We have just returned from our 10 (yes it really is our 10th!) trip to this marvellous hotel and it only gets better each time. My wife and me travelled with our 3 young children (ages 3,8 and 10) booked via Virgin Holidays. We flew with emirates and arrived early on a Friday morning. Our transfer to the hotel was efficient and took about 70 minutes. CHeck in was straight forward and its worth signing up to the free Hilton Honors programme before arriving to take advantages of the additional perks such as complimentary wifi in the room. Ha inn good arrived at the hotel at 11am, our room was not yet ready (it was a busy Easter weekend and normal check in time is 3pm) but we did not have to wait too long before we were giving our keys. Check in staff were very friendly and polite. We were offered the chance to upgrade from Half Board to All inclusive at check in but its quite expensive and you are better off doing it through virgin holidays when you book. We had booked a family suite which compromised of 2 double beds and a sofa bed. The room was extremely big and was very clean. It had a lounge area with a large flat screen TV and another TV in the bedroom. I would strongly recommend you take necessary cables to connect your phone/tablet to the tv's as channel selection is not great with very few English speaking channels. Bathroom was also big and clean and contained a whirlpool bath and walk in shower. There is also a mini fridge in the room which is useful. The resort is huge but even when full there is plenty of room for everyone. The pools are well kept and clean and there are many different pools. There are a number of children pools which was great for us and lifeguards are always on duty. There is also a water slide and kids playground comprising of swings and slides...excellent fun! The beach is spotless and private for the resort. Walking from one end of the beach to the other is a good 20 min walk. The resort has one of the best hotel gym's that I have come across. Is it open 24 hours and comprises of treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, rowing machines., a cable machine, and a weights area with benches and dumbells...used it everyday and it was great. The restaurants are good. We used the MAARID restaurant a lot as it is a large buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has plenty of choice. There is a different theme every night and kids won;t go hungry, especially with the kids corner! The hotel staff are all very welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Jehtan in the MAARID restaurant who was so friendly and helpful. Everyone makes you feel at home. Away fro m the resort, you can book the hotel shuttle to visit central Dubai which is a day trip away. Locally, there are a number of malls that you can visit for essentials. Ask concierge for advice regarding this. This is an excellent family hotel with plenty to do if you have kids. It is friendly and clean and the service is excellent. I would encourage anyone who has any doubts to go ahead and visit it. You won't be disappointed..We will certainly be going back for an 11th time at some stage!!! Collapse

We purposely chose this hotel to relax, close enough to Dubai to see it but far enough to escape it, and it didn't disappoint. The range of offerings are great, with a good selection of restaurants and facilities within the resort. However in my opinion, going all inclusive premium is a must to avoid disappointment on drink and food selection. We did this and our holiday was so very easy. The rooms are little dated, but are beautifully kept. The whole point of this hotel is to relax with your family, and everything is set up to do this. But what makes this place so very special, is not the facilities, but the staff! From the very beginning the front office manager Sabri went out of his way to help get us a room (before ours was ready) and food after our daughter was ill on the journey. As soon as we arrived at our villa Cletus our house keeper, made our childrens holiday, with incredible towel animals and a smiling face every day, nothing was too much trouble. Romesh and Robert the happiest lifeguards you could ask for. They helped us to get sun beds when it seemed impossible at busy times and were always there watching out for everyone's safety so brilliantly. Nikhal who works in the restaurants was just simply wonderful, arranging our booking at the Italian restaurant and going over and above to sort my sons birthday celebration and a cake. I cannot thank him enough! Aman was always there at breakfast and lunch with the biggest smile and was so great with our kids that we looked forward to seeing her each time. Each and every member of staff that drives the golf buggies in such blistering heat throughout the day also are full smiles and do everything to keep the children happy on the ride so they deserve recognition. Lastly kids paradise staff kept our children asking to go back each day, which for my 2 is unheard of, so a big thank you to them also. In all honesty it's the best hotel team I have come across, and they are all a real credit to the Hilton brand, and made our vacation one to remember. Cannot wait to return to this resort and see the friends made. Collapse

We stayed for a week and loved this hotel - relaxed vibe, amazing service and perfect facilities for young families. We have 5 and a 4 year old and there was plenty for them to do with several pools and slides and water fountain in kids pool. The kids club was brilliant offering entertainment to get kids out of the heat of the day and kids always wanting to go back for more All inclusive package is excellent value, the buffet offers great selection of world foods so something for everyone. Faruk our waiter provided outstanding service 10 out of 10 and all the staff were so friendly towards the kids. The Brazilian and Asian restaurant have excellent food and worth a trip on the golf buggy. Bibek the host was very gracious and gave an excellent service. Apple Janice and Guna were very professional as were rolvin and satish. The R10 bar on the beach is fantastic location to enjoy a cheeky beer or cocktail with lovely beach and cooling breeze go take edge of the heat. Younas gives great service and mixes a mean mojito We will be coming back! Collapse

This was our third stay at Hilton RAK Resort & Spa over Easter 2017. Beach Villas are in the middle of refurbishment and I have to say that it is probably good timing as the bathrooms are looking particularly tired. Have to say, there was no disruption at all around the works and the workmen are extremely quiet! Our only disappointment of the stay was that the additional breakfast space at the far end of the resort, that was available in previous years, had been stopped. For me, this was one of the benefits of paying extra to say in one of the beach villas and breakfast was a lot less pleasurable in the main restaurant. As usual the cleanliness of the resort and the friendliness of the staff made the holiday - a special mention must go to the guys at the Dhow Bar (Dhiraj, Eby, Christy, Subhas and J Srikanth) who are always happy to help, always have a smile and are a pleasure. Saying this, all the staff at the resort are so friendly from buggy drivers (Wahab especially), the waiters in all the restaurants and bars and the lifeguards (Rashed). We will definitely book again in 2018, as long as the prices don't go up too drastically following the refurbishment! Collapse
