There is no way this hotel is 4 star, probably just scrape a 2!! It's old fashioned, run down, very noisy, hectic & over crowded. The pool area is far too small for the amount of guests crammed in, with limited sun beds & parasols, metal chairs & tables were being used for people to sunbathe. We actually didn't use the pool or area at all, spending our days at the surf mar along the road. The rooms were basic, with 2 single beds & a tiny camp bed, the bedspreads weren't clean & had cigarette burns on them, you have 1 flat pillow each. The beds are made daily & rooms cleaned, but not to a high standard. The hairdryer is stuck to the wall in the bathroom & if you use it for too long it burns your hand, it's something from the 70s, there was a very unhygienic orangey coloured shower curtain that was dirty. We went B & B, but the breakfast room was just a noisy, plate smashing & clanking experience. This hotel wasn't cheap, so expected a much higher standard. Forget the evening entertainment, I won't say anymore about it. Would I come here again........... never!!! Collapse
Good but bad

Stayed here with of 15 mixed adults and children. Check in was efficient and the receptionist was friendly. Rooms were great and just perfect for the length of time we stayed in them which wasn't much. Pool area was small but most of us adults managed to get beds even if it ment moving beds around. Not a fan of those who leave towels on beds!! The inclusive cards were a bit of a down point to our holiday and most of our groups were prone to losing their green and black cards. The bar staff were sometimes a bit ignorant and it was like a chore to give us the drinks that we paid for. One young blonde lady made me feel guilty and rolled her eyes whenever I asked for drinks and even asked me to go back and collect all my families black cards even though she knew I was getting drinks for them. Bit rude. Entertainment was terrible at night and was only suitable for golden oldies. On the plus side we as a family enjoyed moving from hotel to hotel and would most certainly recommend santa susanna and plaja d'or and perhaps planamar in malgrat de mar. We loved how summer sun in santa susanna had a beach bar that was easily accessed. Would not return to lloret de mar as the nightlife was a bit rowdy for young children and families. Collapse

Would like to give my honest opinion about this hotel. I was actually dreading coming and actually tried to change the holiday to another but too much hassle. I'm glad I never. Transfer: most disorganised transfer ever. Coach driver extremely unhelpful and didn't even help us to get our suitcases from coach. Could have taken as many as we wanted. Not hotels fault. Check in: smooth even at 1am in the morning and very pleasant. Rooms: yes very basic and a bit tired and stuck in 80's but very clean. Well done to cleaners. Restaurant: food was absolutely fine managed to always find something to eat. Not a great choice and if you were with small children I think it may have struggled..it does get very busy but we always tried to get in as soon as opened. Not surprising as being peak season. Bar: I think card system works fine stops lots of empty glasses everywhere. Bar staff very pleasant but did try and rush you out at 1230am to lock up. Entertainment: well all I can say don't expect Broadway shows it was very poor to be honest. We actually found it very funny it was that bad. Pool: hard to get sunbeds and not enough of them around pool. You couldn't gain access to pool area until 9am and there was always a què to get a sunbed. I suppose it stops people getting up at stupid o'clock to reserve beds. Clean around pool. Indoor pool/jacuzzi quite nice for a change. Overall I would say please come with an open mind. Some people are professional moaners. You want 5 star pay 5star prices...I would have no hesitation in returning back to this hotel. Hope this helps. Collapse
A Good Hotel, Not a 4*

My family and I went to this hotel in August during the summer holiday's. We booked this hotel last minute as it was within our budget, short flight and transfer times and was supposed to have lots for the kids to do. If you are travelling here, book a quick or private transfer as it took our bus 3 hours to finally drop us off! Arrival was fine, check-in was smooth and hassle free. We were all inclusive and were given two green cards for the kids and two black cards for my husband and I, this was for drinks and meals. This hotel is mainly for French and Spanish people. There was very few British people and no other Scots. It is also for younger groups. I would NOT advise this hotel if, 1) You don't want surrounded by large groups of young kids/teenagers and people wanting to party. 2) and if you sleep lightly, as the walls are paper thin and there is parties all night long. The food was good, a large selection, not a great choice for kids but this would tie in with the type of people generally staying in the hotel. Quite a lot of repetition with dishes, seemed fresh enough and the kitchen were always bringing out more. The one downside was that the restaurant was VERY busy, you would be better going down as soon as the restaurant opens. (FYI, you have to pay for large bottles of water and wine. They will only give you glasses of water and wine in glasses with your cards and only 1 drink per card.) Although we had the All Inclusive package, we still had to pay for snacks, ice-creams, bottles of water and wine during the day at the pool. They did offer snacks in the restaurant between certain hours, but we were not allowed to take food outside the restaurant. The hotel is VERY basic, the rooms have very little amenities. A tiny TV, very few plugs, air-conditioning is shockingly poor and the room is stifling hot during the peak hours of the sun. Although the rooms and hotel were basic and needing a good refurb, it was spotlessly clean, the cleaners and maids were exceptional. The hotel was always shining! We didn't see one bug/cockroach or anything! The bar staff constantly went round clearing glasses and cups and ashtrays round the pool and seating areas! The staff themselves were really helpful, nothing was ever an issue. Reception staff were a bit sharp but the bar and restaurant staff were always happy, smiling and ready to help! Fantastic with the kids too! The Wifi is not free!! You only get 1 x 1 hour free per device, then you have to pay. €5 per day or €20 for 7 days, not ideal when you have bored kids during the hottest hours of the day, and this proved to be quite stressful! We discovered a play park and solarium on the last day but it overlooked dozens of apartments. There was some entertainment for the kids during the day but face-painting and balloon making are not really my kids thing. They had pool games but these were played in the deep end of the pool. We as a family won't be staying here again but this isn't because of the hotel itself, it's just not what we would be looking for out of a hotel. It wasn't family orientated enough for us, didn't have a great choice of food, little entertainment and was very tired looking as we like very modern settings and amenities and the the kids were quite bored when they were not in the pool! I would definitely choose this hotel if I was a teenager going on my first holiday, had a very small budget, and wasn't bothered about where I was sleeping. Collapse
Would visit again

Was pleasantly surprised after reading reviews . Stayed for a week end of July. Staff very attentive. Room was very clean. After reading other reviews I wonder if they were staying at the same hotel. Yes food sometimes wasn't as hot as maybe could have been however was plentiful and variety was fantastic. What put me off was not the food but people's greed and waste of food. The chefs and waiting staff did an outstanding job. Thank you . Three pools available yes was busy at times however this was to be expected as its July not December. Entertainment wasn't great at night however as a family we entertained ourselves. People moan about the card rule for drinks and plastic cups. Personally I think it's a fantastic system no glass around pool or plastic cups ending up in the pool and being left to litter due to people's laziness. Would I stay here again . My answer would be yes. Collapse
