Although living only 80kms from Strasbourg, and early morning personal appointment in the city gave us the opportunity for an overnight stay at this hotel. The usual high standard from Hilton was present from the initial check in though to check out. The room was excellent, very quiet and extremely clean and confortable. A nice touch is the on/off switch for the minibar, sometimes the refrigerator noise can just keep me awake so great being able to switch it off without having to disassemble half of the room furniture! An evening drink in the bar was a pleasant experience, again smiles all around from the bar staff. Definitely a hotel to recommend, and we are looking forward to when we "need" to stay overnight again in Strabsourg! Collapse

The hotel is nice but nothing impressive good breakfast and close to city but not very walkable. Great service and staff. Rooms are clean and nice. Decent for family just wish you could walk places or a pool or something.

The Hilton of old is long gone. Its merely a relic living off its brand name. The hotel itself is average and no better than any other chain you will find nearby. Our room was ok, clean-ish but signs of ageing and a lack of maintenance ( see photos) chipped toilet , dirty/mouldy bath seals and lack of cleaning detail such as the bottom door ( see photos) Not something youd expect from the Hilton of old. Now the biggest gripe which you will read in many reviews is the breakfast. You will also note that the hotel responds to reviews and says it will pass on these comments so , if it is passing on these comments, why does then the higher management choose to ignore it and continue to be the Fawlty towers at breakfast time. The breakfast room is insufficient in its seating capacity and staffing. We were lucky to be seated but a few minutes later and we would have been waiting in a very long queue (see photos) this continuous queue lasted well past 30 mins, people waiting in line to be seated. We also had a problem with our sons chair, he is 6 years old and is of average if not tall height for a 6 year old yet he had to sit on his knees in the chair to be able to reach the table. We asked for a cushion but was only told a Baby chair was available. The trouble was , there are a few varieties of chairs, some are ok but others are low and we ended up with a low chair, a cushion would have solved a very simple problem but unfortunately they couldnt offer one so our son has an uncomfortable breakfast. The queues in the breakfast room were also long, people waiting at least 10 plus just for the coffee machine. I tell you no lie, I waited at the fresh juice stand for 7 minutes just waiting for the orange juice to be filled up. People were asking staff constantly for stuff to be topped up. Now I always have an English breakfast where possible but one look at the Hiltons fried breakfast would turn a dog away. It looked revolting, greasy and overcooked. I saw the bacon that was swimming in grease taken to the kitchen, I thought they were going to bring a fresh supply but no, simply mixed some new with the old, it was disgusting to say the least. I ended up basically eating a few croissants and sweet bread due to the lack of decent food and lack of food being served and long waiting time for the food to be brought out . The other negative that again is constantly being mentioned and constantly being passed on to management is the parking fee €20. Dont bother, there is plenty of free parking on the side streets and opposite car park.We had no problem finding a free parking space 30 seconds from the hotel entrance. I will say that the staff were friendly and the hotel in general is ok but if you are going to pay more than €100 for a room per night you can find a lot better. Message to management. Please dont bother replying to this, its just a pointless gesture. Ive seen your replies to all others who have left reviews and you continue to do nothing but give false hope in that you will pass on the details , why bother you clearly havent done anything about the numerous complaints. Let this review be a clear message to all, please take time to read past reviews regarding breakfast time, past reviews regarding parking fees, past reviews regarding maintenance then judge for yourself if you think enough is being done. Strasbourg is a beautiful city and I hope you will have a wonderful time even if you stay at the Hilton. Collapse

We when to Strasbourg for our 17th anniversary trip, and i have to say i was a little disappointed with the hotel. We were traveling with our daughter so wanted two beds, but the only two bed room they had was with two twins, which it isn’t clear about in the booking. So when we go there one of us was without a bed, and we were told that the floor we were on, which was the executive level didn’t allow an extra bed. This room should not have been available fort three people then. So we had to change rooms, they still gave us two twin beds and brought my daughter a rollaway. There was nothing special about this hotel at all, even the lounge was less than average. The breakfast was very below average. The staff were OK though, not great, but good enough. Collapse
