Highly recommend this hotel. 30 min from Belfast. Breakfast was phenomenal, rooms are a bit small for a family of 4. But overall can't beat value of it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free car park, free WiFi. Would stay again for sure

The staff at this brilliant hotel could not have done any more to make our stay any better if they tried. The buffet breakfast was real treat, with nothing left out. Our room on the fouth floor was very quiet and comfortable and serviced each by house-keeping to a very acceptable standard. The hotel is on commercial outlet estate with all necessary shops and pub within easy walking distance and a brisk 20 minute walk will take you to Antrim Casle Gardens. Ten minutes more will take you to the town centre. Collapse

location wise this hotel is perfect. 5 minutes from Antrim town, 20 minutes from Ballymena, 20 minutes from Belfast. Junction one shopping outlet is across the car park, as is asda and numerous restaurants. The hotel itself is basic, the bed is comfy and there was a sofa in the room which was seemingly made of rock. The room had freeview TV, a hairdryer and the thinnest toilet paper ever invented. The bar was open late which was great and the staff were friendly. there is a lift and a vending machine. Collapse
One if the best. Better than most of the rest.

I've been working in Northern Ireland for mote than three years and I've pretty much always chosen to stay here. Sure from time to time I've tried other places when they might have been closer to a work venue but usually only once. Then next time I'm back again regretting I went somewhere else. Coming here really does feel like it's a home from home. I frequently stay at hotels in the Holiday Inn chain. For me Holiday Inn Express provides the best value for money and the great majority are pretty much faultless most of the time and will always get 5 stars from me. A few are better still though and this is one of them. Infact in my experience it is THE best one. I'd go further still. This is one of the most enjoyable places to stay full stop. Whatever I've paid in other establishments. So how come it punches so far above its weight? Aren't all Holiday Inn Expresses the same? Well this one gets everything it should get spot on, spot on, every time. That's great but a few others I've been to do as well. What makes this hotel really stand out is its staff. Yes, they do the same sort if things that other staff do in some of the better places I've stayed in, the differentiator here is HOW they do it. When I visit I quite literally feel as if I've just gone to visit relatives who I haven't seen for a while. I'm treated just as I'm sure they would treat their real guests. They do it happily. They're as friendly as you could possibly want and they interact with each other just as if they were a genuine family. When you see a team of people behaving as exceptionally as these it can be hard to figure out just how it works as well as it does. Perhaps here three factors come into play. They all seem to be both exceptionally competent and at the same time extremely nice people in their own right; They all seem to get on well together meaning that they are naturally good at working together; and lastly They have a quite exceptional manager who I'm sure inspires them by her own example. She also seems to be extremely good at her job at a technical level while at the same time being prepared to step in and do just about anything else that needs helping. From a customers perspective I always feel really special and I'm sure that she has the knack of making everyone else feel the same. Often this is achieved by her doing little things to help you out. That could be letting you stay in your room an hour or two more than she should to giving you her TV controls because your not getting on well with the ones in your room. No matter how busy she seems to be she will always find time to chat with you. She will spend ages juggling with rooms to get you in when the hotel seems to be full. I could go on for quite some time. I think I've painted the picture. SO out of five these guys get 10 as far as I'm concerned. As I'm aware no staff have left in all the time I've been staying there which too says that they are clearly doing all the right things right. Collapse
