If it was possible to give 5+ stars, I would. Don't hesitate to stay here! The staff were ALL so friendly and helpful. Every single one of them seemed eager & happy to help. A big shout out to James S., the Concierge who was always smiling, friendly, and knowledgeable! Pros: friendly staff (everyone single person you meet! Honestly, everyone! Every employee at the front dealing was asking to help me check in and it was like hey we're waiting for me!), comfortable beds, fantastic water pressure in the shower (important!), quiet rooms (our room was on the 4th floor overlooking 22nd Street and the traffic noise was so quiet! Seriously important because I'm a light sleeper), terrific location, safe area. Cons (small): we arrived to check in at 3:25 and check in started at 3:00. Imagine my disappointment when we drove 10 hours, unloaded 3 kids, half of our house it seemed, and our room wasn't ready after check-in started. That was very disappointing so they gave us each a bottle of water to ease the pain. We waited in the lobby until our room was ready because we need to unpack and repack a few things before our adventure to the National mall area. I feel this should not have happened. Also, we had 2 adults and 3 children as registered guests. Yet, housekeeping would not give us more than 2-3 towels per day. Every single day I had to either call or find the cart and get more towels. It seems like they should know how many guests are in the room. Other: We did a package deal with breakfast included. I highly recommend! It's not some normal bland continental breakfast. It's at the restaurant inside of the hotel and the food is delicious! With or without a deal, eat there (different review). The hotel was so efficient about getting us the vouchers for the breakfast that came with our package. This hotel has some marvelous people on their staff! Everyone made you feel welcomed and they were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone else. Thanks Hilton (Georgetown area)! Collapse

A nice DC/Georgetown property with Hilton-quality service in a good location for walkers (30 minutes downhill to the mall, 10 minutes to Georgetown shopping, 3 blocks from Foggy Bottom metro station and a 20-minute cab ride from DCA. Several restaurants of all stripes in close proximity. This is D.C., so street noise is always an issue, which means the higher the floor the better (this property has 10 floors). We are Hilton Honors Diamond, so we requested a corner **15 room (our room was 715), with two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows, a nice view of the busy street corner below and electronically controlled drapes for privacy. Street noise, but a lot of outside light, plenty of room with a work desk, a sitting area and a spacious bathroom. I want to especially commend Meryem and Abbie for their great service. We arrived very early (about 11:00 a.m.) due to our flight time and needed a room change. These two ladies were at the front desk, and we could not have been more pleased. They juggled room assignments, asked that our room cleaning be expedited, and provided water and candy for our short wait. We were in our room within 20 minutes thanks to their kindness and attentiveness. We will gladly stay here again the next time we return to D.C./Georgetown area! Collapse

I stayed here for 3 nights recently. Overall, I had a solid experience and would consider staying here again. The hotel has a location in that it is about .3 miles from the Foggy Bottom metro station and .4 miles from Dupont Circle (It did feel further than that though I trust the mileage on google). There is also a Walgreens and Starbucks across the street with CVS also being very close. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. Breakfast is not included, but they have a restaurant attached to the hotel and there are many nearby options. As far as the staff I interacted with, Rohina (I hope I am spelling that right) was a standout. While the other staff were polite, the service was a bit impersonal. Rohina was clearly making an effort to be personable, make sure everyone was comfortable, and that requests were taken care of. I thought that the bell staff could have been a lot more helpful. I had requested a wheelchair accessible room with a roll-in shower. While I have had issues lately with this need at a number of hotels, I have to say that the overall handicapped accessibility at this property (and in the room I stayed in) was very good and I tend to be a pretty harsh critic on that. This is a solid Hilton Garden Inn in a good location just outside of Georgetown and Foggy Bottom. It should not be mistaken for the nearby Park Hyatt, Ritz, Fairmont, or other properties of that 4 and 5 star caliber, but overall it is a reasonable option when staying in DC. The rates for the 3 days I was in town ($175/night) were on the less expensive side compared to other nearby properties though I would still consider that rate fairly expensive in general. Collapse

First of all, if you plan to visit here and are driving yourself make sure not to use the address listed about for navigation. There is no entrance on that side of the street and it will prove to frustrate you with all the one way streets and traffic to figure out how to park your car. The hotel is on the corner of 22nd street and M street but the entrance is on 22nd street. Use the address 1210 22nd street. If you are driving there is no clear sign for the hotel at street level. You will see flags with the Hilton sign at the 2nd floor. 22nd is a one way street so drive in the far left lane so you can pull to the side immediately after passing M street and give your call to valet. If you miss it, it can be a nightmare getting back around in bad traffic. So, on to the hotel. I thought the location was very good. The Ritz and Fairmont are in close proximity so you know the area is suburb. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were fine. The hotel is attached to a very good restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner which is really convenient. It was provides the hotel's room service. I would return to this hotel. As an aside, I would avoid getting a car if at all possible! Collapse
