Staying at the Hilton Hotel was an excellent choice. All travel connections from Birmingham Airport, via Frankfurt Airport, railway station etc could not have been better or easier to understand. Our hotel was beautiful, service and courtesy of the staff of the highest order. Frankfurt itself has many attractions ranging from the Cathedral to the Old Town, river trips, excellent museums and amazing botanical gardens. We were exhausted from cramming so many activities into such a short stay. Collapse

This Hilton remains one of my preferred Frankfurt hotels when on business, being close both to the Zeil and only a short walk to the Business District. There’s a good selection of bars/pubs close by (including Waxys if you want to watch Premier/Champions League football) and a Steak House called Buffalo’s which remains a firm favourite. The look and feel of the hotel is modern and sleek and the rooms are clean, well appointed and of a reasonable size with comfortable beds and a good walk in shower. My welcome on arrival was friendly and check out was efficient. When I stayed on this occasion the restaurant was closed due to refurbishment and, personally, I find the bar by the lobby a bit too open (having almost an airport feel). However, the adjoining bar next door was very good and a new discovery on this visit. I was very pleased to find out that if you are a Hilton Honours member Internet usage in the rooms is complimentary, which didn't used to be the case. However, a continued gripe is that unlike other similar grade hotels, there are no free bottles of water in the rooms which means you have to pay €4.5 for a small bottle from the mini bar. Collapse

When I checked in yesterday, they gave us the room card in a card holder, its written in that card holder that joining hilton honors will get you benefits like earning points, free wifi, etc. Today, I created a hilton honors account and then I called the reception to add my stay to my account so I can get benefits, but I've been told that they cannot do this since we did not book our room through their website, and the lady told me to contact hilton honors directly and she wouldn't do that for me because of their ridiculous policy. I am just wondering why you do marketing for something you cannot provide for your clients. However, I know it might be a small thing, but it really ruined their good service. Also, I did not like the tone of the lady that answered my call. Collapse

It was not the quality I'd expect from a Hilton hotel. The room was nice but the shower kept running hot and cold and lacked power. I would not recommend this hotel unfortunately. Collapse

I am staying at this hotel ~120 nights a year, for three reasons only: the gymn, the swimming pool and the terrace for breakfast. No other place in Frankfurt can offer a 25m swimming pool, with such a sport-committed guests (everyone starting at 6:00 goes there to swim, swim and swim...Same with the Gymn: easy to stay focused and enjoy the workout Unfortunately the hotel itself is overage -- starting with the 80s interior and elevators which take forever (especially in the morning). The beds are great (like in all Hilton hotels) and some of the staff are extremely considered (especially Gabriela at the breakfast desk and most of the receptionist)...nevertheless, when being compared to the Jumeirah or the Villa Kennedy, this Hilton can not be rated more than average Collapse

I stay with Hilton a lot and I have a Diamond card. This hotel has decent rooms but the other services are awful. The executive rooms are well appointed but the shower was utterly pathetic: it was like something from a 1970s caravan! Breakfast was simply dreadful: it was being held in the ballroom as the restaurant was being refurbished but the food was COLD and I mean cold. It was not helped by a lot of guests (someone told us there are a lot of refugees put up at the hotel) leaving the covers open on the buffet but nonetheless the food was terrible. We even asked for poached eggs to get something fresh and when they arrived they were cold and the toast they were in was wet with an overwhelming flavour of vinegar. It was, by miles, the worst Hilton breakfast I have ever been subjected to. The staff, however, are lovely and very welcoming. In short, a decent room but I would find somewhere else to stay.
