HH Diamond member returning to this hotel after many many years... nothing has changed from the decor to the service - all are behind the times. Even the toiletries used in the bathrooms are those used in the Doubletree Sukhumvit (Crabtree) and not Peter Ross like the Hilton Sukhumvit. It is completely my fault for booking here. I should have known better. When I asked about HH Diamond upgrades to a room that didn’t smell so mouldy ( and which is a benefit on the welcome letter, they passed to me at check-in ), I was told it was almost fully booked & they needed to reserve a few rooms for last minute bookings (so much for subject to availability). More like if we really think we can’t sell it, why not? The hotel is beginning a refurbishment programme as every space seems tired & worn. Might they take the time to better train some of the staff too. I spoke to the Assistant Call Centre Manager. Her response was telling. Let me look at your “profile” and then I’ll see who is the most appropriate person to pass you too... wow! Below are some photos. No recommendations or condemnations here. It simply is what it is! Really nice hotel, amazing breakfast and lunch buffet. Make the most of the free boat shuttle because it’s way better than a taxi. Rooms could do with a spruce up of the rooms and more multi functional plugs too

Stayed here for two nights at the end of a two week tour of Myanmar so looking forward to some relaxation time The hotel upon arrival was very busy with large travel groups and a wedding party. Our experience at check in was amongst the very worst we’ve experienced. No greeting, no welcome, no smile in fact no eye contact throughout the process and it did feel like a factory process! The only interaction was a request for a credit card ! Woeful start to our stay. Main evening dining restaurant was closed throughout our stay due to large wedding parties Swimming pool closed all day Sunday due to a private function Hotel obviously struggling to be either a hotel for its guests or a corporate conference/ wedding venue for those people paying to book out facilities - other hotels deliver both aspects without the need of closing off public venues for private functions I rated it one star as the rooms are comfortable with views of the river. However, the hotel in our experience is soulless lacking any character with an obvious customer service Training need particularly upon arrival and check in. Very Disappointing stay for a Hilton Collapse

We are family of three and stayed few days in a River view suite. Room had a separate bedroom, large living room with sofa, desk for working (unnecessary for us on holiday) and plenty of room for extra bed, two toilets. All nice and clean. And there is access to lounge in the 31st floor which is really good for our teenager’s extra snacks and parents’ drinks in sunset with views to the Bangkok skyline. In our opinion the location is good as easy to transport via river. We have stayed also in the other side of the river but hotel fees a bit higher in Sheraton and Shangri-la. Pool areas in those hotels better but no a problem for us as were going to a beach holiday afterwards. Positive in the Hilton pool area are the semi-private jacuzzis and very friendly service. Breaksfast was good, I preferred eating in lounge as it was more quiet and pieceful there. Service good although missed the freshly squeezed orange juice that was served year before. There is a gym but I preferred morning run in the nearby park about 500m left from hotel entrance. In the park there is a track of 400m in shadow, also gym equipment, Nice to exercise with the locals! By the river there is a cheap and good restaurant “Be my guest”. We have eaten there at least 10 times and there has been good food and service every time. Everything possible sold in the marketplace next to the hotel. Collapse
