Hotel location was very good ie Grand Hotel Majestic, very near to Powder gate, Palladium shopping mall and the Old Town. Loved the Christmas Market in the old town square, very pretty, paused to have a hot chocolate and cheesecake to keep us going - prices were quite reasonable considering we were in a capital city! Lovely trip to castle area, within reasonable walking distance though lost signage on the castle side of the Charles Bridge so ended up walking further than originally envisaged. Gorgeous goulash in bread basket in Castle cafe washed down by mulled red wine. Collapse

I stayed here in late March, when it's relatively less busy in Prague. Room rates are well-priced compared to other Western European cities. The room is a good size with in-room safe and even heated tiled floors in the bathroom. I also like the extra touches, such as a powercube with multiple power and USB outlets to charge multiple electronic devices. Location is fantastic. It's a ten minute walk to the Old Town Square and twenty to the Charles Bridge. The Palladium shopping mall is five minutes away with a supermarket inside it. The metro is in front of the mall. There was little need to take transit due to its great location. Train station is a 20 minute walk, but coming from the airport will require a bus and then transfer to the metro (about an hour). I would definitely consider staying here again! Collapse

Excellent location - just a few minutes walk from Metro station, and 10-15 minute walk from Old Town Square. Beautify modern reception area. Modern shopping mall with 200 stores/restaurants (Yes there are McD's, KFC, and BK) Breakfast was good. Good variety of food. (Food selection is European-based, not American, so they have beans and tomato sauce, salads, meats, and cheeses for breakfast.) Great variety of breads. The small evening restaurant served excellent food. I had chicken - very tender and moist. Server very attentive. The people behind the reception desk were wonderful. Very friendly and eager to ensure a good stay. They speak multiple languages. As an American, I am used to the large rooms at Marriott, Holiday Inn, etc. I understand why the rooms throughout Europe are smaller. I do not hold this against any hotel there. Besides, I spent very little time in room as there is so much to see and do in Prague. The room was functional and comfortable, but had no drawers, just a wardrobe. Beds were comfortable. I would like to see a better hotel folio/welcome packet/hotel explanation documents that gave information on how to use ac/heat, available services, etc. Maybe the hotel could make deals with local restaurants and travel companies to advertise their services. Many people I spoke with had to search the internet for places to eat and tours to take. My biggest complaint initially was the elevators. The doors sometimes started to close after one person would enter the elevator. Learned to enter lift and press the <> door button for my parents to enter. The last night at hotel I found my carry-on bag un-zipped and open. I had left it zipped and had my PJ's on top. When I returned my PJ's were on the bed, and the flap of carry-on pulled back. Nothing missing. Recommend take locks with you. Maid did\''t take away dirty glasses every day. Still, I would recommend hotel. Collapse

A great hotel with exceptionally nice staff, everyone extremely attentive and polite (specially Martin and Ivan were very helpful). Great spa as well. The location is unbeatable -in the heart of Prague (6 min. until Astronomikal clock and Old Square, 15min. until Charles Bridge, 5min. until Republiky Square, 10min. until Mala Strana etc) Breakfast offers a wide menu and the service was exactly what you expect from. The hotel feels new and modern throughout with a great mix of elegance and charm. Thank you to all the amazing staff at this Hotel. It will be my new address for future Prague trips. I have received a nice upgrade! In the end, I would like just to do a little recommendation to the Manager, paying more attention to the cleaning service. Nothing more! Everything was just PERFECT! Recommended! xx Michela from 437 Collapse

I have only been here once, but my family have never used another hotel in Prague after we discovered Grand Majestic Plaza (think we've been here 4-6 times in total) Went for a weekend trip in November 2015. The Hotel is nice and clean, with large rooms. We had a triple room with enough storage space for three girls who love to go shopping. Not the best choices on TV, but that's not important for me. Good and free wifi. Clean and large bathroom. Nice breakfast with a lot of choices and friendly staff. Ordered a taxi via the hotel when we were going back to the airport. The hotel is located in a tiny, quiet street, close to everything. The large shopping centre Palladium are just around the corner, and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the center and Staré Město. I don't think we're never gonna choose another hotel in Prague. We have been very satisfied every time. Collapse
