We enjoyed our four night stay. The staff were delightful without exception. The hotel was very nice; very clean etc., but had more of a business-feel and a little lacking in atmosphere; with no hospitality around the pool and no central terrace or lounge area. The odd statue by the pool adds nothing to the ambience and spoils the very lovely view. An easy 5 min walk to/from the station however, so very easy to visit Sorrento/Pompei etc. Breakfasts were great too. Would recommend to couples but not for a family holiday. Collapse

Perhaps being from the States we expect more hospitality with a so called "5 star." Zeros smiles...little to no kindness...boarding on rudeness. Checking in later in the afternoon after traveling all day...all you want is to be welcomed with a nice smile, help with luggage and some basic knowledge of the property. All of those things is a start for a five star property. We received none. I have never been to a "5 star" hotel and not had my bags taken out of my hands upon entrance. Shame on the training this hotel obviously doesn't do. Our party had grabbed a slice of pizza on the way from the train station and when we arrived had the left over pizza box (no pizza left...it was amazing by the way...more on that later). I went to ask nicely if the front desk agent (male) would discard the box for me and he says "normally we don't do that"...can you believe that???? I am sure the look on my face was a blend of shock and rage. I kindly asked that he take this box from my hands and throw it out...this time with a bit more of a statement...after that he grabbed out of my hands and walked away. I have never been so angry at a welcome desk. Let's just say the stay was consistent with a poor level of hospitality, greetings, helpfulness etc. in my opinion...zero stars should be awarded for hospitality. Anyways let's list the pro's and con's. Pro's: View...only saving grace...views were the highlight Bath care products...not 5 star but decent. Proximity to train station...was a short walk. They do sell tickets at the front desk...but you have to deal with Cruella DeVille and Egor. Bar: 4 out of 10 stars for service...I put this in Pros because it literally was the best service and it would have thrown up a 1 star Yelp review in the States. On site Restaurant: one thing about this restaurant is that I can appreciate it. The restaurant seems like the chef is really trying to create something unique...the veggie starter, caprese salad and the wine was on point. The "lobster" pasta was a miss for me. Too fishy with a pasta that was borderline raw...I get it... al dente (which means to the tooth...not break your tooth). Service was good..a little emotionless, the essays were better then the captain, but overall okay. Note: the price point was a bit high...we had a party of four with normal courses and it was almost 300 Euros. I am totally cool with paying for quality and creativity...but have both. Side note: turn down the freaking lights...imagine an incredible view, white everything but in a inquisition chamber of a jail (light was so bright, no one look good lol) maybe mood lighting is a US thing. Con's: By far the worst beds in Italy!!! GM if you read this...please for the sake of baby Jesus get new beds. Spending $400.00 a night on hard beds with no sense of comfort is not only unacceptable but a down right crime! Think of a plywood, cheese cloth sheets and a pillow that belongs on the side of the road because it has been run over a hundred times. Invest in duvee covers, a higher count cotton and beds that belong in a proper 5 star. We stayed two nights...thank gosh...if I had to sleep another night I would have needed a massage to get the knots out. Hospitality: GM...google Chick-filet and youtube their ability to deliver proper verbal service. I am a bit embarrassed of having to reference a fast food chain with a "5 star" hotel. It's a start for this hotel. After that, have the staff youtube Four Season Beijing and see how to properly deliver the 5 star service. Eggs: I am a gentleman that looks at a hotels breakfast when booking. It's the start of the day...why shouldn't it be "amazing." My standards aren't unobtainable, does require some thought however. Please offer eggs cooked any style...they have an amazing kitchen on property. Throw a kitchen guy with some non-stick pans and cook up some eggs...it will elevate the quality and will give something that reminds me what is being served is fresh. The entire breakfast buffet could have been set up the night before. Give the options that extend a hand of "we are here to take care of you." Shuttle service: funny thing about this. At check out I was told there was a complimentary shuttle bus to the train station. AT CHECKOUT!!!! Heads up...that would have been great to know upon arrival. Throw in that info with a smile and you got a "cool" nod from this guy. Overall the location is good...actually that's all it has going for it. Would I stay here again...haha I will let you figure that out. Ciao Collapse

Staff was very kind and friendly. Everything was clean, clean, clean. (Very improtant for us). The hotel is walking distance to a train station. The train is only two euro each way when we went to Sorrento and Pompeii. This is much cheaper than driving and the cost of parking. Our room was large and clean with an incredible view from a large balcony. The one draw back to our room was that there is not a stand up shower. We used a hand sprayer in the tub. Room service and maid service could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We had a car and the location was perfect for drives to the Amalfi coast. Collapse

Honestly a SLH rated hotel you must be kidding me. I’ve got a horrible room with only one small round window, no sunlight feels like staying in a prison! Bed were like plank very hard giving you body ache. Front desk staff were not helpful and rude, when we were checking out the train service was on strike they are not resourceful at all by providing us shuttle service or getting us a taxi to Sorrento to catch our ferry to Capri. The only thing I like about this hotel was the breakfast view and clean room. Collapse

What a wonderful place to stay.Being our wedding anniversary we wanted somewhere special and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. The staff were very attentive .Other establishments could learn from the professional manners that their staff show. Our deluxe room was beautiful was spotlessly clean and the balcony overlooking the bay of Naples was worth every penny. The only slight thing I would say we only had a mirror in the bathroom one in the bedroom might be more helpful to guests but it did not spoil our stay. We had a few drinks in the A Bar and a meal in the evening which we enjoyed with it being relaxed and informal . Breakfast was an experience and again the staff welcomed us. Was self service with tea and coffee brought to our table. We even had bucks fizz or prosecco which was a treat. Its a quiet area but we liked that to get away from the crowds of Sorrento. We used the train to get into Sorrento and Pompeii to travel about.and is very inexpensive and we got our tickets from the hotel.. On our last day our luggage was looked after so we could enjoy the rest of the day. Thank you for such a memorable stay. Collapse
