We stayed as a family of 4. The kids had a sofa bed and camp bed while me and my husband shared a double bed. Although very close to an airport and motorway the run was surprisingly quiet. While the room decor could do with updating it wouldn't stop us staying agin should we visit the area. We only has desserts I the restaurant which is as you would expect a little pricey. The staff throughout our stay were attentive and helpful. Kids enjoyed the pool although pool staff asked if our daughter would refrain from going in the jacuzzi despite being old enough (their guideline stated 8 above and she 8) which left her a little disappointed. The breakfast the following morning was excellent and the kids enjoyed the serve yourself style. Collapse

We stayed for 4 nights with extended family, in 2 rooms, as part of the Stay, Play, Explore scheme. On arrival it was clear that there were renovation works going on, as the main entrance was closed and we had to enter via a side entrance, and a few other areas were closed off, but overall it didn't affect us. Used the pool, it was clean and nice and warm temperature. The rooms we stayed in (131 and 133) were large and seemed to have been recently renovated, especially the carpet. Felt very spacious even when the sofa bed and travel cot were in there. Check in staff were pleasant. Staff at breakfast were excellent, there were plenty of them and they got us a high chair immediately, hot drinks and orange juice straight away, faultless service. The chef in particular was great, after the first morning he remembered that my two children each had porridge and he ladled it into the bowls for me and remembered how many ladles each child had. I heard him offering to bring a made-to-order omelette to another lady's table too- I didn't see his name but this chef a man in his 20s I guess was ace. Now the not-so-good part. As we had 3 children aged 5 and under we didn't want to go into the main restaurant in case it disturbed the ambience of other diners. The less formal bar area appeared newly renovated and looked really appealing, so we had dinner in the bar area on 2 nights. It wasn't immediately obvious whether we should order at the bar or if it was table service. We found a table, it took a few minutes to track down a member of staff to get us a high chair. We looked the the menus and after at least 5 minutes no member of staff had been to see us so we assumed we had to order at the bar. My mother in law went to the bar and ordered the food for herself and husband, while at the same time another member of staff approached me as I queued at the bar to order and said she would take our order at the table! From that point a nice waitress took over, who to be fair was very good, especially with the children. She kept bringing toys for them and referred to them by name. She appeared to be perhaps of Indian origin, early twenties? The next evening, it was a similar start. We had been out all day, all three children were tired and hungry. No-one acknowledged us, I had to track down a member of staff to ask for a high chair again which took a few minutes. We quickly decided what we wanted to order, no one came. I went to the bar and asked if they could possibly come to the table to take our order as there were quite a lot of us at our table for me to remember. The lady said she would be over in 2 minutes. A few minutes later she finally came and we ordered. One of the dishes had mash instead of chips as requested, so had to be changed. It took me several minutes to get someone's attention to ask for some mayonnaise. In fairness, the food was tasty and well presented on both evenings. But that didn't excuse the fact that service was frustratingly slow (and confusing in terms of table/bar service). It seemed that there just weren't enough staff present in the bar both evenings. There was certainly a huge disparity in the level of service we received at breakfast compared to both evening means. It seemed beyond a joke that a service charge was automatically added to the bill both evenings…we certainly would never have chosen to leave a tip for such slow service normally but couldn't face yet more waiting to ask for it to be deducted. So overall, we enjoyed our stay, rooms were spacious and well equipped, breakfast great. Just don't eat in the bar in the evening unless you're happy to put up with very slow service and don't have tired hungry kids with you! Collapse

Stay a few times over the past few weeks and each time I order food it seems to be forgotten about. Have waited over an hour each time, seem to struggle with f&b. Would recommend eating elsewhere as it really would be quicker to drive to local village and eat at one of the restaurants. By the time you get back to the hotel you would still be waiting for your main. Collapse

Very Clean. Friendly & helpful staff. Comfortable beds & air conditioning in the rooms. Tea & coffee (+++) in the room. Used the swimming pool which is okay for a short swim with 2 kids in tow! Didn't eat from the menu so no comment on the food. Taken to airport on time with no fuss - polite & friendly driver. 10 - 15minutes drive at the very most. Phoned to be collected from airport and driver came but had to book us a taxi as his vehicle was full. This was not a problem at all and was returned to the hotel promptly and collected our car from where we left it. Overall - great hotel. Would book again. Collapse
