I recently stayed in the Heston Hyde Hotel due to some unforeseen circumstances. I found the hotel using the hotels.com app, it ticked several boxes being close to where I was, reasonably priced and it looked very clean and comfortable. The hotel did not let me down on my expectations when I arrived. Room was very clean and had a good sized bathroom and a very good shower! The hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar and gym, although I didn’t get to use any of these they all seemed to be to a high standard. My only two criticisms are that the noise from flight traffic coming in and out of Heathrow was quite loud. That being said, I slept very well through the night, only being disturbed by the fire alarm going off for a few minutes in the early hours which leads me to my second criticism. After hearing the fire alarm sound for over 3 minutes, I was obviously concerned not not knowing if there was an actual fire or not. I had to get dressed then go and investigate for myself. Fortunately it was a false alarm but it would have been nice to have had some reassurance from the hotel staff. Would I stay here again? Yes, if I was visiting the local area. Very good value for money when you compare it to a travel lodge or premier inn. Collapse

We stayed here for one night as it was close to Heathrow terminal 5. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was buffet with plenty to eat and plenty of choices. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and advised us of the best way to get to Heathrow was by bus (482) at a cost of £1.50 one way. Cost of leaving your car at the hotel works out at £10 a day so works out cheaper than using the short stay at the airport. Would use this hotel again if travelling from Heathrow. Collapse
Stay at Wedding Reception

We attended a wedding reception at the hotel, who had made excellent arrangements for guests seating and bar areas were well equipped and manned. The ambience was very comfortable and we could move around easily

Heston Hyde Hotel is a good choice for accommodation, if you plan to rent a car. We chose this hotel as they provided free parking; other hotels charged an average of 16 pounds/night. For people who wish to drive out of London city, to Biscester Village, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge and Stratford-upon-Avon, this Hotel is located just outside the main highway: M40, therefore, you dont waste time stuck in traffic trying to get onto the highway. Furthermore, for urgent ammenities there is a coin operated laundromatte and a few convenience stores just down the road. The hotel is situated just a 5-10 minutes drive from Southhall which comes in handy if you crave for Indian food. The regular fast food chains such as KFC and MacDonalds are all within the 5-10min drive vicinity. There is a huge Tesco, Costco outlet 5 minutes drive away as well. If you do not have a car, the nearest tube is quite far and the bus stops are not very close either which may prove ironically more expensieve. The hotel offers a nice pool and gym. They also provide room service which is great for guests who arrive at odd times and are hungry. The rooms are of decent size, though please note, a queen size bed are 2 twin beds "zipped up" and made together, quite uncomfortable for a couple. The bathrooms are clean and suitable for its basic purpose. This hotel would fulfill your basic necessities of a place to sleep and shower, nothing more to expect. However, as a form of improvement, I would say they may wish to come up with better concierge services, as half the time we had to keep going to the reception to call for someone and once as they were lacking manpower, had to carry our luggage ourselves. I usually stay in Premier Inns, but having a Dublin trip and with parking here quite reasonable and close to the airport, I decided to try this for a change. It will be a one off. The place is huge, with long corridors. Not a great arrival experience having to walk to my room 3 times before a key worked, but that would have been fine had it not been for the poor attitude of the staff on reception who did not even pretend to care. The room is nice and clean. However, the mattress is covered by an ill fitting sheet - and only a sheet, no protector, not my idea of clean... And when I book a double not a twin, having 2 single beds zipped together is not really the point... The wifi is very poor, with no option to upgrade. That alone will mean this is a one off visit for me! Lastly, advertising yourself as park and fly with no airport bus / transfer system in place... No wonder the parking is cheap as the taxi will cost the saving. Also another example where the staff were less than helpful. Collapse
