Very relaxing n undisturbed.we had a wonderful trip and check in was great..I needed another room a few days later but able to get the same family and friends rate,so rest of family left after one day stay .they surprise me and came for thanksgiving.… See more

We LOVE the Hilton properties. Diamond and Gold members here. It's our home away from home. Myrtle Beach was a very last minute trip and a welcome needed change. Below is a list of pros and cons in no special order: Pros: * Hilton Property * Huge Hilton Property with several pools and hot tubs outside * Close to the beach * Several bars and restaurants on site * Ocean view room is a must - please go for it * AM Breakfast if you get daily coupons for a continental breakfast you can upgrade for $7 and get hot items too. It's worth it * Front desk, wait staff, bartenders, hostess, security guards, bellhops, all AMAZING at their service - just kind people and over a holiday week. Wow. * The property is nestled in a very classy neighborhood so it's a pretty drive in with plenty of parking - surface lot and garage * Inexpensive * Safe in the room * Mini frig in the room Cons: * Notice we didn't list housekeeping as a pro. This is tough. Housekeeping is traditionally my personal fav staff. They run everything behind the scenes; it's a thankless job. Unfortunately, our housekeepers were the miss on this trip. - Didn't vacuum one day - it was obvious with what was on the floor and needed attention - We asked for extra wash cloths and all towels. They left RATTY and I mean RATTY towels the kind that look like what you keep in the garage - no wash cloths - Called the front desk - can we get wash cloths and they finally arrived - In the interim they didn't dump the garbage cans out and left them filled - had to call this out as an ask - We ordered room service one night. Took the used dishes and placed them outside of our room which the front door was outside of the property on the 9th floor. Open the door; you're outside. Those dirty dishes from Thursday night sat till mid Saturday afternoon. Outside. * It took roughly 7 minutes for the hot water to come on in the bathroom. I timed it. This is a VERY OLD property so you have to manage your expectations. :) * No Micro in the room; we have a frig but no micro - kind of unfortunate Just too hit/miss on the housekeeping side of things....overall we would stay again as the overall experience was amazing but there are too many other properties to hit. For being a hilton I expected more but was sadly disappointed when are room was dirty with stains on our sheets. Staff was very nice and quickly changed us to a clean room. Breakfast was amazing! Amenities in the hotel are great!

We were offered a choice of a few places by the Hilton Grand Vacations, (went there to take their tour), and chose this one because it was waterfront. Not the worst place but definitely things to keep in mind: PROS: - Nearby garage, comfortable to self-park - Super friendly and helpful staff - Concierge that was knowledgeable and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable (big thanks to NADIA!!) - Free shuttle with wonderful, friendly drivers who take you to the boardwalk and nearby restaurants and pick you up afterwards - two pools, though both really (really!) small - Café Amalfi (for breakfast) is large, clean, fast, with great views of the ocean. - Best thing for us was a private cabana booked through the concierge. Since pools were small and crammed with guests and many kids, we were glad to secure a little corner where we could rest undisturbed. Fresh fruit and water on ice, ceiling fan, even a TV (why? ok, still, a nice touch). Cabana rental included accommodations for 4, including lounge chairs, table w/ chairs, towels. Also, a server came up to take our lunch orders and brought the lunch straight to the cabana. It was wonderful. CONS: none are terrible, but not something you normally expect of a Hilton - This property is an older one and hasn't been renovated lately. - During our stay they were very busy and so no bellboys were to be found at check-in or check-out. We carried our own luggage. - Carpeting in the elevators is dingy. - We checked into the North Side, rm 1028, on tenth floor. This room sits directly above the restaurants and their exhausts and even as high as the tenth floor it was impossible to go out on the balcony, as the smell of refried oil in the air was nauseating. We asked to be moved and the front desk moved us willingly. Our new room was on the South Side, no bad smells from the outside. However: mold in the bathroom, hairball in the closet and a crack in the sink. - We stayed at a busy time, for three days. Day two we left 8:30 in the morning and came back after three p.m. Room was not cleaned. When finally the cleaning staff showed up and we didn't see much point in cleaning up at this hour, the lady looked clearly relieved. I've a feeling they may have been short on staff, still, there are certain expectations that this would not happen at a Hilton property. - Hotel is crammed in-between other hotel properties, but that's not unique, several hotels are built one atop the other, since beachfronts are at a premium. And finally, something to note: not possible to walk from this property to the main beach with the boardwalk and all the attractions, as there are highways in the way; need to drive there or take a shuttle.
