Hotel location was good, but the room was very small. There was hardly any space to sit down. One had to lie down on the bed to rest. Room looks much bigger on the web site. Moreover, we had to wait till 6.30 PM to get the room. See more

I will say my stay at this property was so bad it actually motivated me to sign up for tripadvisor. I am a loyal Hilton Diamond Member and was ecstatic to learn Hilton had a property in the center of the city. I have been to Paris many times and stayed at independent hotels with great experiences and I decided to book the Hilton Opera even though it came with a heavy price tag for a 6 night stay. I will sum it up with one line. Remember that time you paid over 300 euros/night for a room and there was no water for 8 hours? You heard that correct. The water was shutoff for some reason. I received a note under my door after returning from a tradeshow unfortunately I got back late and it was already off by the time I returned. I had to go out at 10pm and find some bottled water to brush my teeth. My colleague was leaving on a 20 hours flight home at 7am, and the water was not scheduled to be back on until 6am. So much for a shower prior to departure. The experience was almost like a comedy routine. The elevators? Broken, all of them except for the one that went up one floor. The Internet? Broken for three days. The Air Conditioning? Broken. The fitness equipment in the fitness center? Broken. The Lights in my Room? Broken, the bathroom light would randomly turn on like it was haunted. Shower Handle? Broken. By the last day, it was incredibly frustrating. I wrote a note to management. They wrote me back and acknowledged it was a tough week and thanked me for my comments. I thought maybe they would do something. You know the old “Let us know and we will make it right” card in the room? Solely decoration I guess. My other disappointment was the service. It wasn’t so much rude as non-existent. My colleague was convinced that the hotel had only been open a few months and the staff were still learning their positions. It almost appeared everyone was new to the industry. There was no one staffing the executive lounge to for assistance. One night I watched guests open beer bottles with a spoon because staff setup the service, took off, and didn’t remember a bottle opener. One night, they forgot the plates! I ordered eggs in the breakfast room, waited 40 minutes, inquired about the order and the waiter apparently forgot to put it in. I simply rose and exited because I was finished with the whole hotel. The bellmen at the door spend most of their time talking to one another around the concierge desk. Housekeeping did a lovely job of tidying up the room, but they would forget towels, soap, shampoo, etc. No one would greet you upon your return, nor assist you with your departure. When I checked out in the early morning, three people gathered around the desk and just watched me. I had to navigate my way through the revolve door only to find the front door locked/wedged together, I then I had to try to figure out how to un-wedge the door while the revolving door hit me until I could get the main doors open. All while three employees with nothing to do simply watched. They didn’t so much as say goodbye. The bellman had zero interest in assisting. A few other warnings. I advise against staying here in summer. Even once the AC was restored, the hotel was incredibly hot. There is no AC in the lounge or the breakfast area. Hope for a table by an open window or you will be miserable. The lounge for the evening reception is not worth the heat because there is no relief from the windows at that time of day. The Grand Salon comes with a Grand Price, I believe it was 25 euro for a G&T. If you are staying on business, beware the internet because 50% of the time it did not work which made it impossible to stay in touch with the office. Maybe it was just my experience but there are no real perks for Diamond Members beyond the two free water bottles that they make abundantly clear are PER STAY. If you do decide to stay, Godspeed. I would suggest calling the hotel prior to inquire about the state of the property. Find out what is working and how long it has been working then make your decision. I thought they might do something to help with these issues during my stay or at least at checkout. But no. I believe this hotel is geared towards large groups which they cater to and the idea of losing one guest does not weigh heavily. Collapse

Great hotel for a family. Had the king family interconnecting rooms. Both were very nice and clean. The location was very convenient. Close to the train station and walking distance to several restaurants and food options. Would stay here again
