Grand Hotel Angiolieri is a luxury hotel in Seiano on the Sorrento Coast, Italy. The hotel holds a high standard, with nice rooms, good restaurants and a bar. Furthermore, there is an outdoor swimming pool (closed during winter). The general view to the sea and Vesuv is wonderful. The breakfast is perfectly ok and the view from the terrace is excellent. The staff is very nice and helpful, and they master English language good. There is no training room, and if you want to play tennis, you will have to go down to the harbor area and pay a rent (the hotel helps with booking and transport). The main downside is that this hotel is a bit outside Vico Equense and it is in general not easy to walk around. To compensate this the hotel offers shuttle service. We went to a day trip to the Amalfi Coast, and must also say that this is a particularly spectacular area. Positano is fantastic and probably our next holiday destination in this area. Collapse
it won't survive for many more years, sorry

Not five star. Looks nice in photos but it's location is awful - in a totally unattractive neighbourhood maybe ten miles outside Sorrento. Has only a dark pokey sitting room area in the basement. Its main restaurant is hugely expensive and the staff did not tell us or other guests that there is a pizzeria on the hidden cliff-side of the hotel (which we found after four days). Definitely don't attempt to use a hire car there, but rely on trains and buses. Collapse
Really rather good.

A very attractive hotel , in a beautiful headland setting overlooking the bay of Naples , towards Mt Vesuvius. We stayed in October for a week. Standard room overlooking the garden. Quiet and pleasant. The room was of a good size , albeit smaller than other 5* hotels we have stayed at. Small tv with a limited range of English channels. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Free shuttle bus to Vico Equense and the marina. Breakfast a highlight. Really friendly and accommodating breakfast service manager and team. Extremely good quality food selection. We didn't eat at the restaurant because it was a bit pricey for us ...£60 - £80 per head plus drinks. Those we spoke to that did said it was v good. They have a pizza restraunt which looked excellent and appeared very popular with locals..a good sign. Train station approx 500 m distant and you can buy tickets at the hotel.Ideal for visiting Pompey , and Herculaneum..an absolute must ..both. Different from each other. Train tickets very cheap , but be warned , travelling to Pompey may be a bit of a scrum on board train. Amalfi coast trip best organised from the tourist office at the railway station in Sorrento. We paid 32 Euros each for a guided minibus tour ( 7 hours with stood at Amalfi ( stunning) and Positano ( a bit commercialised for us ). You can do a private taxi tour for around 250 euros in total They also organised a 50 minute boat trip at Amalfi , which we really enjoyed. Capri worth visiting, suggest you walk back down to the marina from Capri Town. Very ritzi , but just shops at the end of the day. Would heartily recommend the walk to Tiberius's villa. As emperor , he could have picked anywhere on the island to live , but chose this spot , with good reason. Steepish ascent however. We are early 50's and fit. In mid summer it will be a bit of a sweat. Cuerri Viaggi bus from airport was fine , 12 euros each, and if you ask the driver he will drop you off near the hotel. Took a taxi back , organised by hotel , 100 euros , worth it to take the stress out of an early flight transfer away and allowed us to enjoy a final breakfast. Definitely recommend this hotel. My wife and i booked a three day break at the Grand Hotel Angiolleri. Our checkin was for 14:00 however, our flight was on time, the shuttle bus we booked got us to the hotel at 11:30am. The hotel staff welcomed us to the hotel. Ammando and his team we so lovely from the first minute we met them. We sat in the bar with a glass of local wine recommended by the barman while our room was made up which was ready for us by 13:00 so only a short wait. The room was very well presented, very clean and just right for us. this hotel is a boutique hotel which suited us just right. We had diner and drinks at the bar terrace overlooking the bay, with the sun setting we got to see fireworks across the bay. Breakfast on the terrace each morning as the sun rose, with a view over the whole bay, just amazing. All the staff, especially in the bar, were excellent, very friendly, welcoming and courteous. We walked down to the marina for a few drinks and the view looking back up to the hotel we just amazing. We we got back you our room we had a bottle of Prosecco on ice waiting for us compliments of the management team as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! Armando, please thank your team for a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Angiolleri. You Armando are a true gentlemen, thank you so much for making our stay so lovely. Collapse

The rooms at this place are amazing with the view present in 360 directions of the hotel. There isn't any place where the view is blocked by anything at this hotel. The services are amazing and especially all the staff at the hotel are extremely good at directing u to the good nearby places. Every time we asked the host of the morning breakfast any good food places in Naples, Sorrento and Amalfi area to eat he was extremely good recommending the food places that served the best local food. The pizzeria that is part of the hotel also had one of the best selection of wines and pizza. The pool and outside area of the hotel are good and clean. Would definitely go again to this hotel.
