Knowing about the high cost of hotels in New York, I was looking for a hotel with the best price-performance ratio and I think I found it. LOCATION. The hotel is in the lower third of Manhattan, on 23th Street. Very close to the metro station is the red line (No. 1), as well as within walking distance of the metro station of other lines, which is very convenient. Also around a bunch of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. SIGHTS Within walking distance is the Flatiron Building, Pennsylvania Station, near the Empire State Building. To view the city the location of the hotel is good and if you really want to, then you can walk on foot as far as the bottom, and up to the central park. STAFF The staff is competent and friendly, always ready to help, check in and check out passes very quickly. 2 days prior to arrival the hotel withdrew money for the first night, and on the morning of the day of arrival, without waiting for our arrival, withdrew the remaining amount from the card. It was strange. ROOM There are 4 rooms on the floor. We were given a room on the 5th floor with windows overlooking the very 23rd street. There was only one bed in the room. At the reception I was told that the hotel now does not have rooms with two beds. The room itself is quite spacious, but it's bad that the bed, although it's big, was just one and we had to sleep together with my friend. This, of course, was not a serious problem, but sleeping on different beds would have been better. Near the entrance to the hotel there is an underground parking, on the peak of which there are quite powerful fans and the first night we heard this noise. We asked to relocate us, but there were no vacant rooms and we stayed. Over time, we stopped noticing noise. The room has everything you need, including safe, iron, TV, floor air conditioning, frige. In the bathroom I would like more space for the placement of cosmetic supplies. On the 5th floor there is an ice-maker, which operates from 9 to 21 hours. BREAKFAST Reading the reviews of a great breakfast, I expected much more. Perhaps by the standards of America such breakfasts are considered excellent, but from my point of view this is the most usual average breakfast. Of course you will not remain hungry, but do not count on delicacies. There is porridge, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages, jam, Philadelphia cheese, yogurt, cereal and muesli, fruit, some pastries, juices, tea and coffee. You can also bake wafers yourself. All utensils are disposable, but it did not bother us at all. During the day, you can drink tea, coffee, cocoa, which are freely available near the breakfast room. When we left, we could not call Uber and the girls from the reception promptly called us a private car that arrived in 10 minutes and we got to the JFK airport without any problems. In any case, I liked the hotel and I would stay in it again. Collapse
