In brief : take a better option if you can . We did not have a pleasant experience.below are the details. 1- The location of the hotel is good ,proximity to the airport and has shopping mall attached. 2- Check in experience was ok ,however careful : Foreigner should pay either in Euros or Dollars ,they do not accept other currency and they do not exchange and you are not allowed to pay in EGP. That was Odd . Anyway the shopping mall near by has an exchange store at -3 level and you can solve it. 3- Day shift reception : majority are not aware what hospitality is and they give u the feeling that you are asking more than you should ,no genuine smile ,no extra mile. We had an issue about paid out and the duty manager was next us (he puts glasses) , maybe he saw us arguing with the receptionist ,maybe not , but we are 100% sure that he was advised as we heard the receptionist informing him and the guy did not bother to come and speak with us . The only.helpful guy that day was the concierge gentleman who booked us for the pyramids. 4-Having a shower was quite different ,a lake was taking shape in the shower as drainage seemed blocked ,though i advised and was assured by a management member that it will be solved ,yet job was not done and same lake was there . Lighting in the room is super complex . you just to go from corner to corner and everywhere to turn off the lights before sleeping 5- Cleanliness is average 6- Breakfast experience has nothing special in it except the obvious conflict and agitation of one guy addressing a chef and who seemed to be the restaurant manager. Hostess was smiley and kind. The second day breakfast was super bad and they said they had a group 7-Night time :we sat at stars corner restaurant , our beverage order was very late and they forgot the diet coke. A world record of fries taking more than one hour and when i complained ,no apology was offered.No duty manager approached us. another weird thing They had no tonic water in the restaurant but they had it in the room mini fridge 8- And then i go.to.the reception to ask for my bill , and ask the receptionist to issue me an advance folio since i wish to check out quickly in the morning . the receptionist was interrogating me in a rude manner " why do you need it " ? as if i am asking something weird or wrong . Overall experience is not good . and not worth the value for money at all Collapse

This hotel is fantastic ! It's the third time I'm staying here on the last three months... You can see that I like it... :-) The hotel is very good. Rooms are big and confortable, location is good, just next to the Big CityStars mall. Everything is very clean and well organized. The breakfast is EXCELLENT, served at the "Windows", which is one of the hotel restaurants. Room service is very "complete" (big variety of choices) and affordable, served 24h, Kids menus available. The hotel staff is globally very professional/nice and friendly. They really make me feel comfortable and happy when staying here.Of course some of them are "oustanding" and I would like to mention them here: Linda (Customer relations), Hany Baiomy (Star corner), Mohamed (Windows restaurant), Morcus Sarkis (Pool garden). Because I'm member with the chain. I was given an "upgraded room"; when I walked in, it looked like any regular hotel room so I would imagine when the regular room may have looked like! As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by a very loud noise! After a long flight and checking in after 10 pm, I looked outside the window and there was a party going on just outside my balcony with young adults partying! I phoned the front desk who informed me there is a party going on and that it should be over in "an hour"; I am beat so I switched rooms with family and took their room facing the mall, and has to put up with the traffic noise and constant police cars honks over the party! Needless to say, I barely slept till the honking started to subside around 2 pm ( turn out the party didn't wrap up till after 1:30 am either so I don't know which the worst of the 2 evils), furthermore, I chose smoking room due to my allergies to smoke and although the non-smoking room was posted, you can smell smoke as soon as you walk in!!! Another reason not to be able to sleep and I was told if I wanted to switch to a different room, I'd have to wait and forfeit my upgrade! Will NEVER go back! I was like a zombie the next day. I was amazed with this hotel, stayed here for 3nights and 4days because for our workshop. From the moment we arrived at the Airport they were waiting for us already for our pick up, free wifi inside the car. When we stepped out in the car the concierge Sherif and bellboy Ramadan was waiting for us and guide us to the reception. Mr. Remon Nabil from the Front Desk welcome us and did our check in very fast and easy. The room was still fully furnished and very clean. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows, housekeeping great job. Restaurant service are great as well, thanks to all of you and to the Chefs for the delicious food. The best people that I really appreciate during my stay who give their 5* service were, Sherif and Akram from concierge, very helpful and very friendly. Mr. Remon who helped me with my reservation, really you are excellent and to the rest of the staff 2 Fady at the Reception who helped with my smooth checkout, Shimaa, Mai, Ahmed in the restaurant. To all of you thank you for the great service and to those I didnt mention the name that I encounter, keep up the great work. I will highly recommend this hotel and wanted to come back again. It was a 2 nights in Cairo business trip. Since it is not my first time in Holiday Inn, I was not very surprised to have a great stay. It all started from the reception, when it wasn't very busy but still a nice person from the Guest Relations volunteered to help me with the Check-In and in no time I was in my room. The room was nice and clean, well equipped and everything in its place. Maybe the wifi was not great but still it wasn't too bad. Breakfast was very good as usual and the service was always great. In general I really look forward for my next visit. This hotel is highly recommended especially if you need to stay near new cairo area. Collapse
