This hotel is near Heathrow Airport & therefore convenient for short stays. However it is slightly out of the way & people may find it inconvenient if wanting to use public transport. The breakfast buffet was average with not much choice & service was very basic. The packed breakfast provided due to early departure was below average. Rooms were reasonably comfortable with all the basic necessities in place. Collapse

The hotel has a lot of things going for it such as the pool, sauna, grand foyer, bar and restaurant. I can only imagine that this hotel has been taken over by another group as the attitude of the staff did not reflect this. With the exception of about 3 members of staff, I found the team to be overall indifferent and unfriendly. The room is of a very good size and standard as is the bathroom but the toilet seat had sticky residue on it and it looked as though something had been ripped out of the wall. At first I was offered a change of room which I agreed to but instead I was greeted by a member of maintenance who decided to attempt to remove the sticky substance with a knife. I was offered no apology and that was the end of that. Most members of staff would stare and not offer any greeting when seeing guests move around the hotel. The breakfast, in my opinion, was of a low standard and not of that expected at a 4 star hotel. If you don't interact with staff and avoid the breakfast, it would be possible to have a 4 star experience Collapse

Returned to this hotel for the 2nd time in august as part of our weekend away for the Rugby league challenge cup. In my first review I criticised the breakfast , the hotel was good The breakfast awful. I did receive a reply from the hotel and maybe thought I had been a bit harsh so this was the perfect opportunity to check it out again . Let me start with the hotel, really well organised check in even though we arrived as a coach load , lovely clean hotel and very helpful efficient staff who were excellent at there job, super fast lifts so no waiting for ten minutes to get to your room. This time round our room was at the back of hotel so we had a superb view of all the planes landing at Heathrow airport no noise just a great view, our room was spotless and clean and had everything needed for a short stay including a little fridge . These really were nice rooms and very comfortable beds and free wifi . After a great nights sleep and a nice shower it was time for breakfast , alas nothing had changed from our last visit, you have to sit on huge round tables with people you don't know , again cold food even from the trays that kept running out as you got near them , a good selection yes , hot no , even though this was a busy weekend it needs to be sorted better than it is. That's enough of the negativity as I would stay here as much as possible, it is a great hotel , fantastic rooms well organised , and great staff and don't be put off by the breakfast issues and if your in any doubt book this hotel it's well worth it , all in all brilliant hotel and wouldn't hesitate to make my way here for a stay , Just wish the breakfast could be sorted out , ( ps everyone at breakfast was complaining so it can't be just me who thinks it needs to be better ) Collapse
