Beautiful clean room with a very comfortable bed! The shower was excellent and it included plenty of towels. We didn't here any noise from our room and it's about a half mile from the metro. It was hard to chose which restaurant to go to as there were so many great ones to choose. All of the staff was friendly and professional. I'm looking forward to my next trip which will include a stay at Hilton Garden Inn. Collapse

I unequivocally recommend the Hilton Garden Inn located on M Street and 22nd Street to anyone visiting the Washington D.C. area for a multitude of reasons. This past week was my second time staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and I will definitely be staying again the next time I come to Washington D.C. The two times I have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn have been for week long business trips. Each time I have had amazing experiences with the staff, and the room I’ve stayed in has been beyond my expectations. I my most recent trip from August 14, 2017 to August 18, 2017, I had a bit of an emergency and the staff went out of their way to help me. In a day in age where corporations tend to treat their customers like they are nothing more than a number; the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn made me feel as if I was the only person in the world that mattered. It so unexpected how well the staff treated me that it almost was a little unnerving to be treated so well. As far as the area surrounding the Hilton Garden Inn there is so much to do. You are within walking distance of Georgetown and the Georgetown waterfront which provides every off all ages fun and entertainment. At the Key Boathouse which is located at the bottom of 30th Street in Georgetown you are able to rent kayaks, paddle boards, and row boats. There are all sorts of dining options. Georgetown has Bodega which is a quaint Spanish restaurant / wine bar, Clydes which is similar to a diner except way nicer and they have live music often, and J’Paul’s. If you happen to be in Georgetwon during the day I strongly recommend you check out Baked & Wired they sell the best cupcakes and baked goods ever! During this past trip I was sick which was not a problem because there is a CVS and a Walgreens directly across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn which brings me to my next pro tip courtesy of the front desk receptionist at the Hilton Garden Inn. Since I was sick I fell asleep early and by the time I woke up it was late. Since most restaurants in the Foggy Bottom area and really most of D.C. for that matter close around 10:30 P.M. – 11 P.M. during the week and by the time I woke up everything was closed. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk if he had any suggestion about late night dining he recommended Stoney’s on L Street. Stoney’s did not disappoint. The food was inexpensive, but it was still great. The Hilton Garden Inn is also a within three short blocks of the Foggy Bottom / George Washington University Metrorail Subway stop on the Metrorail Blue line. I strongly advise considering purchasing a Metro week pass for $60, if you don’t already have a Metrocard it is $2 to buy a Metrocard. The pass grants you unlimited access to Metrorail, Metrobus, and the Circulator bus. The DC Metro does not have a flat rate like the NYC Subway system; you are charged a fare based on how far you travel on the system which adds up pretty fast. The Metro week pass is super clutch because it enables you to easily access and explore the nightlife in the U Street area, the 14th Street corridor, Adams Morgan, and Dupont Circle. If nightlife it not your thing the Blue Line also enables you easy access to the Smithsonian museums via the Smithsonian Metrorail stop, Arlington National Cemetery which is also on the Blue line, and Metro Center which is a hub for the Blue Line, Silver Line, Orange Line, and Red Line. Metro Center is also approximately two blocks from the White House, and 3 blocks from the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, and the rest of the National Mall. You can literally be at the White House and the National Mall within roughly fifteen minutes. The Hilton Garden Inn is also close to many fitness opportunities. While there is a fitness center located in the hotel. I’m super avid about fitness the next block over on M Street and 23rd is SoulCycle, and on M Street and 24th is CrossFit Foggy Bottom. This past visit to Washington D.C. I took the opportunity to walk from the Hilton Garden Inn to the National Mall which is a couple blocks away and went for a run on the National Mall at sunset. The view is absolutely breathtaking. I would also recommend checking out the National Mall at night. There is something serene and peaceful about admiring the monuments without the crowds. The area is also extremely safe at any time of day or night. Between DC Metro, the US Park Police at the National Mall and the surrounding area, and the various other law enforcement agencies providing security for the various buildings in Foggy Bottom; the area is extremely. I would highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to anyone coming to the Washington DC area. Collapse
