I made it back to the Hilton in Glasgow. I was immediately greeted at the desk as a Diamond member. It was nice to finally be able to get an upgraded room and the room was also very nice. The young lady who helped me; "Amazing" Grace was absolutely Amazing and an outstanding ambassador and representative of the Hilton Hotel chain!!! She made me feel welcomed, and she provided me with the additional benefits information that I receive as a Diamond member. Her job knowledge is outstanding and she really knows the hospitality business! I was really amazed at her "can do" attitude and her willingness to do the job customer-after-customer with an amazing smile!:-) This is a very clean hotel and the pride shown by the folks who work here is evident in their work! The lobby is very spacious and clean. There is also an open bar area that is comfortable and inviting. The rooms are large and have all the amenities that you will need. The upgraded rooms seem to have upgraded furniture and it provides a nice quiet atmosphere. In the hallways on the way to the room, there housekeeping staff kept up Amazing Grace's tradition of greetings and they genuinely wanted to know how I was enjoying my trip! I ordered room service and the food arrived very quickly and very neatly arranged on the plate. I was really impressed with the young lady who delivered the tray. She also was genuinely interested in my having a nice time in Glasgow and she advised that if we needed anything to just call. Upon checkout, I stopped by the executive lounge and met Lorraine. She is super nice and is a perfect conversationalist! She knows Glasgow well, so if you have any questions, be sure to ask. Overall, you will be challenged to find a finer hotel than the Hilton in Glasgow! The staff is absolutely wonderful and they make it an easy decision to come back to this hotel the next time I'm in town! Kudos to the management staff. Your folks are happy and doing well most likely because you are treating them right!!! Keep up the outstanding work!!! Collapse

I've used the Hilton group many times & have been a gold& silver member on there rewards programme the staff at the hotel were very good & breakfast very good the hotels facilities were ok I got too use pool & gym the pool area was busy they have a club lounge area which again is ok I'd booked a junior suite & had requested & was ready to pay £20 for a early check in as my train arrived around 11.00am was told room not ready till approx 16.00 which I wasn't pleased about was offered a executive room instead at a cheaper rate which was available I took this because I had a appointment around 17.00 so didn't have lot of time I straight away didn't like the room they offered me & said I wouldn't stay in there so I went to the fitness centre & pool area waiting to be called & told when my original suite available I checked with reception around 15.00 & was told room was ready once in suite which had a nice terrace again I was a little disappointed with the room it wasn't there top level but still not cheap the main disappointment was the bathroom first thing I always check out a bath with a shower over it and a shower curtain not good but I was only staying one night so no big deal not sure if I'd return although the location to city makes it very handy Collapse
Nice hotel but tricky to reach by pedestrians from the train station.

One night stay. Room was great, clean and comfy beds. Excellent service from the concierge staff. Breakfast above average. The only negative thing that struck me is that the hotel is mainly for people arriving by car or cabs. We had a 10 min stroll from the railway station in Waterloo st which wasnt very nice as we approaced the hotel. On the map it seemed the shortest and easiest way. Was told by the staff of a different route via Argyll St back to the train station which was much better, but how can a 1st time visitor know that? Collapse

On our visit, only one space available for Car Parking, very tight, especially when folk can't or wont park between the white lines, new Merc E class, probably trying to make sure nobody dented his new car !!
