Stayed here from 8th December for 5 nights. The area although not bad looking may not be as attractive as other areas for example near JBR but the LOCATION itself is fantastic, there is a taxi rank outside so getting around is easy, and the ease of moving around the city from here is fantastic, it feels like you're in the middle of Dubai and nowhere is more than a 15 minute drive. Walking distance it is 10 minutes from the Mall of the Emirates and there also many restaurants and fast food places within walking distance. I am an IHG Gold Customer and was upgraded to a club room on arrival, which was nice, 2nd time in an IHG in Dubai and 2nd time upgraded, service is paramount here. The room was perfect, very clean, modern and everything that was required. The gym was excellent, most hotel gyms are lacklustre but this was perfect and had everything required. The pool was on the roof, nice and clean. In the changing rooms they also had Sauna and Steam Room that could be used, these were separate for Male and Female though which is a shame if you are visiting with your partner. The roof also had a beautiful roof top bar, particularly attractive at night which has an amazing view of the Burj Al Arab. Overall a great experience. Would definitely stay here again. Hotel is also active on social media which is very refreshing! Collapse

This is mine and family 4th stay at the hotel over the past 5 yrs. We cant compliment the hotel team enough for the wonderful hospitality during our 7 days stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by familiar faces who instantly recognizes me and family- thus it had that personalized touch which is always nice. For us, Holiday Inn’s strengths lies with the genuine and warm service of its staffs. We would like to give a special shout out to the Concierge team-specifically Mr Khaled and Mr Partha for their wonderful service. Never failing to greet and enquire if any assistance is needed and being THERE literally. Also a shout out to the team serving the daily breakfast buffet, specifically to Anja, Rosalyn and Deskhant -who always wear a smile ans ensure we start off our day in the best way possible. The above staffs are assets and the hotel is very fortunate to have them and hope they will be recognized for their efforts. We were upgraded to an Executive king room and room was perfect in most ways. No complaints! Location of the hotel was very ideal -5 mins walk to metro and 7-8 mins walk to Emirates Mall. As mentioned, this our 4th stay at the hotel and it has never fail to impress us and we hope to be back soon! Best wishes to Holiday Inn Al Barsha and all its staffs!! Regards Mahadir Khan Collapse

We booked this holiday in march our accommodation was a deluxe double room, as it was our anniversary I had previously emailed to ask for a nice room with a possible view. On our arrival at 2 in the morning we were greeted by Dom who informed us he had a twin room or a smoking king room, so where was our deluxe double? As we had been on the go since 7am the previous day I just wanted a bed also as it was our anniversary I really didn't want to be in separate beds so we opted for the smoking king as ex smokers this was a forced descision so for a week our room and clothes stank of smoke as it came through the vents obviously from the other smoking rooms. We asked DOM for a quiet room only to find ourselves backed onto the lift shafts which ran 24/7 to add to matters we looked down into the Atrium there was god awful music also played 24/7 it was so audible we actually thought the room either above or next door had a to on, so wrong room and no sleep for a week. 1st day at the pool no beds due to the obviously hung over group of rugby players lying asleep on all the loungers 2nd day we could of had a bed but there is 1 umbrella for the entire pool area, never in out travels have we ever encountered a pool with no means of shade especially in a place as warm as Dubai, so we had to pay to use the pool Ina hotel we had previously stayed at just so we could lie in the shade beside the pool which is what we booked this holiday to do in the 1st place. Good points were the location right beside the metro and a 5 min walk to mall of he eemirates.breakfast was really good with lots of choice staff also very friendly. When reading the reviews we thought the hotel looked excellent but we are so disappointed and have taken this matter up with out travel agents who are booking rooms which are not being honoured, would not go back even if it was for a free stay!!!!
