and I stayed in July for 2 nights. This hotel is just OK. The rooms are a bit dated and need updating. They are fairly clean though which is a plus but again, need to modernize. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They initially gave our room away and quickly resolved the situation. They also offered concessions for our troubles. Breakfast was included and while there was something we could eat to get by, it wasn't very good. For the size of hotel, they should make an effort to provide at least one or two hot dishes. Another downfall of this hotel is the location. It is about a 30 minute train ride into the city which isn't that bad, at least in our opinion. However, it is an exceptional distance from the airport and if we returned to Barcelona, we would not stay here again for this and the other reasons listed above. There is also nothing to eat in the area as it is a business district so you have to go into the city centre or eat at the hotel. Collapse

Arrived late (approx 1030pm). Had a guaranteed room with late check in and the hotel gave away our room. We had to put up a bit of a fuss to get the situation fixed but eventually the staff made it work and gave us 2 free drink vouchers also7. The staff are very friendly and were accommodating when necessary. No fridge or ironing board/iron in the room. There is a kettle though. The linens were clean but the hotel is clearly dated and the carpet in our room was stained. Small tv in the room playing some surprisingly newer movies including The Revenant, How To Be Single, Creed etc. Wouldn't let any children control the remote as there is adult materials/channels mixed in. No grocery stores, restaurants or really anything worthwhile nearby. Will take you about 35mins to the city centre. Directions: Takes 2 hrs to and from BCN airport via public transport. If in the city for 1 or 2 days buy the T10 transit pass (2 zones) for $19.95 which can be used 10 times. RENFE train to Sants Barcelona station (3 stops). Transfer to another RENFE train and take to catalunya station (1 stop). Exit station and ask for help to locate FGC metro entrance (5min walk or so outside catalunya). Your T10 card will work for all these public transit services. Once inside the FGC Catalunya station take the S2 train to Sant Joan (35min train ride). Once you exit Sant Joan look around until you see the hospital (blue sign with a white cross). Walk towards the hospital and take the street directly to the left of it, walking down hill. You'll come to a small red bridge where you walk across. Across the bridge youll see a red ramp which you walk up and you can see the hotel directly in front of you. Would not recommend arriving to this hotel after dark and taking this route. Was not unsafe for us (in fact no one was around at all) but it is in a very obscure location near the woods. Breakfast: Free daily. Mostly bread items as always in Europe. Some cereal, fruits, yogurts, meat and cheese. Collapse
