I stayed here with my friend 11th to 18th july 2017. When we arrived we had to wait for check in which wasn't a problem as our cases were seen to by the concierge and we went for a drink at pool bar. . ROM Once checked in our casees were bought to our room .we were on.the 2nd floor 206. Was a lovely spacious room with walk in shower which i requested due to my disability There was a free fridge this was good and kept everything cold. Air con was ok.but a bit hit and miss and only works when.patio doors shut .All rooms have a free safe in which was handy.Rooms are cleaned as and when you wanted all you do is put the sign.out to indicate .We put ours out everyday and our room was cleaned to a high standard. FOOD AND DRINK Food was excellent a little repetitive but nothing to worry about. The salads were so fresh and so was the fruitMy only bug bear is that water tea and coffee are free at breakfast but you had to pay for this at dinner which seems daft.A good thing with the restaurant is if your on a trip and miss your evening meal.you can.swap it for lunch which we did one day.restaurant staff were very friendly too. I found the pool bar to be expensive but the actual bar was cheaper POOL The pool was loovley and easy to get in and out with the wider steps. The poolside was very clean and plenty of sunbeds whatever time of day . We went at 12pm for a bed and there were plenty available. The sun terrace was very nice too if you wanted complete quiet there is a vending machine up there if you want a drink and the views up there are lovely . ENTERTAINMENT YThe animation team were great and always on the go there were activities for all throughout the day water polo and aqua aerobics for the adults and we even had a foam party when we were there which was fun.entertainment at night was good too mini disco for kids with daisy which was a laugh watching and a show for adults which was ok all round it was good . LOCATION TH e location was very good near shops and the beach . About a ten minute walk if you don't have mobility problems. As i have i struggled to walk the distance took me a good half an hour to walk and ended up having to hire a wheelchair from the hotel. This was a shame as it limited what i could do . On this note of mobility needs the hotel have a contact to a mobility shop and you can hire equipment such as scooters wheelchairs walking frames ect.Salou is a beautiful place with so much to do and see i would highly recommend this hotel if your coming to salou but i wouldn't personally stay again due to the fact of the location .Had a lovely holiday thanks salaurus palace Collapse

We had an amazing two weeks at this hotel, was so good that we have booked again to go back for two weeks next year. It deserves its title as the best hotel in salou. Spotlessly clean and rooms are brilliant, plenty of space and we got fresh towels and bedding daily. We had a room facing Porto Ventura so got to see the firework display every night. Perfect location for supermarkets and the centre of salou. More choice of food than you can imagine. We went as a family with out two girls 6 and 9 and they had the best time, the animation team and reception staff really make this hotel, my girls especially loved Andrea and Paula and are hoping they will still be there when we return next year. If you are undecided about going here I would say don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed. Collapse

We booked here to stay for 2 weeks from the 27th of June and overall we thought it was ok. Check in was really quick and the lady who got us organised was really lovely and so friendly. We stayed in room 168 got all settled in the room until we realised that the balcony door lock wasn't working and overall the door looked rough as the glass was coming away from the door itself! We called reception and they said someone would come up to have a look. We waited about an hour on the man and didn't want to leave the room as we were on the first floor and thought just incase something happens (knowing our luck something would have)! When he finally had come along he had managed to sort it. The room itself was clean but the floors were so dirty my feet were black from walking around the room but its not exactly the end of the world. My partners bed also had metal springs coming out from his mattress so resulted in us trying to sleep in a single bed. Honestly though GOOD LUCK trying to sleep at night and having a long lie in the morning guests are sooo inconsiderate when walking down the halls screaming and laughing our neighbours were something else as well although I don't blame the hotel for that but the noise is unreal I could hear someone plug their charger into the wall its crazy. The food at the hotel is lovely I am really fussy when it comes to food abroad and I was never stuck once! All the staff at the hotel couldn't be nicer and the animation team are great really get everyone involved. We rented bikes a couple of times from the hotel and was surprisingly cheap about 6 euros for 2 hours which was great. The sunbed situation in the morning is hilarious we had so many laughs watching everyone que up from the pool doors to the main entrance doors then seeing them run and grabbing a whole row of sunloungers to put down for their families but you kind of need to do this as otherwise you wont get one until 3pm at least. In good location for Portaventura only a 15 minute walk away. If you feel like going out for a bite to eat for lunch or even dinner one night for a change try Jacks Place its only down the road and the Chicken Fajitas are out of this world so tasty! The adults only rooftop is such a nice touch it has amazing views and a little breeze so it's never too warm when sunbathing. Also has a really nice jacuzzi up there too. We used the downstairs Jacuzzi, Steam room and Sauna a couple of times it was nice to use as was always quiet sometimes dead down there and really got it to yourselves. The hotel itself is nice but I wouldn't rate it 4 stars as i've been elsewhere for 4 stars and it doesn't match up but probably is the nicest hotel out of all of them in Salou but I don't think i'd come back again. Staff - Exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the porter to the cleaning, reception and restaurant teams - absolutely great! Entertainment - my kids loved the clubs and we all enjoyed the evening entertainment. The staff worked hard to ensure we all had a great time. They were all approachable and smiley. Room - we had a generous sized room facing the street with great views of the theme parks. Clean and well decorated. Unfortunately the fridge was not really cold, a bit disappointing. Maintenance team happy to resolve any issues promptly. Location - great. Walking distance (uphill) to the Portaventura theme parks. Walking distance to the beach and local amenities. Food - loved the champagne breakfast and variety of food available. The made to order counter was my favourite both at breakfast and dinner, great selection. Options felt repetitive after about 4 days but the kids always had a good selection, Saturday night dinner menu is great. Staff were extremely patient with my kids and the mess they created. Please note you have to pay for drinks at dinner, still a reasonable price, your unfinished bottle of wine will be saved for you until the next night. Overall, fabulous holiday at a great hotel, there are sufficient entertainment on site without venturing out, so 14 days stay next time. Looking forward to going back soon. Collapse
