Stayed here with family and group of athletes as we were here for working holiday. Hotel was lovely and clean in all areas. Staff great and child friendly. Good facilities and nice big light airy rooms. My only small critism is the evening entertainment. It is very dated..man v woman, parrot show etc.. were all the same as the last time I was in the Costa del sol some 15 years ago. That said I think you will get the same in any hotel that caters for overseas guests. Would definitely come back and recommend to others Collapse

Only booked at last minute but as usual they were able to accommodate. Allocated a pool view room on 4th floor with plenty of space and good size bathroom. The staff were excellent, very attentive ,helpful and of course friendly especially there restaurant staff 5 stars .Hotel is ideally located just on their edge of the hustle and bustle of the town but within 5 mins walking to shopping area. I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended the hotel as we will be back for another visit soon. Collapse

We stayed here for 1 week The food is good with enough choices every day The staff are very helpful and polite But the entertainment is very holiday camp style relying heavily on audiences participants After the main show the entertainment was geared towards the Spanish guests which were favoured by some of the staff tho the host tried to remind some guests that the entertainment was international for all guests The British and germans were left out after the main show The kids club and activities were good but the girl in charge only spoke Spanish The bar service was very good This hotel is recommended if you avoid the entertainment Collapse

Stayed here for a short break (16th-29th March), and found it to be a great hotel. It's in a good location for shops, train station and around a 10-15 min walk to the beach (without stopping to look in shops!). We were allocated a romn on the 6th floor overlooking an urbanisation and the mountains. We thought it was a fab view and preferable to a pool view (each to their own). The room was clean and had a larger than average comfortable double bed which made a change from the usual twins, free wifi too which worked fine. The bathroom was nice and clean with a nice amenity pack which included a disposable razor. It was quite busyat the hotel with a lot of Spanish seniors on holiday. I can't quite understand the complaints about them as we found them all very friendly and smiling, They always held the lift for us, said hola everytime we passed them in the corridors, I would rather go back here and find it full of Spanish pensioners as opposed to some rude Brits we've met before, and they were certainly entertaining with their dancing in Pepe's bar every evening. I don't know where they got the energy from! The main restaurant has a great variety of food and something to suit every taste. Although it was very busy we never waited long for a table and the waiters were very helpful in finding somewhere to sit. There was a chef at breakfast and dinner cooking various things to order and I rarely saw an empty food tray, the staff all worked really hard at replenishing the food and clearing tables. The snack bar which is located just below the steps/ramp to the pool is accessed via an external door, although we didn't use the snack bar there seemed to be a nice choice of cakes and pastries on offer. There are four bars at the Griego that serve alcohol, the Piscina Bar which is next to the pool, Cafe Griego which is at the front of the hotel with a big screen TV and a smoking terrace, Bar Salon which has kids entertainment (with adults encouraged to join in, be warned. lol) till around 9pm then they have an act on (flamenco etc), then there's Pepe's bar, kid free, all inclusive till midnight and then a paying bar till 230am. We ventured in all the bars and Pepe's was definitely the favourite. Just to add the staff in the Salon Bar and Pepe's were really friendly and chatty, and also seemed to be looking out for Paul, a long stay regular client who was really lovely and friendly. Just a note; the pool bar (Piscina) serves drinks in plastic cups, the others all serve drinks in glasses. Also the cocktails are made up from scratch and not just from a machine as we've found in other hotels (very generous measures too). The pool; far too cold to use in March and not much sun. Head up to the 8th floor and sunbathe on the roof terrace. Sun loungers are provided up there and it's a nice little sun trap. In general this is a really good four star hotel and we will stay here again. Not far from the train station (underground in Nogalera Square) which is a really cheap and easy way to get around. Only 1.80€ each to get back to the airport, a lot cheaper than a taxi. Collapse
