Decent resort with great views, but not as clean or friendly as Id like. A mediocre beach hotel.

Where to begin? Haha, I booked this hotel last minute when wanting to add an extra day to my vacation with my best friend. We decided to go from Miami to Ft Lauderdale because we love it there. Normally we stay at The W, but decided to try something new as well as something slightly cheaper, but with a competitive price. My first impression of this hotel, starting in the lobby, was an odd smell. Which changed to a second different odd smell the second day. The staff was semi friendly, but not the kind that immediately would greet you or smile upon entering a door. Each elevator we used had some sort of fingerprints or smears all over the inside that was unpleasant to the eye. The room was spacious, and we had an amazing view of the ocean, but attention to detail was very, very, very missed here when it comes to cleanliness. I want to be clear that this room was very clean, but if you are anything like me and notice the small details, those things add up. The vents looked like they had not been cleaned in quite a long time, and the sliding glass door to the balcony looked as though it was cleaned with a wet towel over some windex. The sugar provided for the coffee was crusted at the bottom, as though it has gotten wet the night before, and the in room kitchenette (which is a wonderful feature that I love) did not have any cookware! The hotel stated with the purchase of my room that the kitchenette included a mini fridge, sink, stovetop and microwave, including pans to use to cook with. I was not intending to use them, but to find that I had none, not even silverware, was very disappointing. The room was stocked with many hand towels, but not enough large towels, and no second toilet paper was already provided. The toiletries looked as though they had been half used already with the exception of the bar of soap. The jetted tub was wonderful, but the stand alone shower was disappointing. The water pressure was amazing, but the showerhead was oddly too close to the wall and felt like I was showering up against a slab of marble rather than the shower itself. If you can overlook all of these things and consider them mild, then lets move on to the positives. The bed was AMAZING and probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in to date. I had a spectacular view of the ocean and my room was very quiet as well as super cold, which I really love. The mini fridge was really spacious, and the TV was well placed and quite enjoyable. All in all, I personally expected more from a Hilton resort. Their attention to detail was lacking and customer service was just okay. This is a wonderful option if you can overlook the small stuff, but I most likely will be choosing another option next time that pays closer attention to exceptional service than the Hilton. Collapse

My family and I stayed at this hotel because the hurricane knocked out our electricity in our home. We had no intention on going to a hotel but chose this hotel because of its location and Hilton reputation. Long story short we had to call house keeping several times to remove food left in the room from breakfast. We attempted to dine at the hotel restaurant and encountered several drunk guests which the hotel did nothing about. It got so bad we had to take or twin boys (7) and two-year old out of the dining room after guests began to get into a verbal and physical altercation. Again the hotel did nothing about this but did continue to serve them alcohol. Collapse

We came to the hotel on Friday, September 15th, the first day of being open after Hurricane Irma. All the staff from the front desk, the valets, the cleaning people and the hotel General Manager were so polite, helpful and made sure we were comfortable with the hotel given that they were not operating at full capacity. We were impressed at their capacity to be of service to us while knowing that some of them didn't have power at home. They were grateful for our concern about their families while also being focused on ensuring our stay was fun and satisfactory. We were very impressed and always love our stay at this hotel because of the quality of the hotel and the people. Collapse

Stayed here for a few nights in mid-July off-site for a workshop. Was hotel-hopping because I needed some Hilton membership additional stays to get some points back. Took a Lyft from the airport - was about $16.50, 25 mins away. They have an expensive parking fee and I wasn't going very far so I didn't rent a car. When I first checked in, got a room that seemed a little dirty still - the bath towel was on the floor, the toilet seat up and some of the toiletries were half-empty! They later tell me that it is their housekeeping protocol to leave a bath towel on the floor for the rug. But seriously - half used toiletries?! Luckily I got moved and the other room was fine. Room was in the corner and very clean and quiet with a partial ocean view. A/C individual-guest controlled. Closet with a few hangers. In-room safe. Wifi was pretty good and included because of Hilton status. Little kitchenette in the room. Bathroom was large, with a bath and separate walk-in shower. Lots of sink counter space. Peter Thomas Roth toiletries - small shampoo, small conditioner, body wash, hand soap. Lots of towels; good water pressure. No nightlight but they had some dimmer lights. Beautiful pool area and I also checked out the spa, which was small but I got a terrific massage. There also was a small gym. Breakfast with a voucher was nice at the restaurant near the pool. (Continental but you can pay more for the hot breakfast - it was a little confusing what was included vs. not.) Overall, a great stay but had some minor housekeeping issues at the start that were quickly remedied when I changed rooms. Collapse
