My family and I booked to stay here on a little break the first thing you notice is how clean the hotel is. This can’t be faulted. However, sorry to say that the cleanliness and decor of the hotel was the only good point. On arrival after an extreamly long day travelling we were given our room keys, got up to the room (4th Floor) and neither key worked. I ran down to tell reception the reception then said sorry we gave you the wrong room number so with new keys I ran back up and collected my wife and 3 year old daughter and the cases and headed to the 5th floor. Not only did the keys not work and the room door was opened by a half naked disgruntled man (we apologised. Back down to reception I went, they apologised and realised that we were given the right room on the 4th floor in the first place. Hey ho but annoying! Went down to dinner and we were shown to our table the waiter seemed to take an instant dislike to me for some unknown reason and initially was all smiles to my wife and daughter! Could not of been more surly from then on towards us a most uncomfortable dinner and could not wait to get out. The next night we went into dinner with our hungry and cranky little daughter we got her some food and sat her in the high chair at which point as she was about to eat the same waiter from the night before came storming up and said “ you no eat, you pay first, you only bed and breakfast” being my polite self I apologised and said we will pay at reception straight after dinner (this was no issue the night previous and we presumed that as our room number was asked and we had a designated table every day that it would be added to our bill at the end of the week) the waiter raised his voice and said “no, you go pay first then you eat.” By now it was causing quite a few curious looks from the other guests! His attitude upset and made my 3 year old daughter cry my wife now fed up marched up to him and got his name off his badge (Maxi) and she then went to reception to complain after the way he spoke to us all. My wife came back in tears and shaking as Maxi had upset her so much the receptionist asked what had happened and he said no problem have your dinner and come up after. None of us were in the mood to eat after that to be honest and we’re getting glared at by said waiter. I went to reception after dinner and said I wanted to settle our bill as we were not going to eat at the hotel again the receptionist tried to make out it could of been a language barrier. I asked to see the manager but was told he was not in but a message would be left. The next morning the hotel manger came and saw us to apologise however it was made out that Maxi came from a different hotel and did not know the routine then the restaurant manger offered us dinner on the house that evening however, it was the way it came across “ have dinner here tonight free of charge but tonight only” he made it sound like we were trying to get a free ride. That night the waiter was moved to a different section however we felt we were ostrosised because we had complained. The next night we went down with our ticket for dinner and it was requested straight away by the hotel manager who virtually pounced on us! We had not even sat down! We had the distinct feeling that because we were not German and the guests there were predominantly Germans that we were less important, this was even felt in the Bar. Germans coming in after us were getting served first. (before anyone starts saying anything, we are not being disrespectful about German people, they were all lovely and polite and were very taken with our little girl. The German guests went out of their way to say hello or make conversation which was very much appreciated) We have been going to Mallorca for years now and this was the first time we ever felt unwelcome in a hotel anywhere on Majorca. We would never stay in this hotel again and to be honest the food was very over priced for what was on offer, it was very standard. A holiday is always something to look forward to and enjoy but sadly we would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They could learn a lot from the Protor hotels on the island that are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble, always friendly and they go the extra mile to make you welcome! Collapse

The hotel is located in a more quiet part of the Cala Millor resort, surrounded by mostly other 4* star hotels also owned by Hipotels. We were upgraded to a sea view room free of charge which was nice of them. Beach is a minute walk from the hotel. Staff were helpful and room was clean. Breakfast was okay (it is really hard find good breakfast in Mallorca and this was my 6th visit). Dinner is 24 euros per person so we chose to eat out instead. We previously stayed at Hipotels Flamenco nearby so knew what to expect. Had we had the choice, we would have stayed at Flamenco again as it is closer to restaurants and shops but it was fully booked so we went for this hotel. As many have pointed out, there are no tea making facilities in the room. Toiletries are only provided on the first day. Overall it's a good hotel and I would definitely recommend staying in this area but would perhaps try another 4* hotel nearby - just a personal preference. Collapse

We have just returned from this wonderful hotel. We loved this hotel from the moment we arrived, although there was an horrific downpour and the sky was dull and cloudy. From the time we booked in to our rooms by the efficient Reception Staff, Eva and Adrian, and the help we received with our luggage, we knew that our stay would be 'something else'. We had rooms with the facilities we requested when booking and the hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were all very smartly dressed and courteous. The surrounding area of the hotel was exceptionally well kept and the gardener (only one) was constantly seen carrying out his duties to a high standard. The other staff, cleaners, particularly Maria Jose and others who tided our room were very professional, courteous and a credit to the hotel. All the bar staff, Ramon, Antonio, Leo, Alberto and Packo (if any are missed by name I apologize) were extremely efficient, clean and hard working and most of all very polite to customers. There is no doubt that Ramon had a great team and service was superb. The other Reception staff, Catrina, Margara, Toni and Carlos (nightshift) were all very approachable, helpful, pleasant and nothing for them was too much trouble. The Restaurant Staff under Gregory were all very efficient and the food was served to an extremely high standard and the Chef and his staff made sure that it was all very well presented and extremely edible. Finally and in conclusion the Sub Director Maria and Director Theo were visible throughout our stay and made sure that the hotel was operation to a very high standard. If I have missed anyone please excuse me but you all deserve the highest of praise and we will certainly be back at this 'Wonderful Hotel' in the future. If anyone has anything detrimental to say about the hotel or it's staff, then they must be very hard to satisfy. !!!!!!!! I have visited this hotel several times now and have never been disappointed. From the moment you arrive the reception staff are courteous welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable. There is a good selection of food available at breakfast and dinner and offers something for all tastes. As a solo traveller I felt particularly well looked after by all the staff and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thai hotel for all solos. I used the indoor pool several times which was lovely and as it was early in the season very quiet. Perfect for a relaxing break. Coffee on the terrace even on very windy days was beautifully served by friendly and efficient staff. The only improvement I would suggest is that tea and coffee making facilities are available in all the rooms not just the upgraded ones. Having said that I will definitely stay here again. Collapse

Room near top of building with angular view of sea. We slept with windows open as was too hot with the centrally controlled heating. This was a bonus as the sound of the breaking surf gently sent us off to happy sleeps in very comfortable beds. Lovely and clean. Food had plenty of variety and as much as you wanted though all the walking around the serving area difficult if you have limited mobility. Attentive staff. Beach just across the way and lovely area to explore in a car at this time of year as nearly everything closed (we like!) and plenty of space and not having to avoid people on pavements. Great if you're a jogger - lovely front. Outdoor pool was closed but small indoor would do at a pinch. Gym acceptable if small. Entertainment was not to our taste and slightly juvenile. Good, separate games room for anyone inclined to chess, cluedo etc. Word of warning, we parked outside near the front door (my mobility) and our rental car was keyed and back wiper broken off! We then noticed the taxi's use this area and presume we must have disgruntled a driver. Didn't make us feel very welcome and couldn't see anywhere else nearby to park, even though I have disabled badge. We ended up parking as near as we could with me taking breaks several times on the way back to hotel - not ideal. Collapse
