The Grove, London's country estate, is more than a five star hotel. Set in 300 acres and only 18 miles from central London, the former home of the Earls of Clarendon is also a luxury 18 hole golf resort, a fabulous spa and unique venue for meetings, weddings and celebrations.
Hidden away in the heart of this Grade II Listed mansion near London, each bedroom is a fabulous blend of period style and original modern art and furniture. You could opt for the contemporary deluxe rooms in the West Wing where the hotel stretches through gardens towards Sequoia Spa. With 217 bedrooms you have the choice of spending the night in a superior bedroom, a deluxe bedroom or even one of 26 phenomenal Mansion bedrooms. All of the bedrooms are non-smoking.
There are three restaurants including the to-dine for Colette's. A Walled Garden with urban beach and extensive leisure facilities. Anouska's Kids' Club, graded outstanding by OFSTED, makes The Grove parent and child-friendly.
Lovingly restored to stunning effect, the property fuses contemporary design and original period architecture with exceptionally caring and professional service.

Attended the Grove for a Charity Golf Day and Ball. Being The Grove you would expect high standards and this visit did not disappoint. However I would say that for all the great surroundings, food and style. The one thing that made the visit so good was the quality of staff. Nothing was too much trouble and each and everyone of the team made a huge effort to ensure everyone visiting had a really enjoyable time. Recommendation - Check where your event is, as the car park is huge. however The Grove will provide a shuttle to your car if needed... Collapse

The staff were a bit scarce after our meal was served. however on the up side the property has stunning grounds and the lounges are really cosy! Collapse

We arrived at The Grove at the beginning of our most recent trip to the UK. What a refreshing entry into the British countryside! This estate, once a party destination for Queen Victoria and some of her contemporary high society, is classic on the outside and beautifully decorated with imagination and whimsy on the inside. The service is impeccable and friendly. Don't miss the tea/cocktail lounges on the main floor. One room leads to another, each designed in its own unique feel and style. This property, once home to the Earls of Clarendon, hosts major golf tournaments. We took a day trip via Uber to nearby St. Albans and to George Bernard Shaw's house at Shaw's corner - well worth the time. Note that later we stayed at the Leading Hotels group sister property, Runnymede on Thames. I would recommend any of the hotels in this group. Collapse

It is impossible not to give the corporate utopia of The Grove Hotel 5 stars. I would usually be far too poor to stay at such a hotel but luckily myself and my wife made the most of the midweek spa deal which was good value for money. As we arrived, we felt a bit embarrassed parking up our bird-poo splattered Toyota but we felt very much at ease when a dapper man with a hat took our bags. In Wales, this would be considered theft but I knew we would be safe at The Grove. We were treated like Welsh princesses at reception and given the splendid news that our room had been upgraded from a standard room facing our poo-Toyota in the car park to a deluxe room facing the golf course. A lovely member of staff had been emailing me about our visit and I had told her it was my wife's birthday. We were greeted in our room by a birthday cupcake which was great. Our room was beautiful and inspired me to take lots of smug pictures and post them on Facebook which isn’t normally something I would do. Our room was brimming with ESPA products which my mother assures me are very posh. We went down to the spa for our treatments and I had the best back massage of my life. There were unusual moments when the masseuse covered me with a towel, put her weight on me and heavy-breathed but in hindsight, it was great. The spa had no children in it which was AMAZING. The steam room was so fancy that we didn’t know how to operate it but I feel that is my fault rather than The Grove’s. We booked dinner at Colette’s which was rather fancy. The waiter carefully wrestled my H and M cardigan off me and casually asked if we wanted to start our meal with a glass of champagne. I managed to telepathically communicate with my eyebrows to my wife: “No, that will cost one million pounds’ and she understood, asking to see the wine list instead. Their cheapest white wine was £32 which made me cry inside a little bit but I consoled myself in the knowledge that it would be delicious. When the waiter asked if we wanted still or sparkling water, I knew it wouldn’t be coming from a tap. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere relaxed enough for me to lean across the table and thieve some cheesecake from my wife’s plate. When we arrived back at our room, there had been an evening room service which felt a little unnecessary but then I realised the maid had put ‘Magic FM’ on the television for us which made me laugh. There were also more ESPA products added to the bathroom. Hurrah. After a wonderful night’s sleep in a bed so large that I woke up thinking I was lost at sea, we enjoyed a buffet breakfast in the Glasshouse. The service was great and again, the food was of an excellent standard and it took all my strength not to load my bag up with a week’s supply of Actimels. We loved our stay at The Grove Hotel. It was expensive perfection. Collapse
