We decided to go for treatment after work and this time we chosen Hilton Spa , few things which need to be highlight besides the treatment and therapist did good work . However in terms of spa experience or journey it wasn't there . There were not initial instruction from the spa team if anyone of us has any issue with body where spa therapist has to be careful or focus . We were left in waiting room , attendant asked if we need something to drink . Tea was requested but never came . 1 hour treatment was including the preparation time as well , treatment room was not ready . Accessories or pre arrangements were not done (i.e. Pillow on the treatment bed with towel ) . I would highlight the therapist were good when it comes to body treatment , but experience and journey wasn't there . At the end of treatment we were looking for shower but nothing was communicated and we have to wear clothes with oil . Collapse

Stayed 8 nights so got a pretty good feel for the hotel. Very fast check in. Room fine, we had some technical issues that were solved and checked up on by front desk. Nothing major. I asked for an upgrade half way through stay and lovely blonde Ukrainian staff member - Natalya? made it happen. Room service always great, friendly guys delivering. New room really nice. Hotel bar friendly and busy. Trader Vics great music, food was OK and cocktails pretty good! Fun atmosphere. Pamela in Exec lounge really very friendly and hardworking staff there too. Good deal to use the lounge..Concierges really helpful. Housekeeping really very good. Room always sparkling. We did notice quite a few small repairs that needed done in the outdoor area. Management need to pay attention to these things- broken lights, missing pool tiles etc as it is noticeable. But Id definitely stay they again on the strength on the staff. They are a credit to the hotel. Collapse

I just got back from 4 nights at the Hilton Doha. The customer service all over the hotel was outstanding. They were so accommodating and friendly. The hostess at the restaurant even knew me by name at the end of the my stay. I had an Executive Suite with panoramic views of the city and the bay. The rooms are spacious and well suited for me to work in my room when needed. The shower is fantastic! They even arranged a car service for me to/from the airport. I would definitely stay again and the rates were very affordable. Collapse

I lived in the Gulf for a year in the early 90s, and it all came flooding back when I checked into the Hilton Doha. Am guessing this was built in the late 80s, when the Sheraton/Hilton/Intercontinentals were the best address in town in this region. But the world has moved on, and this hotel feels very tired. 4 things were wrong for me: - the customer concepts are dated. Traders Vic still exists? With the price of dishes painted onto the outside of the building in a 5* hotel? Coke branded fridges around the pool? There is a bar (?) on the first floor called 'High Heels'! - food quality in the restaurant is poor. Ingredients are too cheap for this standard of hotel - the maintenance is poor. Sanitary fittings were broken both in the room and gym changing room. 40c is a tough environment for maintenance, but this place feels a bit broken. - the hygiene is poor, and that's not acceptable at all. My room was dirty in places (finger prints on polished surfaces, the labels for the free water must be reused many many times and are tatty... on something you drink?!). My bathroom had a bamboo plant feature sitting in a vase of water that was fetid. Awful. I am Hilton diamond so got a room upgrade. However, be aware that hotel sits in an odd position. It is 'nose on' to the sea. So the front of each floor is pointing out to sea (one suite) and the 2 other suites are at the back pointing to the city. So unless you're in a big suite, you won't get the best views, and the views from 'panoramic rooms' are worse than normal rooms (your panorama is the building site that is Doha). When I booked, Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton was £60-£100 more per night. Assuming those operate nearer to their international brand standard, that would be money well spent. That's a big if though - Doha might be the capital of the world's richest country, but you wouldn't know it from the standards in public places. I guess most people come here for business. I can't imagine spending more than a day here maximum by choice. It was October, and already too hot to eat breakfast outside in the shade at 6.30am. Collapse
