I had a King room on the 6th floor. I had asked for the 6th floor overlooking the river for the view and was not disappointed. From the window I could see the 2 H&W cranes, parts of the outskirts, the river and all the way to the distant hills. Rowers could be seen using the river during the day and there was a lovely sunrise. The room was spacious and the good use of mirrors made it look even bigger. All the usual Hilton facilities were present. All was well until, fairly late at night, I spotted a smeared blob of shaving gel on the wall near the shaving socket from a previous occupant. Clearly the room had not been cleaned thoroughly. I reported this the next morning and was told that the housekeeping manager would be told. I was asked if there was anything the hotel could do but really the trust had gone. Closer inspection of the room showed a tired looking room in need of some TLC. There were chips in the bath enamel, a shower hose cover missing and water damaged window ledges. The plumbing could do with some attention since the sink in my room gurgled when my neighbours used their facilities. The good news was that the rest of the room looked clean and hygienic. I did have a good night's sleep, I did have a great breakfast but I will remember the visit for the wrong reasons. Collapse

The hilton in Belfast is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. Check in was smooth and was even followed up with a text to ask if I was happy. I was. Wonderful room with a fantastic view. Our evening in the lounge was so relaxing and the host that evening was so helpful and courteous.I did not catch her name however she was there both evenings and did a great job. The food in the lounge had good variety including a tasty hoi sin duck salad, top marks. I hope to see this particular item again as it was so good. We had breakfast in restaurant which was very tasty. Nice cheery girl welcomed us with a chocolate muffin. Javeed saw that I was disappointed in the new coffee machine system and immediately offered to get me a pot of coffee. He’s a friendly helpful guy and it was a pleasure to meet him. I think guests will probably prefer an actual pot of coffee, I know I do. Javeed was consistently attentive during our stay. It was such a shame to have to leave. I will definately return in the near future. Top marks. Collapse

A large group came to the Hilton for lunch - this is a regular occurrence within our organisation however after today and the experience we had I will be avoiding at all costs. The service was poor from the beginning with only one member of staff manning the bar and dealing with food orders. We waited an excessive amount of time before both food and drinks orders were taken. The food itself was average and really nothing out of the ordinary. Once the bill arrived I was shocked to see I had been charged £12.60 for a glass of wine while other members of the group had been charged considerably less. We made staff aware of this and initially it was shrugged off - persistently we complained again and a lady manager agreed a refund. The bill was already in process of being paid and cheekily she again made us feel in the wrong and vocally proclaimed that she believed the wine had been refunded and the extra money was now a tip - a tip which had coincidentally already been included in the bill for what I believe was a horrendous service. I am shocked by the attitude of this member of staff, she in no way made us feel welcome nor did she want to help us resolve our issue. I left in disgust without having the issue resolved. I will ensure everyone within our large organisation knows about the appalling service received within the Hilton today and I will endeavour to ensure that no business meetings or team lunches will be held within this establishment again. All in all, a bitterly disappointing lunch. Collapse

Good location hotel in the centre of town attractions and restaurants close at hand - some rooms a bit tiered but I think there is a program of refurbishment going on. Gym is a bit characterless - breakfast excellent - evening meal in bar lacks imagination - best to stick to the main restaurant- staff throughout are a credit to the badge well done. Collapse
