We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Paris. Advantages are Close to the St. Lazare subway, right next door and a full buffet breakfast every morning. There is always a cab available and lobby staff are eager to help. Room was fine but sometimes a little cold. I didn't find a way to adjust the A/C. Also the room was a bit small for a desk and chair and King sized bed. Maybe that could be rearranged somehow. Generally speaking close to all attractions as promised via subway. However do not get on a subway that is jammed with people. Wait for one that has some room. Too many pick pockets in Paris. The bathroom was outstanding. The shower was ne of the best and welcomed a couple times a day because Paris had some hot and humid days while we were there. Collapse

The hotel combines a reasonable price with a very good location. Being near the railroad station there is a Metro station right across the street with FOUR lines available, which makes travelling around the city a piece of cake. The staff were friendly and the concierge was very helpful. The only negative was the size of our room. I booked the room using Hilton Honor Pts which, in my experience, often gives you the worst room in the house. The room had only 2 drawers and a bathroom that was about 4X8 with no tub. With a better room I would have rated the property a 5. Collapse

We stayed here for 3 days on our trip to Paris. Location is excellent as it's right in the centre of everything, so travelling in Paris was not a problem. Hotel customer service was great. We had arranged to stay in the larger rooms, however they had given us quite small ones. After talking with them at reception, they upgraded us with no problem. Rooms themselves were great. They were new, clean and quite modern/stylish. TV was great, hooked up my amazon fire stick to the back and worked perfectly. Wifi was also incredible, was able to stream movies with no problem at all on the standard complementary wifi. Rooms were also cleaned very well. The lobby was really beautiful and quite spacious. Great place to sit in the morning & evenings after a long day. Breakfast in the morning was good as well. They could potentially have a bit of a larger selection. Apart from that, everything was lovely and can't complain... Collapse

We learned that this was an old railroad hotel which is reflected in rather small rooms, but as part of upgrading they appear to have removed intervening units to create lovely modern and spacious baths. Our room also had a small walk in closet on the other side. The lobby and lobby bar are beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is generally very good and some---but not all---of the staff at breakfast are wonderful about offering both coffee and eggs/omelet to order. Finally, the check in experience was exceptional. For a variety of reasons, it was not clear that of the three rooms we booked, one had to have twin beds for our two grandchildren. The night manager---I think his name was Eric--was most helpful in arranging quite a large room for the two teenage grandchildren very nearby the other rooms. There was also some confusion about whether breakfast was included and he took care of that as well. We really felt welcomed and it set a good tone for the rest of the trip. Collapse

We stayed at the Hilton Paris Opera on points July 30-Aug 3, 2017. We arrived very early Sunday morning around 7 am and knew in advance we would likely pay an early check-in fee. After our overnight flight from the states, we were very happy to pay the 60 Euros to allow us to get into a room at 8am. Being a Diamond member and never having paid an early check in fee, the front desk associate, Tangi, carefully explained the fee and reasons why this Hilton was different. He was extremely kind and professional and escorted us to the breakfast room so that we could enjoy a great Hilton breakfast. He promised to return shortly with our room keys, which he did. We asked for a room with a view of the Eiffel, expecting to be disappointed. However, Tangi came through and gave us a great king room (411) that provided for a view of the top of the Tower. Tangi greatly exceeded our expectations and had our stay off to a great start. Our bags were delivered to our room by Antoine, a very friendly and helpful bell-hop, who always went out of his way to greet us every day. Other staff members went out of their way to show us to the closet ATM machines (BNP Paribas-Bank of America affiliate) and make us feel like family in the breakfast room. Room 411 is actually on the 5th floor and has a nice view overlooking Mollard Restaurant and the coolest looking McDonalds I have ever seen. As mentioned earlier, it does have a view of the top part of the Eiffel Tower. This king room is small with only a shower (no bath), but it is Paris and space is a premium. There is a very nice and big flat screen TV, and the double entry doors make for a very quiet and peaceful nights rest. Being a Diamond member allows access to the Executive Lounge, so we never used the bar. However, the bar and dining area in the main hall are absolutely beautiful and can compete with any 5 star lounge. I inquired about the Petite Bar, but it was closed or undergoing renovations while we were there. The Executive lounge is nice, albeit small, and we usually arrived early at the start of the evening reception to insure a seat. The only recommendation here is to offer a bubbly in the lounge, such as a Prosecco or Sparkling wine (it is Paris!). We took our breakfast in the main dining area, as the options were more plentiful and the service very good. There is no charge for breakfast as a Diamond member. The hotel is located directly next to the Gare de Lyon, which offers subway connections to all the main attractions. We found the 10 Carnet ticket to be the best option for us when using the subway/funicular for Sacre Coeur. There are many options for dinner within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. We enjoyed the Bar Italia Brasserie (amazing Italian) and Clos de Bourgogne (great escargots) during our visit. There is also a very impressive market near Printemps to pick up something to go, if you care to eat in your room. Bottom line is that this is a great hotel with fabulous staff and convenient location in the heart of Paris – One of my top 5 Hiltons in the world! Collapse
