Stayed at the Hampton By Hilton in Newcastle for a 4 day break from Friday to Tuesday. Was so looking forward to our break. We are Hilton members. Have been at loads of Hilton's all over the country for the last 14 years. We have never encountered any major issues that,is until we stayed here. The hotel is one of the noisiest in the evening we have ever encountered. This is mainly a hotel at the weekends where hen and stag parties stay. To my shock horror there was a party of 28 hens checking in. And other hen party's to. I said the the checkin clerk and the lady. Rhonda the bar. I hope I'm not. Ext door to any of these parties. I was told I was on the forth floor. Anyway to cut a long story short. We were awoke at 2:30am on two consecutive days and left awake until approx 4am. On the first occasion complained. I received an apology, but no offer to move us to another room. On the second occasion when it happened again. I called down to reception and told them I had had enough. I never received an apology this time. I had to r mail management for this. I then contacted Hilton hhonors customer service, who advised they would reach out to the hotel on my behalf. I received an email from the hotel requesting I ask for the duty manager on checkout, which I duly did. She offered me some points on my account. I said I was not happy with this. I advised two nights without any sleep had ruined our whole stay. I reminded her that the Hampton statement is , if you are not happy with your stay, we don't expect you to pay. She seemed totally uninterested, and like a broken record kept repeating but you only had two nights of disturbed sleep. I thought really that's your come back, and customer care. Well you try having two nights of broken sleep up all night with screaming banging doors right next door to you. It ruins you whole stay. We were sleep deprecated and totally disappointed with the events. I tried to e plain this to the duty manager. I advised her I was. It happy with my stay so she should not expect me to pay. They had every opportunity to move us they never. They should have spoken to the group next door to us after the first night they never. Don't go to this hotel if you want a quiet break over the weekend. Unless of course you are a stag or hen. Oh and by the way the points I was promised are not showing on my account yet. Note to duty manager. Must try harder. Unhappy Gold Hilton Hhonors member who will never return yo this hotel. Collapse

Perfect hotel for a trip in newcastle. location is amazing, we went back to the hotel to change and go back out again with very little time being wasted. The staff were really very friendly, especially at the check in desk. Rooms are nice, not massive but more than enough space to get ready, lovely bed, good storage and nice sized bathroom with shower. Room had iron and ironing board as well as a hair drier, the only thing missing was a fridge (well we didn't find one). breakfast was amazing, always fully stocked, you could take it away or eat in the restaurant. would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good location and comfort Collapse

This hotel is only 50 yards from the train station so a big plus and near grainger street so easy access to the shops/bars and a 5 minute taxi ride to the quayside so all good..Hotel does not look great from the outside but once you take lift to 2nd floor reception it looks fine..Now one thing is that check in is at 3pm and they use this to their advantage because eveyone tried to check in a bit earlier was told their rooms were not ready so i went up in the lift and checked the floors out..not a cleaner or laundry trolley in sight..they say have a seat and a drink till room is ready,, good tactic because most people bought drinks and a pint of lager and a small wine was nearly £10 so big win for them..then at nearly 3pm it was carnage at reception as everyone tried to check in, big queue...room was fine, not bothered about the view, but bed as previous reviews stated had curly black hairs on the sheets even though they smelt fresh, so this is not hotels fault just means the wash isn't cleaning them off properly but cleaner should see this as a bad thing..i used wet toilet roll to pick the 16 hairs off the sheets..bathroom had good toiletries and a nice clean shower..all good..note, plenty stag and hen parties used this place but we were lucky as no noise on my 4th floor room..breafast is 6am-10.30am and checkout is 12pm..but we we down for brekkie at 7am and all food, beans. mushrooms, scrambled egg, baocon, sausage etc was totally freezing cold..in all a decent hotel but sort the cold food out and hairy beds..
