Me and my partner stayed here on Saturday 18th February as a belated valentines night away. The hotel itself was nicely presented, we went out for a meal and drinks from about 6pm and arrived back at the hotel about 9:30pm, we discovered quickly that we wouldn't be getting much sleep as the bar located opposite the hotel was playing music that loud that I felt I was in there rather than in the building opposite. It was about 11pm and we attempted to try and get some sleep which seemed to be difficult due to how hard the beds were it felt like I was lying on concrete and was very uncomfortable. The next morning, after very little sleep due to the music, hearing people screaming outside from the bar and cars making loud noises at all hours of the early morning and how uncomfortable the bed was throughout the night we checked out of the hotel about 9am. When I approached the reception desk to say we were checking out, we were not asked about how our stay was which put me in an awkward position where I had to say to the receptionist that our stay was not what we expected due to having little sleep between the noise from the bar and people/ cars outside at all hours of the morning and how uncomfortable the beds were, where she did not seem very apologetic or empathised with our situation and that we were not happy with our stay. She was very reluctant to resolve the issue with us and the only thing we were offered at most was 10% to be refunded to us for our stay which would not even come to £10.00. She advised us that when booking we should of requested a quiet room for future reference where I was shocked at her response to which I replied I assumed all rooms would be quiet and when booking the room it did not state anywhere that the was a bar located no more than 20M away from the hotel so I would assume that no matter what part of the hotel you stayed in you would of heard the noises. Me and my partner were very disappointed in the approach the receptionist took with us and her reluctancy to correct the matter with us. Had we of known that there was bar / club so close to the hotel we would of never of booked to stay here. Very disappointing. Collapse

Don't think i will be returning back to this hotel, besides charging £15 for the car park for an over night stay, the double room i stayed in had the worst bed i have ever slept in. Each time i moved the bed and bed frame sounded like it was going to break or fall apart and was just so abnormally loud and kept me up most of the night!! Defiantly should either be fixed or replaced! Collapse

For a Hilton brand you would expect it to be a memorable stay but I definitely will not be staying at this hotel again. Check in was quick and easy as checked in online and they gave us a 'better' room apparently. Only good thing was the swan towels which I loved. But the room was cold, heating wasn't available during this time of year. The bed was uncomfortable, woke up with a backache including my partner who thought the exact same. Breakfast was average.. bacon was cold, omelette was dry. Staff was friendly. Gym was free and thought that was good. Suppose it's a good location near restaurants/clubs but for the price you would expect a good nights sleep and hot food! Collapse
