We stayed in the Hilton for three nights after 9 days of hiking in the Dolomites. Very relaxing experience. It was great to escape the terrible crowded centre of Venice to this hotel. The room was ok - clean and with excellent bed. Breakfast ok - I have had better in other Hiltons. Staff friendly and always willing to help. The nice pool area was a nice bonus. Collapse
Service and accommodations are excellent but the Management needs help.

The Breakfast was great and the front desk staff and wait staff in the restaurant were also very very good, but we think the management of this hotel needs to reconsider some of its "rules", Wifi was free for us because we are hilton honors members but we are fast becoming IHG users because they seem to value their customers more than the management at Hilton. A good example was our request for transportation from the Venice port where we arrived by Cruise Ship to the hotel - NOPE - you are on your own either figure out the bus system or get a taxi - we really did not want to lug our stuff onto a Venice bus so we used a taxi - 35 Euros about 40 bucks for a 7 min ride to the hotel. We have traveled a LOT further with other IHG hotels like Intercontinental to airports and it was FREE. They indicated that they did not have a shuttle. However once we arrived at the hotel a shuttle WAS available to take us to the Airport when we left five days later. BUT not free - for this there was a charge. The distance to the airport was FAR greater than to the Port. AND the fee was 8 Euros. so about 10 bucks. Breakfast was very good but I do not think it was 20 dollars good. And that was PER PERSON. The room was not cheap either with the 40 dollar breakfast it worked out to 240 per night with taxes. I am aware that the hotels in Venice are very expensive but this hotel is NOT in Venice and we expected that the cost would be commensurate with the location - not so. If it was not for the good service I would have rated this hotel with two stars. Collapse

Very enjoyable short overnight stay. Buses stop outside for both Venice and the Airport. Huge outdoor swimming pool. Nice bar and outdoor seating area. Staff are very helpful, knowledge about the area and friendly.

Extremely convenient location! (I was worried it was not inside Venice & cudnt be happier we stayed here!). The hotel is literally 5 metres from d Bus station (5 min away - zero stops - to Venice island) busses run every 5-10 minutes (lines 5 & 19) so its super easy to go back/forth to d island. In the hotel/reveption the sell 24hrs (20 EUR) or trip (1.5 EUR) passes, so you dont have to bother at all! The passes btw are also good for the Water transport, so I highly recommend getting a 24 hrs card. Rooms are very modern & spacious, comfortable beds/mattresses, kettle w tea, and enough shelving. The bathroom was a bit tight but fine, has bathtub w shower, warming towel rack, wc/bidet, and a huge mirrored wall. Plenty of towels too which is nice (2x face, hand, body, bidet - had rarely seen that) that are always nicely replaced. Amenities are Peter Thomas Roth (same as Hilton brand - which are not my favorite). Rooms have central switch to turn off lights from d bedside! And plenty of plugs & USB chargers on BOTH bedsides (really really good!). They have a vey nice spaciuos garden, with trees around that privatize the area and a swimming pool outdoors (not temperature-controlled, so can be a but 'fresh'). You can get pool towels at the front desk. They have laundry (washer/dryer/iron) in d 1st floor, which is quite convenient (though I didnt use). They only have 1 restaurant + 1 bar, both with a very limited menu, however they were happy to accommodate our weird food requests for 'white sauce' pasta w shrimp, and other simple things not strictly on the menu. They are very accommodating, however the service is a bit intermittent (you need to hunt down the waiter at times). Food quality is good! We ate in several places in Venice island (some touristy some not) and d food was terrible... so we ended up only eating at d hotel (prices are basically same or cheaper). They have also a convenience store next to reception with basic food, beverage, sun cream, toiletries, etc that can be charged to your room and is not crazy expensive. Overall, I am extremely happy that we chose to stay here (vs inside Venice) as this has allowed us to have the full touristic buzz of d island + the comfort and relaxation that we needed after hectic touristic activities. I actually felt relieved I was not one of the tourists rolling their luggage up & down the bridges of Venice.. This hotel is quite luxury and feels much higher in specs in relation to its brand. we went to this beautiful hotel as a group of 18people and it was really strange for us that the check in time cost 55 minute,,we couldnt understand what were the receptionists doing and why they couldnt give us our rooms and this was very inappropriate for all of us. specially that we had booked in advance. the breakfast was not so good and although the bus stop is exactly in front of the hotel but it is not always convenient because sometimes you should wait more than 30 min for the bus to return to hotel from venice center. as a matter of fact the hotel was very clean with a big pool and very big and beautiful rooms with comfortable bed and modern decoration.
