Very like a premier inn. Nice room no remote for the tv but only stayed one night so didn’t complain. Slow service on arrival but being 5.30 lots of business people arriving with only one person on reception who is also the barman ! Having said that booking in was smooth and helpful. Found the Breakfast disappointing compared to premier inn - the food was a mostly cold buffet being tended by an elderly miserable woman who didn’t reply when spoken too just pointed ! The tables were slow to be cleared. Lots of staff on reception loitering in the morning shame they don’t have as many staff in rush hour !! I would stay here again as it was convenient for my business meeting. Collapse

This is a modern hotel and is clean and comfortable if a little sterile in atmosphere. Located right next to the football stadium in south Oxford and adjoining an entertainment complex with bowling, cinema and a couple of restaurants. Our over-riding memory is unfortunately of the chaotic Sunday breakfast. I have noticed that several reviewers have also previously identified a problem with lack of cutlery and yet still this remains unresolved. The breakfast is OK, about what you would expect for a self service ''complimentary'' breakfast, just frustrating that simple things are allowed to persist. Wake up Hampton Inn! The furniture arrangement in the room is awkward to say the least: very difficult to squeeze round the chair at the narrow desk to get to the other side of the bed. As previously noted by another guest, there is no loo brush provided. As the bathroom is accessed via a sliding door (also serves as the wardrobe door), there are no hooks on the back for hanging towels or clothes - otherwise the bathroom as one hook for hanging a towel on (hand tail rail by the basin). Not much hanging space, OK if you are staying for an overnighter. Supposedly a budget hotel but the mid-week rates spike on a Saturday; is that just because it's Oxford? We had a 2nd floor room that overlooked the recycling area at the back of the entertainment complex. Suggest you ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. At least the WIFI worked and on multiple devices if a little slow. The beds are comfortable. Collapse

Stayed at the hotel Friday & Saturday night. It seems like a fairly new hotel, based about 15 minutes from oxford. Hampton is the budget part of Hilton & I paid just £84 for Saturday. I added Friday on & that was cheaper at £74. Checked in online so we were quick at the desk. Rooms are on the ground floor & over another 2 floors. There’s a lift and they have a choice of Queen room or Queen with a sofa for £10 extra a night. Disabled rooms available. Because of location it attracts business visitors, it’s next to Oxford football stadium so could get very busy on match days. Parking was free. Our room was quite spacious & very clean. Bathroom had a walk in shower & again nice & clean. Only complaint was the heating, despite being on 24 it was a bit chilly due to air conditioning. Breakfast is included at the Hampton hotels. A buffet with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and potatoes. No tomotoes or mushrooms. Rolls, pastries, fruit, cheese & cold meat. Bacon on both days was too hard & had been in the container too long so I didn’t have any. They did bring out fresh bacon on the the Saturday. Despite the bacon & no mushrooms/tomatoes it was a nice breakfast & there was plenty of it. We ate in the hotel one evening which is a very basic menu but the price reflects this-£10 for curry rice & a Poppadom. Curry sauce was like it came from a jar but it was still nice. £4 a pint of lager. You order at the bar & they bring the food to you. The member of staff serving was a friendly, polite lady. This hotel is next to the football stadium & there’s a cinema, bowling complex. Restaurants were Frankie & Benny’s & an Indian buffet plus a chip shop. The area seems busy with families & teenagers out for the evening to bowl or watch a film. The Hampton is just around the corner & when we visited it wasn’t too full. Not much choice of food outlets near, you need to go into Oxford for that. On the second night we ate in F & B , the service there was great & food was actually nice. Compared to the price of other hotels I looked at, this hotel was a good price for Oxford. Although a drive away there’s always the option of a taxi. We enjoyed our stay. Went into Oxford on the Sunday. Used the park & ride, very convenient. Collapse

Hotel is located in suburban Oxford. We stayed here one night prior to our flight back to the U.S. from Heathrow the next morning. Hotel seems to be fairly new. Everything is very clean and well maintained. No King size beds are offered so we booked two twins. Rooms are a little small by U.S. standards, but certainly adequate. Bar service is available as is a limited food menu. There is a leisure facility in the same area with a number of food options. We ate dinner at Frankie and Benny's. Free parking. Very nice breakfast buffet in the morning is included. We did have a difficult time finding the place. There is no street address, only Grenoble Road so our GPS couldn't find it. I did remember that it was near the football stadium so once we saw signs for that we followed them and just kept looking until we saw the hotel. Collapse
