Absolutely wonderful property. Staff is awesome. Even though the property is going through a remodel, everything was perfect. I just wish that there was more of a selection on breakfast buffet. Great coffee though.

In December, my husband and I spent 3 weeks at the Hampton Inn Boca Raton. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was undergoing renovations but the staff tried very hard to minimize the inconvenience that the renovations were causing. We started out in a non- renovated room on the first floor. It had seen better days but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable, with a freshly laundered duvet and lots of pillows, including feather ones. One week later, we were told we had to vacate the room due to renovations starting on that floor. Guillaume, the manager, was extremely apologetic and extremely helpful with the move. He gave us a choice of three newly renovated rooms and I ultimately chose one on the fourth floor. Guillaume was as helpful and nice as can be. He moved the luggage himself so that we would not have to wait. He even put up with my attempts at practicing French with him with patience and grace. The new room had never been used. The shower was fabulous and the bed was just as comfortable as the first room. The sink area had tons of space to put medicines and toiletries on. The only negative about the room was the lack of drawer space. There were only 3 drawers and 3 shallow closets. Since I was staying a long time, I had to put most of my clothes on the dresser. It wasn't a big deal but whoever designed the new room should have put in more drawers. The free breakfast which came with the room was terrific. Every day was a hot egg dish with sausage or bacon and a hot waffle machine to make your own waffle. Carmelite, who runs the breakfast was so lovely and helpful. She made me a waffle quite a few times as I could not quite figure out the machine. She was always so friendly and cheerful. The breakfast buffet had everything anyone would want. Hot oatmeal, cold cereals, breads, english muffins, bagels, muffins, even gluten free choices. Yogurts, peanut butter and jelly, fresh fruit (Florida oranges were fantastic!), Everything was super clean and inviting. There was plenty of seating for everyone. There were free newspapers everyday and free wifi. After breakfast, my husband and I would head for the pool area, which was really nice, to catch up on messages and read the paper. What a great start to the day! Every night there were fresh baked cookies and milk. On Monday and Tuesday evenings, there was a reception for hotel guests. We took advantage of that on our last night since we had returned our car and the pizza place next door was closed. We had delicious macaroni and cheese. Wine and beer as well as soft drinks were also served. This hotel is perfect for those who want to feel like they are at a home away from home. The entire staff was terrific and friendly and quick to help. We were greeted with a pleasant goodbye and hello when we left and upon return. A brochure of restaurants was printed up to take with us. Each restaurant was rated depending on how expensive it was and how far it was from the hotel. We asked for more hangers and they were delivered to our room immediately. Any toiletries you might have forgotten are provided upon request. I could not have asked for a better vacation. I highly recommend The Hampton Inn Boca Raton. We hope to return in the near future! Incompetent, dishonest management; and the hotel wasn't very good either

Pls excuse length of this, but I don't think I've ever given a hotel fewer then 4 stars. First, the hotel: aside from the poor management, I would have given the hotel 2 or 3 stars. It is unpleasantly located off an alley-type street behind a gas station. The renovated rooms are still quite bland, though the new showers are very nice. Breakfast is ok, no more than that. There is no exercise room (they give you a pass to an offsite place). They charge $100 more than the far superior Spring Hill Suites, which is in a nicer location 1/2 mile away. They were undergoing renovation, but assured me when I booked that no work would be done before 10 in the morning. I called back to confirm that and also confirmed when I checked in. On my third morning, construction awakened me at 7:40a! (I am on chemo and really need my sleep, though all guests should be able to count on no construction). The manager whom I called said she'd have them stop, begging the question of why it took my call to get her to act. After two more unfruitful calls, I dressed, packed, and got out of this place. As I left, the manager said she couldn't get them to stop! What? Who's paying the builders and what of management's pledge of no work before 10. Embassy suites, where I normally stay is under renovation and had the integrity to close rather than put guests through this. Collapse
