Hotel location was very good ie Grand Hotel Majestic, very near to Powder gate, Palladium shopping mall and the Old Town. Loved the Christmas Market in the old town square, very pretty, paused to have a hot chocolate and cheesecake to keep us going - prices were quite reasonable considering we were in a capital city! Lovely trip to castle area, within reasonable walking distance though lost signage on the castle side of the Charles Bridge so ended up walking further than originally envisaged. Gorgeous goulash in bread basket in Castle cafe washed down by mulled red wine. Collapse

This is truly an elegant, full-service hotel. It's not as boutique-y as some others we stayed in, and it's on the larger side. But the rooms are nice, spacious, comfortable. Air conditioning works well. Breakfast could get a little crowded, but on the upside there was live piano to accompany your morning meal! Decent lobby with places to sit, helpful staff with maps and suggestions. Location was easy walking distance to the Old Town Hall and all different kinds of shopping. You can meander past the astronomical clock and through winding lanes to the Charles Bridge and the palace in maybe 15 minutes. Collapse

The hotel ticks off all the right boxes. Located near the city center, close to the river and not far from the main railway station. Easy to reach and infact walk from Old city, Wenceslas square and the Vltava river. Appropriate ambience, clean and easy to negotiate. Fully equipped rooms with kettle/wifi/usual amenities. Very cooperative staff. In our family vacation we had two rooms: 440 and 401. 440 had a view to the back, 401 was in the front but the height of the window and angle did not allow a great view. But who wants to sit in a hotel in Prague ! Strongly recommended. Collapse

Stayed here for 3 days while in Prague- the best thing about the hotel is the WIFI- very fast and the buffet breakfast has a very good selection. The actual hotel decor itself its aged- the photos must have been from a while back- back in its heyday I imagine it to have been very stylish - there's nothing wrong with it- it has just seen better days but it is clean and well maintained - the room itself I would say the same, aged but clean- nothing amazing to note but I like that they had USB charging ports in the room so I could use my adapter to charge other things. The hotel is a good location about 20 mins to airport in shuttle and walking distance to all the sights- there was also a good market a couple of mins walk which I think is in every day. The staff were very friendly- when I was leaving for the airport the reception staff member even called the taxi driver to come back to refund me money as they realise I laid twice for the airport transfer- I was impressed by that. One thing I would say is don't get washing done at the hotel- its very expensive, I did see some laundry mats around town. Overall good hotel - would stay here again. Collapse

We had booked this hotel via expedia, i was pleased with the hotel and the location- rooms were clean and spacious we had to request an iron from reception but it was with us immediately. Bathrooms are clean with body wash and lotion dispensers. Breakfast has a huge selection of cereals, breads, fruits, cheeses, patisseries, teas and hot food. At breakfast there is a live pianist. The only downfall was the confusion with the transfer service, our transfer was an hour late but the reception staff (particularly Slava) was very helpful in recognising and rectifying this problem. There are also facilities to use the computers to check in and print boarding passes. The hotel is located next to a huge shopping mall, lots of restaurants and about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town. Charles Bridge is about another 10 minute walk from Old town. Overall this hotel was a comfortable stay in a good location. Collapse
