Excellent stay, personnel is very friendly and make you feel like home. The hotel is fairly well located to have access through subway to many different areas in Manhattan. I had excellent time there.

I was a bit skeptical because the price was very affordable. When I arrived, I was very pleased with this brand new property (or remodeled). The staff is super nice and they greet you every single time. It’s not a gigantic hotel, so you can always get what you need quickly. The room was great, clean, spacious, and quiet. I was impressed by how good of a hotel this was for such a price; hard to find. I will definitely stay here next time since it is in the middle of everything. Collapse
Unqualified, amateur staff. Respectable room.

I stayed here on a Saturday w/my wife. Upon our 2:30 arrival I pulled my car up near the valet service area where to my surprise, I realized there was neither a parking space, nor a valet staff present. With my car halfway blocking a busy street, and horns blowing like the wind, I went inside to see what protocol was and left my wife in the car to fend for herself with angry NYC commuters. I entered the hotel and was greeted by an ornery receptionist who wasn't too interested in communicating with me, as evident by her crude tone and abrasive attitude. I have no doubt that she was probably just having a bad day, but when your work in customer service you need to learn how to fake it despite your situation. She called the valet person over her walkie-talkie and stated he was on his way. I went outside and emptied my car of luggage and set it on the sidewalk. A short while later the valet appeared, but the look on his face told me something was wrong. At that point I was informed that the valet driver did not know how to drive a manual transmission stick shift. Really? I pay $70 for valet and the employee can't even drive my car? That's unacceptable. So here we are, staring at each other in the middle of NYC traffic wondering what's next. The driver made some phone calls on his cell phone and approx 20 min later a man showed up and drove my car away. I'm not even sure if he works for the same company. The room was nice and I'd recommend it to others looking for a hotel near MSG. It was clean, modern, and had a nice view. It was walking distance to all major attractions in Manhattan and easily accessible by train, foot, car, etc. The next day we checked out and got to relive the valet nightmare we experienced the day before. My wife and I waited for nearly an hour for my car to show up, watching other submit their tickets and receive their automobiles within 10 minutes. I'm pretty confident that they didn't have a driver who could get my car out of the garage, and again they had to make phone calls to find someone from a nearby garage to bail them out. Instead of being honest with me, they continued to reinforce that my car was on its way "any minute". Well, "any minute" turned into 55-minutes. You'd think that after going through this experience twice on the same trip that they'd compensate me some or all of the ridiculous $70 valet fee. Nope, my keys were handed to me, I tipped the driver, and couldn't get out of that hotel quick enough. Unfortunately, due to the unqualified valet staff, along with the hotels disinterest in acknowledging their epic faults, I will probably never stay here again. Collapse

One block from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden; easy walk to Times Square, Macy's, etc. Excellent location, wonderful staff. This is our go-to place when arriving in NY by train. On 31st St so not too noisy!
