Hotel location was very good ie Grand Hotel Majestic, very near to Powder gate, Palladium shopping mall and the Old Town. Loved the Christmas Market in the old town square, very pretty, paused to have a hot chocolate and cheesecake to keep us going - prices were quite reasonable considering we were in a capital city! Lovely trip to castle area, within reasonable walking distance though lost signage on the castle side of the Charles Bridge so ended up walking further than originally envisaged. Gorgeous goulash in bread basket in Castle cafe washed down by mulled red wine. Collapse

We have just returned from four nights in this hotel and found it excellent in every way. It is situated in a quiet side road but only a few minutes from Republic Square with its shops, cafes, restaurants and access to trams and other public transport. The rooms in the hotel were very spacious with king size beds and spotlessly clean with free safe and tea and coffee making facilities. Finally the breakfast - what an amazing choice of fresh hot and cold food - fruit, bread ,cheese, meat, omelettes. waffles, pancakes. porridge. bacon, sausage and much more - set us up really well for the day! I would highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Prague. Collapse

We are on our final night of our honeymoon and we don't want to leave. We had a small issue with our room on the first day but it was dealt with efficiently and promptly, therefore I don't think it would be worth including in the review! Our room is beautiful with views looking over prague. The breakfast is great and served until 11am if you like to sleep in like us! The staff are friendly and the bar is great. It's a good location to everywhere and the in house taxi service is great and affordable. This hotel is beautiful and if you get chance, you must get a massage. The massage is the best we've ever had! Collapse

First of all, the location is one of its best qualities. You are minutes away from shopping and tourist attractions. Once we got our bearings, it took us 5 minutes to walk to the Astronomical Clock. The staff were usually friendly. The bed in the room was huge and the bathroom had underfloor heating. However we didn't use it at all as we found the room got really warm, even with negative numbers outside! We had the window open a lot. The bed was huge, but a little uncomfortable - this might be personal preference. The breakfast is lovely - there is a huge range of food, including cereals, pancakes, toast, pastries, cooked items and hams and cheeses. The best parts were the fresh fruit and the waffles. They don't really explain to you but there is a side room off the restaurant where a lovely member of staff will make you omelettes and waffles. (Try and go when someone has just grabbed a waffle to make sure you get it hot!). We came down at about 9am each morning. A queue seemed to build at about half past! We came down earlier the last day and it was very quiet. They give you a welcome drink for breakfast, which was delicious. If you are there about 9, you may get to hear the piano being played, which was beautiful. The front of house at this time (the one with the great beard) is a definite asset to the team! Nearby there is a Lidl, which is quite cheap and a penny market, which is even cheaper. Overall, a very enjoyable stay - clean and lovely with some outstanding qualities. Collapse

Although check in wasn’t until 14:00 we arrived at the hotel at 10:30 and were told that our room was already available which offered a great start to the trip. Front desk told us that if there was anything we needed from transport to day drips they were more than happy to assist. I was here with my partner who had taken me away for my birthday and on my actual birthday we had a knock at the door with a celebratory bottle of prosecco which was a really fantastic touch. We opted to take public transport from the airport to the hotel this was no more than a 5 minute walk from the metro stop to the hotel which was in a central but quiet location near the palladium shopping centre. If you come out of the hotel and turned left you are a 3 minute walk from several large international shopping centres and hundreds of restaurants cafes and bars. If you turn right out the hotel and walk for 4 minute you are at the tram stop from which you can reach amazing attractions such as the castle and the zoo. The room which we were given was on the first floor and had a super-king sized bed ample wardrobe space and a decent sized bathroom. There was a fridge with minibar which we chose not to use but which was well stocked but still room for you to put your own items in. The hotel bar offered happy hour between 12 and 5 every day offering delicious drinks. For us the best part of the hotel was the restaurant area for the breakfast which was included in our room price. This offered a variety of continental and cooked breakfast including bacon sausage beans potatoes tomato’s and egg. Additionally there was a good selection of cereals, fruit juices and bread. As well as the food already out there was a chef out making made to order omelettes which fillings of your choice and making fresh Belgium waffles. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a fantastic hotel to stay in with and we will returning in the future. Collapse
