This hotel is on a hill just out of Palma city past the huge marinas. It has good views and is 25 minute walk or 7 euro taxi ride from the city centre. It has excellent leisure facilities, with a well equipped spa complex. It has a gym but this is under equipped for a hotel of this size. It has tennis courts - but the surfaces need some attention. The bar and restaurant were good but the main restaurant had a very limited menu over the xmas and new year break, so if you didn't like the few things on it - there was no choice but to go out. The breakfast had good variety - although it ought to have at 28 euros pp. The rooms are spacious with good sized tv's and room service do the bistro bar menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall if you want to get away and relax this is a good place to stay if you can get a deal. Collapse

I wrote a review around this time last year and we were delighted to see that once again we could stay at a price even chepaer than last year. Some £275 for 3 nights including breakfast and flights from Bristol. The hotel was quieter than last year perhaps due to a November visit whereas last year it was October. That did not mean that there was any less of an effort made by the staff who were faultless throughout . Nothing was too much trouble and I even had a wander around to see if I could find a fault .I could not . The grounds are spotless and the pools were even being cleaned on a daily basis although it was too cold outside to use them !! While you can eat in either the main restauarant or the Bistro then chose the Bistro wher you can pay as little as £10, or as much as £100. The choice is yours but wherever you eat the quality is just as good. The rooms are squeaky clean and well appointed with robes for the spar, slippers and all the toilet goodies you could wish for .Impressive stuff.!! The spar? very nice indeed with all the usual facilities , clean and well looked after. I suspect by now you will feel that we were very much impressed and so we were .Try staying in a london 5 star hotel for £275 (each) for 3 nights including breakfast. If you can find it do let us all know!! There is only one disadvantage , you will need to take the bus into town (1.50 euros) or 8 euros taxi as the hotel sits on to of a hill.Other than that, grab this hotel when on 'bargain break' offer and you will not be disappointed . This is one of our favourite hotels. We shall be back again for sure !! Collapse

We chose to stay here as part of a cruise and stay holiday with Thompson(Tui) First week on the Thompson Dream ,second week at the Valparaiso. We were very lucky to be upgraded to room with a city/harbour view and wow what a view (room309) third floor. Our room was very tastefully decorated in a contemporary style and very much in the upmarket category. We opted to go half board so ate in the hotel in the evenings and did enjoy the food if not the so-so service in the Bistro for a couple of nights .For some reason we did not quite understand many of our fellow guests took taxis out at about the same time as we went into the main restaurant but that meant we had the place along with a handful tables to ourselves .This made for very convivial evenings for me and my wife with superb food and attentive and friendly service from Emellio and Lidia so not surprisingly that was where we went after that and by the end of the week we were being greeted as old friends - lovely. The breakfasts live up to their reputation 1st class .The grounds are very generous and the pools enormous. The reception staff were always friendly and a pleasure to talk to and showed us how to use the bus app so could use the local EMT bus (46) outside the hotel like pros, once we obtained a map from tourist information. We like using local transport on holiday but a word of warning I had my wallet pickpocketed probably as we were all crushing to get on the bus at the main terminal in town - I was using the targeta touristica pre paid card for the first time and was not sure how to use it so was talking to the bus driver when they must have struck as when I sat down I could not find my wallet .Wise after the event read the Palma De Mallorca Airport guide on pickpockets for salutary advice. Very cross with myself for falling for that one- doh!!! This was nothing to do with the Hotel which is also very popular with German guests (who i find are quite discerning anyway and a seal of approval in itself so Cheers and Prost to a very very pleasant Hotel and team. We knew this was a 5 star hotel. But we were so pleasantly surprised. It is a 5 star in every respect. The Spa was amazing. We booked this hotel just in case the weather wasn't great. The weather was great but we could happily have stay here all day. Drinks and food are expensive but that understandable with the quality been so high. Negative points - mirrors real lack of them. My wife struggled to put her face on . Extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. So both negative points were a problem for my wife, but not a big deal for me . Oh almost forgot, good 50 to 60 minute walk to the centre. We were fine with this in the day as the walk is lovely. The bus can be taken near the hotel which is great in the day . But I didn't enjoy the trip at night as it goes through some questionable areas. Get a taxi at night about 7 € We are definitely going back. Oh almost forgot. At breakfast we saw people having Cava with breakfast. I thought that it was for honeymooners. No it's for everyone. Never enjoyed breakfast so much. Rob Cheadle Hulme Collapse

A nice hotel; I liked the outdoor swimming pools, especially the bottom one and the little garden leading to the pools. The indoor pool was also very nice. The breakfast was good and plentiful but you would expect that for the price you pay for it ( around €25 pp, if memory serves me well, rather overpriced in my opinion as this is not quite a sleek 5* hotel ). The hotel's location isn't ideal as it's high up on the hill and a taxi (or bus) ride into Palma de M. We knew this before we booked but because of its location, we had hoped for some amazing views of the Balearic Sea. Regrettably, the view was ruined by some high rise hotel complex, just below ours. The monstrosity of the yellow tower right in front of our hotel seriously ruined, what otherwise would have been lovely views. The service at breakfast was OK but the reception staff had a mixed attitude towards guests. Some of the reception staff could have tried a bit harder or be trained a bit better. I felt ignored a few times while they just chatted on the phone in Spanish without even glancing in my direction and acknowledging me. Our room was OK, spacious and comfortable with a bit of a view of the sea but also over a construction site next door. All in all, not quite 5* and a bit disappointed considering the rate we paid! Complete lack of any personal touch. Collapse
