Great location with full services, friendly staff, upscale facility includes bar , restaurants and Starbucks, on site easy parking. The property is roughly 0.3 Mile from Fenway Park, Newbury Street shopping ,restaurants and bars. Most rooms offer an excellent view of the Boston city skyline. Whether walking to city parks, attractions , cab or the T line it is easy centrally located. Breakfast was terrific, rooms well appointed and clean. The facility met or exceeded our requirements so I would recommend staying there as I have recommended to friends already. The staff aimed to please and helpful too. Collapse

My family and I stayed in this hotel for two nights and we were not disappointed. I am giving an average rating due to the cramp bathroom, lacked of working electrical outlets, and damp feeling carpet. Perhaps the carpet had been cleaned? It was just strange. The bathroom was so tight - with minimal space between the toilet and tub. I don't need a ton of room, but this was excessively small. And, there were working outlets on the lamp at the desk; however, the outlets on the beside lamp were useless. The plug just fell out when inserted (on both sides). Otherwise, this hotel was on par with other Hilton properties - helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice lobby. I do wish microwaves were provided, but the in-room amenities are very nice. I love the fruit-infused water in lobby, but complimentary coffee was lacking. We attended a Red Sox game while in town and this hotel was PRIME location to walk to Fenway. Very easy to get around this part of the city on foot. We were able to walk to the Prudential Center for our duck tour and the area restaurants were great. (Go to Flour Bakery - right outside the hotel!) Catching an Uber from this hotel was soooo easy, we never waited more than three minutes for one to arrive. The fare to Brookline was around $12 (mid day) and the fare to airport (late morning) was $17. Collapse

The hotel advertises that they have Wifi but our room did not have Wifi -- at least wifi that stayed on unless you stood at the door to the hallway all the time. We asked for help repeatedly and the problem was not solved. I asked for a manager the next day and I was told the manager is unavailable, but someone else agreed to move us to a new room. If you need Wifi this is not the hotel for you; otherwise it is good. The staff the next told me they know that some rooms do not have Wifi, yet the management continues to advertise that they do have Wifi - implying that all rooms have it, which is not the case. There are too many things that were less than satisfactory with this hotel and the room. To begin with, I had stayed at this hotel previously and knew that the rooms do not have microwave. Upon arrival I requested one and I was told that while a microwave is complementary, it was not available. I again called the reception desk the next day and requested for microwave and I was again told that it was still unavailable. For the price I was paying for the room ($379 per night), it is unbelievable that the hotel cannot afford having enough number of microwaves available for the guests who request it (or maybe even provide one for each room and those who don't want will not use it!). Second, the chair in the room for the desk was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I use the table and chair for in-room dining as well as for doing computer work and writing work. It was downright excruciating to sit on a chair for more than 15 minutes that has not wheels, no height adjustment and no recline. I agree the chair "looked" elegant and added to the décor of the room but please consider adding more wall paintings for the décor and provide "usable" chairs in the room! Third, the internet connection. It downright sucked! The connection became weaker and weaker between evening 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Noticing this on the first day, I decided to purchase Premium Connection the next day since I had to do a video conference for work at 9:00 PM. The Premium Connection was equally poor. To be fair, the hotel removed the charges for the premium internet from my bill without me haggling and complaining about it (perhaps the management knows that internet quality is poor?!). Another perhaps minor issue was the coffee maker. Again there was aesthetically pleasing arrangement for stowing the coffee machine unit inside the cabinets below TV but I wasn't able to find a power source to connect this coffee machine to operate it at this place. So I had to take it out and move it to the bedside table. Similarly, for the study table there was no electricity point on/near the table. In the era of smartphones, laptops, tablets, Bluetooth devices, its quite unacceptable to not provide (multiple) electricity points near the table. And lastly the lighting in the room was dim which made the room gloomy after dark. I understand that this could be a personal preference but it wouldn't hurt providing one or two more lamps and those who need more light in the room will use those, other will keep those turned off! All in all, it felt like staying in a low-end motel chain that was masquerading as high-end hotel. Not quite what I would expect from Hilton Hotels and certainly not something for which I would pay $379 per night. Collapse

The Back Bay Hilton is always such a great place to stay. Its clean, friendly, and a wonderful quiet sanctuary from the hubbub of the hub. Whenever I go to Boston this place is my first choice and I recommend it for business or family travelers.
