My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights .. we booked it last min just to get away for a couple days . We went all inclusive.. food was edible although it was so busy in the restaurant and noisy that you just ate as quick as you could to get out of there .. food wasn't always hot but they do supply a microwave if u need to give it a blast !! We were on the first floor room 117 .. walls are so thin you can hear everything .. conversations from next door and i mean every word as clear as day!! And anything else they were doing in their room. There was a plug socket in the bathroom and one in the bedroom where the tv was plugged in .. the beds were horrendous and squeaked everytime my husband or I moved. The room was clean ( although I did find the last visitors underwear left under the bed!!) Towels were changed everyday and beds were made . The hotel staff were friendly and helpful If you are looking for a quiet holiday don't go here as it's full of kids screaming and shouting till all hours of the morning or people who are so drunk in the afternoon that they are laying all over the steps outside the hotel Security was one man at night who seems to ignore the shouting and screaming at night There are 3 pools in the hotel but there was kids bomb diving and screaming abuse while parents seem to ignore and just kept drinking and staff didn't do anything either .. they was also people throwing food / cups from room balconies at people by the pool. We spent the days by the beach as it's only 5-10 min walk from the hotel . There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which is handy but can again be noisy at 5am in the Morning!! Calella itself is nice and would go again but not at this hotel ( my husband calls or Butlins without the entertainment) Collapse

First impressions on the hotel was lovely and didn't think I would have issues. Reception staff pleasant and the bar staff are pleasant also. House keepers are amazing and do an incredible job and don't get any recognition for what they do. The room we stayed in was basic VERY basic and have to say VERY clean however all the rooms ARE different and most of rooms are in poor condition!! We went all inclusive and wished we didn't now as for our own personal taste it was absolutely rubbish and very repetitive and a lot of other holiday makers had the same opinion on this. Again personal choice! Waiters are pretty rude down in the restaurant also (we had been moved from one table to another so they could set up for lunch service) Htop spa hotel is amazing for food though which you can book in to before 7pm for the next door and is an immaculate hotel which you can take advantage of all their facilities. We stayed in room 499 on the fourth floor. Every single night since last Sunday we had sleepless nights with drunken arguments, fighting, windows going through and the noise of music RIDICULIUSLY loud and people booting doors. Every single night the police was called and ambulance service was also called out due to casualties. I was threatened TWICE due to people being under the influence of alcohol, when we reported it literally nothing was done. It's absolutely NOT a family friendly hotel it's a violent joke of a place. I'd not stay there again with my 7 year old and disabled nan. It's very intimidating on a night time with large groups of drunks. Stay away from this hotel if you are planning a family holiday with children as it's literally not suitable for children. People even left early and booked in to another hotel. The photos online of this hotel are false and isn't what you see in the flesh. Honestly. I'm exhausted and more stressed now than before my holiday after this week there. Management of the hotel have no duty of care for guests. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you want to relax. Collapse

My son-in-law and family a total of 13 arrived at this hotel after a horrendous day travelling to be told they only had one room available for 13 people The youngest being 18 months they were eventually found three rooms of varying types quality this holiday has cost him a lot of money they've saved hard work hard and always been so far is one disaster after another hopefully tomorrow is another day and their rooms including the dirt ripped sheets and mould will become a distant memory Collapse

Just back from staying here a week and unfortunately found a lot of the other reviews to be true. The place is very noisy and unless you sleep like the dead you will be kept awake by the drunken arguments, roaring & shouting, people running around the corridor banging on the doors. There is a large selection of food but it's nearly the same thing every day. You can be lucky to find some that's actually cooked since most of it is half raw. If you do stay here I'd highly recommend eating elsewhere unless you want to spend most of the time being ill. The rooms are very small and the walls are paper thin so you can hear every word from the rooms beside you. The beds are not comfortable at all. Will not be staying here again. Collapse

The general complaints about the hotel are not as bad as they seem. It is correct the place is run down. It is old and the walls are thin. But the staff try there best. The maids try and clean as best they can. Main problem is security or lack of. For a family hotel it is unsafe. No one got any sleep. Constant fights. In the main reception, by the pools, in the bar. In the rooms. Arguing between balconies. The list goes on.. I wouldn't stay here again just for the fact it is unsafe. People trying to get in our rooms. Ambulances called because people getting glassed. An still being allowed to stay! The place was insane. Collapse
