The location is superb. The hotel rooms are large and spacious and the service from the house keeping team is excellent. Our floor was covered by Naeem and he was always helpful and went that extra mile to make us feel comfortable. The towel animals and arts he left everyday was great. The fact you can walk across a bridge to use the private pools and beach made the stay even better. The staff were always helpful. As for location, The Walk in Dubai is a beautiful place and always hot. Collapse

We stayed in the Hilton The Walk Hotel for 5 nights. It's a great location next to Jumeirah Beach and Marina. Our room was a great size on the 11th floor. The bed was huge, very comfortable and the pillows were perfect for my liking. Shower always hot with reasonable pressure. Breakfast came with plenty of options to suit all tastes and times in the morning. We used the pool and facilities at the Hilton across the road. The towels provided for the swimming pool were perfect, they were thick and the full length of the sun loungers. Plenty of areas to choose from to sit and chill. The pool was clean and had a swim up bar. Our room was cleaned to a high standard every day an we enjoyed coming back to see what towel animal shapes had been created. On our last evening we came back to our room to find a bouquet of flowers (no note) on our bed. We were unsure as to why we had received them, especially as we couldn't enjoy them for the duration of our room stay and it wasn't a special occasion. There was also no vase to put them in so it seems a pointless gift from the hotel?! When we had returned to our room on the final evening our housekeeper knocked at our door twice within the space of an hour to confirm we would be giving him a 10/10 for the room on checkout. I found this particularly annoying the 1st time, but by the 2nd visit I was not impressed to have been bothered with regards to the score we would provide! Check out was easy, you will be charged AED15 per night at this point for the tax required. A taxi we flagged outside the front of the hotel cost us AED90, taking 30 minutes to Dubai International Airport. I would definitely stay here again, even with the lack of lifts and time spent waiting for them! Collapse

My daughter and I stayed at the Hilton on the walk in Dubai in September for 5 nights. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment with views over the marina. The apartment itself was huge with 3 bathrooms, sitting room/ dining room, kitchen, hall and two bedrooms. We actually shared the master bedroom as the bed was massive and it saved us keep shouting from one room to the other. It was kept spotlessly clean with towels changed daily. We had booked on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was plentiful with so much choice to cater for every need. There were both hot and cold food options with some hot dishes cooked to order. We couldn't fault it at all and made the most of eating a big breakfast to set us up for the day and had an evening meal out elsewhere. We also had a few drinks and enjoyed the views from the rooftop bar. The hotel staff were all polite and helpful in every area. The hotel is situated close to the sea and beach out the front and the Dubai Marina out the back. In front of the hotel is a road called the walk that has many restaurants and other hotels. This is bustling with people in the evenings either out for a meal, shopping or just taking a stroll. The other side of the road is the sister hotel to the Hilton that is actually on the beach. We were able to use the pool facilities and access the beach via a bridge that linked the two hotels. The beach Hilton had a couple of beach bars and a pool with swim up bar. The pool was very popular with families. Our hotel also had a pool that we found much quieter and less crowded. The beach is clean white sand with many sun beds and umbrellas to choose from and manned by life guards. You can have great views of the Palm island and the sky diving plane that takes off regularly out to sea. They are also building a large big wheel (London eye size) near the beach, once completed I'm sure will give you amazing views of the surrounding area. The Marina is a 10 minute walk away over a road bridge behind the hotel. There you can find a great shopping centre on 3 levels with plenty of restaurants too. Or you can sit back and enjoy the views of many a luxury yacht or two or take a boat trip around the marina and out to the Palm island. The whole area looks great lit up at night. We booked our holiday though Virgin holidays. The rep came to give us a welcome meeting on our 1st day where we were able to book a desert safari. We can definitely recommend this as a must do experience. It includes 4x4 dune bashing in the desert followed by a camel ride, belly dancing, henna tattoo and a yummy BBQ. Plus pick up and drop off back to your hotel, around £60 for a 6 hour trip awesome! We also pre booked the Burj khalifa £30 and the big bus tours £55 from home before our trip. I think we did and saw as much as we possibly could in 5 days, we've got some amazing photos and memories of Dubai. I would definitely recommend the hotel and the country. Collapse
