A fantastic 10 days spent with my husband and daughter in a lovely location.

We spent 10 days in Los Cristianos and thoroughly enjoyed it. Weather was mixed but the place was lovely. Staff very nice and helpful. We were about 15 mins from the beach and we spent three or four days at the beach as it was clean and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. In relation to the apartments they were spotlessly clean and rooms attended to every day. Not very suitable for families with young children or elderly couples as there's a lot of steps to be climbed if you don't get an apt on the ground floor. The apt block is divided in two so it could do with a lift or two. I'm not a huge fan of all those extra charges when you arrive on site.......safe, wifi, and even the t.v. we're all extra. There was almost €100 gone and we hadn't even got to our apt! Collapse

Well after arriving here, staff didn't show us to our room nor help with luggage, so anyway we get to our room very very low quality on everything. To pay for tv remote when it was included...horse s#*t!!!! Beds are camp beds it is as bad as the floor!!! Chairs are not to be sat in there horrible, travel cot for our 9 month old is worn dirty and full of rips. Rooms very dated and old. This is our 3rd day and it's depressing I suppose you pay for what you get here but seemed lovely on all pictures!!!! Don't be fooled it's low cost cheap dirty and awful. I give this place a big fat zero but on the plus when u do get out there visit Harriet's cafe it's yummy.....but yeh safe to say we're all ready to go home just another 11 days to bare it just wish we could move aparts right now. Please read reviews on this first and people that say it's nice really need to live the good side of life and this isn't it!!!!! Collapse
Would go back without hesitation.

The complex is split into two. We were in the Cristian Sur (half board) not Tenerife Sur. Arrived late at 930pm, staff were welcoming helpful and food was no problem, was told to take our time checking in, not to rush. Room was more than adequate but if you're self catering the appliances looked tired and there was no microwave. Normal size fridge is provided. Our room overlooked the street which was a little noisy although the bedroom is located away from the balcony. All noise from the road dies away after midnight and is then quiet. The sofa simply has a pull out section underneath which then sleeps 2. Plenty of room for 2 children. The complex is heavily tiled which does cause echoes and sound to travel and can be annoying hearing suitcases being pulled along at 7am. We were apprehensive about the buffet style half board. We were totally wrong. Lovely food at the restaurant across the road. Some dishes changed each day others stayed. A nice selection of various dishes. Always fresh salads, fish, meat and vegetarian options. Well priced drinks. A good breakfast selection catering for all tastes. Coffee and juice machine self service. Waiters were brilliant and very children friendly. Location is perfect. 20 mins stroll to the beach and close to a few shopping centres. Everything you need is within a short walk. Some nice small parks, mini markets open late, bank machines, bars, taxi rank etc. The small cafe on the complex charges €2.50 for a beer (plastic glass if your near the pool). The mini market on the site only charges 50cents for a can of San Miguel and you can get a hot sandwich for €2. The only annoying thing was having to cross the road which wasnt that busy but with two small children extra care had to be taken seeing as there was no crossing. Pools are clean, big and the water is tested by an attendant. There is also a life guard buzzing around too. You'll need extra money if you want WIFI and TV, but 4g is available. On checking out the staff will let you put your bags into a locked luggage room. If you want a swim or the kids want to frolic in the pool after checking out then towels and shower are provided. Staff are very helpful and have a vast knowledge of the island and will help with any request. Trips can be booked and paid for at reception. Overall a great experience where the positives out way the few negatives. 8/10 Collapse

We stayed in this disaster of an apartment in February 2017 and we booked it via Holidays4U and all emails were with Karen Durant. Cristian Sur itself is a good site, well kept with lots of healthy planting in the gardens and the heated pool is a good size. We had stayed in other apartments before and had excellent holidays. Amarillo 40 is horrible apartment which, although superficially clean, has not been touched for many years. Nothing works and we had no hot water for the last three days of our holiday. The electrics were very worrying and fuses kept tripping out. We sought help for the lack of hot water while we were on holiday and had the dubious pleasure of meeting Mark, the owner. He was more interested in his own bad fortune and possibly having to replace the boiler when he had recently paid out money for repairs on another apartment. He is clearly only interested in banking the cheques and has no concern for anything else. I have failed to resolve these issues with Holidays4U and can only advise others to avoid them. There are good owners out there - book with one of them. Avoid Amarillo 40 at Cristian Sur Collapse
