If your like me you want to know what's good and bad about the places you are looking at. So here it goes. I'll start with the cons. Cons: The pool area is probably the worst I have seen in Orlando. This is not a good hotel to go to if you are a family looking at having a "day at the pool". There are plenty of other hotels in Orlando that offer lazy rivers and kids play areas. This is just two slightly bigger than backyard size pools with little to no decor. This is getting picky but bring our own hair dryer. The one in our room could not be changed from cold air to hot air and it blows about as hard as you can from your mouth. It took my wife a half hour and her hair was still wet. The A/C in our room said "68" however it wasn't even close. No matter how we changed the temperature we couldn't get the room to cool down. They overbook the "allergen friendly" rooms. Even though I booked it weeks in advance when I arrived the desk clerk told me there was "a glitch in the system" that caused it to way overbook the allergy friendly rooms. We ended up with a standard room. You wouldn't think that was a big deal but my wife sneezed constantly the next morning so I'm guessing there is something in the non-allergy friendly rooms. The free Gold/Diamond continental breakfast is really bad. Just go to one of the restaurants. The pros: You can't beat the location if you want to go to Disney Springs. The hotel has a direct path across the street which includes a private bridge over the road. If you are there for a conference and want to go across the street for drinks without driving.....perfect place for you. This place is a conference center hotel. It is great for that. It is not set up for vacationing families but is perfectly set up for conferences. If you are looking for a place that can handle a large conference I would recommend this location. The staff is very friendly and I love the text messaging service that is standard at all Hilton hotels now. Summary: I would say this is a 3 star hotel that you should pay no more than 100.00 a night for.The only reason it is that high is the location is awesome. Collapse

It was going to be a short vacation, no expectations set. We a minor accident in the room shortly after check in that required security. They were wonderful & made our daughter feel at ease. Every single member of staff that we had interaction with was friendly and helpful - from housekeeping, bellmen, and valet genuinely greeting us to desk, restaurant, and store staff making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The character breakfast buffet was amazing- not only for the expansive food choices but for the not often seen characters they provided. This hotel is "grandfathered in" to be able to provide genuine Disney characters at the breakfast. It is first come, first served. I recommend getting there fairly early (before 9am). The pools were greatly enjoyed by our daughter. I realized too late there were hammocks available for my reading & napping enjoyment. We have stayed at just about every hotel on the boulevard and this one truly stands out above the rest. Collapse

We decided to celebrate our daughters straight A report cards with an overnight getaway to Orlando to visit Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom. Our room was not ready by the 4:00 pm check-in and we waited for twenty minutes, before returning to the registration desk side counter. The clerk told us to go to the end of the long line that we had already spent twenty minutes in while attempting to check in at 4:00 pm. I advised him that we were going to miss our reservation for dinner at Disney. He continued to say that he could not explain why the room was not ready and that you just have to wait these things out. I asked for a manager to speak with us. He disappeared through a door and came back to say that he had located a room. He said that he would send our bags up. We then waited twenty minutes in our room for our bags. I called baggage and they advised that they were swamped and would get them up as soon as possible. Before our bags arrived, housekeeping knocked and wanted to come in to change light bulbs. We needed our bags to change clothes for dinner at Disney World. We needed privacy in our room. Service is terrible at this hotel. The room is very dated and the "suite" is anything but a suite. Terrible old doors, outdated decor in the room, outdated elevators and outdated common areas describe this hotel. Priceline has let me down three times during the past six months with their rating system. We spent $247 on the room, including resort fees, and should have just driven home 45 minutes away. Collapse

This Hilton is an o.k. business and family hotel. The rooms are simple and clean and it is located right across the street from Disney Springs (used to be Downtown Disney) in Orlando. I did try the new phone entry instead of getting key but you still need to go to front desk to get wifi password, etc. Bars and restaurants are good for after business meet-ups. Collapse
