I had expected better. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. Overall, the hotel needs repairs and refurbishing. This includes rooms, the one bar and the one restaurant in the hotel. Upon check-in, our room had a non functioning light over the mirror in the bathroom, the toilet only partially flushed, the mirror in the bath was scratched as was the frame, the mirror was dusty and needed a good cleaning, there one small piece of paper in the notepad on the desk, there were no guides on the bedroom phone indicating how to contact housekeeping, room service, etc. When looking for the concierge, I was told to ask any question at the front desk. I asked about area restaurants and was told that there was a steak house about 10 blocks away. That made no sense so we went to the Conrad next door and had a wonderful meal. There is only one restaurant in the hotel and it,is on the 6th floor. The restaurant is attached to the and is very dark. there was only one other couple dining there when we entered. That should have been a clue. There was no décor, the tables and chairs were cheap and in need of refinishing or replacement. the food was mediocre at best. The bar had stools needed refinishing or replacement. The tables had formica tops that were damaged with chips off the top and corners. The dining options were pathetic and not at the level one expects from a Hilton Resort property. There was no restaurant for breakfast. The only option is a coffee bar where you stand in line to order coffee and a muffin or Danish. This hotel does not rise to the rating of a 4 or 5 star rating. It is the classic definition of 3 star. A traveler can do much better at a nearby hotel that is certainly a better value Collapse

We stayed at this hotel on St Patrick’s day and loved it. Really nice hotel, bar, food , pool area and great staff. Fantastic location. One minor criticism which means 4 stars from us rather than 5. It is a fairly pricey hotel , which is to be expected , and you are forced to pay a fee for resort facilities , such as beach towels, loungers on the beach etc, whether you use them or not . Still ok with that BUT , as you are mandatorily paying a fee for the beach furniture, why should you then be stung for another $20 when you go to the beach for an umbrella? Resort fee should surely include one sun umbrella?? Collapse

This is a nice hotel, but not what I was expecting. I have never been to Ft. Lauderdale before, and from the photos, I thought this was a large resort that would be a good getaway for relaxation. Actually the photos are a bit deceiving. It's not large at all, and the pool in on the 6th floor. Which means the pool gets really windy if it's at all chilly outside, which it certainly was last week. The hotel is across the street from the beach. I would not call it a resort, although they do have a spa on the premises. The hotel is located on the strip along with a bunch of other hotels, police sirens, police barricades and all the other accoutrements of Spring Break in Ft. Lauderdale. Again, not what I was expecting! I'm not saying the hotel was crowded with rowdy kids; all the kids we met were extremely friendly and respectful. My only complaint is that we paid extra ( a lot extra!) for a large room with a "full kitchen". However, the kitchen had no supplies: no dishes, pots, pans, or even a roll of paper towels. Any time we wanted anything, we had to call housekeeping and it took them literally hours to finally bring us kitchen items. The hotel was completely full, and maybe they are just not staffed up in housekeeping, but it was a disappointment. The last straw was when we requested a tea kettle, and one arrived 2 hours later without a power cord. The man on the phone promised we would have a tea kettle the next day, but that never happened. Wifi was slow and our Roku would not work at all because there was not enough bandwidth. Again, the hotel was full, and that was the explanation of why our Roku wouldn't work in the evening. Maybe it would have worked during the day. . . . Overall, the staff was friendly and professional and we really enjoyed our breakfast buffets. Collapse
Great location in Ft. Lauderdale

My wife and I had an extra day to spend in Fort Lauderdale after taking a cruise. We booked this the day we stayed and really enjoyed our visit. It is the best location on the beach with tons of restaurants to walk to. We will be back.

I had such an amazing time at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. From the moment you walk in the door you feel like you're escaping from real life, and entering a world where you can unwind. I stayed in a large suite here, with beautiful views out over the ocean. The room was clean and well equipped, with plenty of storage, and large, comfortable King bed. The location is incredible, with easy beach access and towels available to head down onto the sand. The pool area is stunning and there was plenty of space, I never found there wasn't anywhere for me to recline and relax. Collapse
