We booked a double, the bed was made into a double but we had two single duvet covers?! When i called reception to request a double duvet cover i was advised that they only provide single duvets and there were no double's anywhere in the hotel. Ridiculous for a four star hotel! The description advises overlooking a garden, this is misleading. It overlooks a shared courtyard. It shares the area with a hostel we were unable to open our window due to the noise coming up from the courtyard area despite being on the sixth floor. On the day of checking out, despite checkout being 12pm. Our door was chapped three times asking us if we were leaving yet to have the room cleaned. On checkout another person had charged drinks to our room, reception were not helpful at having these charges removed, eventually when they realised it had been an error they refused to provide anything to show our credit card would not be billed as it would take too long for the manager to do! At checkin, i ticked the boxes advising that i didn't want any marketing or contact sent to my personal email - yet by the time i reached the room i had several emails from Hilton. The hotel is in a good location, the shower is pretty powerful. Collapse

We didnt get the twin room we booked but since the bed was large we left it at that. Our room was a De Luxe room, which compared to our daughters standard, was only 1 meter longer to accomodate another chair and a little round table, for which the extra money was not justified. We had a view on the courtyard with a view of about 1.000 other windows. For a 4 star hotel they should at least have some toilettries other than a bit of soap i n a tube. There is a remarquable lack of shelves and storage facilities and everything had to be piled up on the table. The second bedside table was incredible small and with the telephone sitting on it, the book had to be left on the floor. Our friends also had a De Luxe room and their phone wasnt working, the next day the electricity went suddenly. There is no fridge in the De Luxe rooms. After having our room cleaned, the dirty cups were left andd the sugar not replenished. This hotel is clearly for business men who travel with one suit and a briefcase. To us it clearly does not merit its 4 stars and we would certainly not be back, There plenty of other hotels in the area. Collapse

Just came back from a 4 day/5 night visit at this hotel. Easy to get to from Schoenefeld airport. I usually go for small boutique hotels as I don't particularly feel comfortable with the impersonal service of big hotels. I was proved right with the efficient but very cold welcome and the fact that room was only available at 3pm. Not great news after setting off at 4.30 in the morning. We left our luggage and went round the area. When we got back to hotel we were given a room on the 8th floor. Nice, quiet room as we had asked. Stylish, clean and not too small. First thing I noticed was that there were no toiletries except for soap in a despenser. It was embarrassing to go to reception and 'beg' for a shower cap or body lotion. Maybe this should be pointed out in booking so people can get their own stuff although if travelling with just hand luggage carrying liquids is always a problem. I think a 4 star hotel should not try to economise on these little things, like bathroom slippers. Surely we'd have paid for them in the rate? The shower was inside the bath. It was a high bath and I strongly recommend anyone visiting this hotel to ask for a walk in shower. I slipped twice getting out of the bath as while you put one leg over the edge of the bath the other foot slips on the soapy water. I ended up with three large, painful and unattractive bruises. When i asked for a non slip mat at reception they offered to change room or give me more towels. After we had settled in I didn't particularly want to waste a morning moving out and reorganising stuff in another room. Since they only supply soap dispensers with a label round them, the cleaner had not noticed that the one in the shower was empty so going out of the bath to switch with the one next to the wash hand basin was when I slipped again. Very painful. Wifi was very good and free and Stefan was particularly patient with us when we wanted to use the printer (a German keyboard can be frustrating) so thank you Stefan. We paid extra for breakfast. A very good breakfast I must say and when I asked for fresh orange juice Oliver kindly offered to prepare it himself. At €17 one would expect to have this choice. So thank you Oliver. Strange that there was no fridge in the room, no bar, but we survived that. The main problem was the high bath with no rail to hang on to when climbing out. Would i return to this hotel? Possibly as it's in a very good location but I'd make sure to get a walk in shower. Collapse
