Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our trip in Asia as a little treat. Booked the king riverview panoramic suite and it is easily the best hotel room I've stayed in in recent memory. The living areas were large and comfortable, there was plenty of free water provided, as well as a coffee machine with free coffee capsules. The bed was comfortable. And the views were great. As were were in a suite we had access to the executive lounge (on the roof) and in here you can have your breakfast, light refreshments, afternoon tea, and pre evening drinks which are all complimentary. The skybar in the hotel is very nice, although could possibly be lit a bit more as it was quite dark but this seems to be a theme going by the previous Hilton skybar that we were in in Thailand. The drinks are a little pricey but that's the price you pay for sitting relaxing and looking out over Bangkok in the evening sipping a nice cocktail or whisky! The hotel also has it's own pier with a complementary boat service taking you to the main pier where you can connect with other services, or just use it as a convenient way to get to the other side of the river as the traffic can be a nightmare! All the staff that we encountered in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and outside the hotel they radioed for taxies whenever you wanted one. This was quite handy as it meant you didn't have to haggle for price or point out the meter as the meter was always used when being picked up at the hotel. Definitely would stay here again if back in Bangkok, and would probably make more use of the facilities in the hotel this time. Collapse

I got a room here because my company had their sales meeting for all the international distributors. That is the reason why I spent 6 nights in this hotel. The room was a good value but the taxes VAT kill you. The food for breakfast and lunch our outstanding but again the prices kill you. The breakfast was over $20/day if you take it. If money is not an issue it is a good location and it is easy to get around the city by boat with the hotel having courtesy shuttles. The rooms in my opinion are coming due for some updates. I am not sure how old the hotel is. One thing I found missing was a mirror in the room. The only mirror in my room was in the bathroom. I get used to a hotel room having a mirror in the room someplace. Collapse

The Millenium commands a dominating location on the river. It's on the opposite side to the main shopping district and the hotel has their own boat that transfers you across the river every 20 minutes or so. The building is magnificent and the rooms generous. If you arrive by boat for the other side of the river( without letting them know) it's a bit uneventful ( we were left guessing which way to go to reception. Once that was taken care of, everything was superb. Can't fault the amenities or (most) of the service. The wheels fell off a little bit in the club lounge; the offerings were a bit sparse and the drinks were a bit limited in a couple of areas ( don't get me wrong - there was plenty on offer) I think inexperienced staff, filling your glass with whatever they had in their hand was probably not their fault; the unenforced dress code may have been Collapse

We enjoyed a lovely stay at this hotel over X-mas. The Executive Lounge was worth the add-on for evening drinks and canapés as well as a good multicultural breakfast buffet. The pool area was very nice with some more private areas, poolside lounging, and even food and drink service. The Spa was also very nice with great Thai massages on offer. The location is across the river from all the sites, but the hotel has a boat to the MRT station, or you can grab the public ferry across the river for pennies and grab a tuk-tuk or cab from there. There is also a small market next to the hotel if you want a little local flavor or shopping. Our only negative was that my wife was bitten by mosquitos many times one evening while we were enjoying a drink and the view on the rooftop bar. I'd suggest using mosquito repellent liberally or dressing in long pants and shirts to enjoy the rooftop. Collapse

If you want a hotel that is perfectly located, you can’t get any better than the Hilton Millennium. Here you will find some of the most amazing views of the Bangkok skyline. The rooms are nice and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend upgrading to the executive level; enjoy breakfast as well as drinks throughout the day. Complimentary boat transfer will take you across the Chao Phraya river where you can catch the sky train or sightseeing boats down the river. The staff was awesome and friendly. I definitely recommend them Collapse
