The Gran Oasis Resort, located on Golf Las Américas, opposite the fourth green, and with marvellous views of the course, is reminiscent of a small colonial style village, with buildings of one or two floors, surrounded by marvellous pathways and gardens, with a superb collection of tropical palm trees. The resort has all the services you would expect from a first class hotel: restaurant, swimming pool, bar, games room, children's club, putting green, supermarket and the internet in comfortable and spacious facilities.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, would recommend for families or couples, we had emailed beforehand and got a room near the pool. Really had a great time, food was fine, entertainment was good, low key and stopped by 11, but then just down the road was plenty of nightlife on the strip if that is what you were looking for. There are no words I can say to put across how MUCH I love this hotel! After waiting a while for a family holiday and the last one we had (In Turkey) was world-class I has high expectations for this one and it didn't disappoint. After an early morning flight which was delayed , to landing into grey clouds and everyone being tired and grumpy I wasn't in the best of moods when I arrived. This all dissipated when I walked through the doors into a stunning reception area and a warm welcome from the reception team. They took our bags and took us straight into the restaurant so we could have dinner before we went to our rooms. This was greatly appreciated. We booked 2 rooms as a family of 5 and emailed ahead to see if we could have them close together. This was actioned as requested (Thank you Lydia!) The rooms are set on 2 levels. You walk into the second level and go downstairs to the main bedroom and the bathroom is downstairs also. The rooms are impeccable. Really clean and spacious. My only critique is the bathroom is dated and the tiles were broken but it didn't stop the shower being Amazing!! 2 balcony areas too! They have a different meal plan each night e.g. Italian, oriental, Mexican etc. Having a family of fussy eaters we always found something to eat. The food could have been a bit warmed but that's what you get AI buffet style. Our least favourite night was Canarian night as was very fishy so on our 2nd week we went to the friends bar in the centre( again Amazing!) Evening entertainment was great, the white party is epic and had the hotel up dancing on their feet. I have to give special mention to the staff. Especially Luis from the restaurant with his high fives, Kiko who became my little girls favourite as he was always on hand when she couldn't reach a cup, Jose and his quick wit from the Bars, Alfredo who always seems to be at the reception when I go regardless of what time and deals with requests efficiently and with a smile. Stefi and Renate the entertainers, We are going home saying "applause applauso" and "kids, do you want to play a game!" In only the way these two ladies can Haha! In general the staff work tirelessly with a smile and really live by their motto "Be Happy" Would I return? In a heartbeat ❤ Collapse

We booked this hotel after reading such amazing trip advisor reviews and the rating it had. We booked 11 nights away in this amazing hotel and we are so glad we did. Location - we didn't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the main resort and to be fair we don't mind a good little walk on holiday so we thought the location was perfect. Siam Mall/Siam Park 20 minute walk, Los Cristianos 25 minutes, Playa de Las Americas 25-30 minute walk. Taxis are around €5-7 dependant on whether they smack the additional supplement on. Also a 10 minute taxi ride to Costa Adeje if you wanted a day out to a different beach/scenery. A top tip, we used Trip Advisor a lot for the odd meal out and found a number 1 restaurant in Los Cristianos called "El Rincon De Pancho". It's ok walking distance and the tapas is absolutely to die for. Full of local people so that says it all to me. La Barca is also an amazing fish restaurant on the beachfront in Playas. We had a few beach days outs in the different areas and even made the most out of the nightlife at times so location was perfect. Check in/Check out & Reception - faultless! We arrived at around 20:30 and they'd checked us in quickly so we could dash off to use the Dinner facilities before they shut. We'd got engaged and my partner had surprised me and emailed them to let them know. When we checked in we had room 76 which was an upgraded room with the largest terrace in the resort with a belinese bed overlooking the golf course. Reception made a big deal of this and made us feel extra special. We booked our Siam park tickets through these guys, asked them about up and coming places to go and things to do, they provided maps, they booked out return taxi to the airport. Faultless and always so happy to help. Bedroom - these apartments are amazing. Whether we had the belinese bed or not, the terraces are spacious and it's a bonus to have a balcony upstairs too! Spacious two storey apartments with air con upstairs and down with a spacious kitchen area if you were to go self catering or bed & breakfast. Fridge, air con and fans don't incur extra charges (as I know they are in some places). Didn't use the safe so don't know if this was extra or included. Cleaners in every day (although I don't think our sheets were changed once as the same stain on the sheets was there from check in for the whole 11 nights). They just make the bed and/or change your bedding around so it looks fresh. May need looking into. All inclusive food - only used the pool bar one day to try it out but the standard sandwiches and burgers, hot dogs, chips, etc. Ok for pool food. We liked to make the most out of the restaurant food as we like having a little bit of a break from the sun during the day. Breakfast was the same standard every day - fresh eggs, pancakes, churros, cold meats and cheeses, fruit (whole and prepared), hot food and pretty much your standard full English. Lunch - quite similar daily with an extra twist at times, but I used to make the most out of the salad and fresh fish as much as I could. Dinner was my favourite out of any all inclusive I've been to - changed it up every night with themed evenings. I think Mediterranean and Canadian/Spanish. At the end of the day we are in Spain so we need to make the most of their culture. Seafood, Mojo sauces, fresh chicken kebab that you made yourself with pitta or wraps, etc. Obviously if you are a plain eater there is always salads, chips, pizza, rice, veg, etc. but I like to stay away from all of that on holiday. Drinks - good array of drinks, I ended up on the Vodka strawberry slush all holiday as they were nice and cold to drink. Beer was good quality, Dorada, Sangria was tasty and very strong. The all inclusive drinks list was lengthy. My partner and our friends also got on the Whiskey creams which are another way of saying Baileys. Cocktails aren't great and would expect them to be freshly made or at least taste of alcohol and not just juice but the drinks list is long enough for alternatives. Pool area - choice of 3 pools (baby, smaller and bigger pool). Bigger pool was the main area us 4 stayed as it was near the supermarket for water, shade for the smokers area and the pool bar for drinks. Although I would suggest going down and getting a good sunned as if you're unlucky enough to get a large palm tree above you you'll be in the shade for most of the day in different places. You'll also be forever retrieving ping pong balls from under your sun lounger from the kids on the tables near the arcade. We went end of June beginning of July so didn't expect too many kids but when turning up on our first day by the pool we realised that actually it was a more family orientated hotel than we thought. The big pool was full of kids so very hard to swim and was quite loud most of the day. Would recommend trying to get a sunbed at the right hand side of the pool bar as it's much quieter away from the arcade and less kids if you are wanting a quiet peaceful book read or snooze in the sun. Overall we loved this hotel and as much as there is a little gripe in here about the noise near the pool, the cocktails and the bedding change, this hotel is worth its five star rating and well worth the money. We more than made the most out of the hotel for eleven nights and would definitely return. Maybe at a quieter time of year but as two couples we loved this holiday from its customer service to its facilities. I want to thank Gran Oasis for an amazing holiday. We hope to see you soon! Arrived late with 2 kids, no food laid on, I emailed before we left home and was promised cold food in the apartment, didn't materialize, first disappointment. The 3rd bed for the kids folded up and in the lounge so had to lug the bed downstairs !! It is now 1 o'clock in the morning and I wanted to go home. Beware the stairs that are right by the front door. The bedroom was lovely and the air con ace. Anyway next day felt a bit better and the apartment was clean. Food ok but struggled a bit in the evening, had better. Dining area a bit cramped. Having said all that the staff do make up for it and really friendly. The pools are nice ( inflatable city) but still the same old issue with sunbeds so can't beat 'em join e'm, which is what we did. You can eat and drink all day if you want to. The hotel very clean so can't fault that. The entertainment not brilliant but taxis plentiful into Playas. In the end we did enjoy it but I don't think I would go back. If you like a walk out after dinner, this place is too far out. The redeeming feature of this hotel is the brilliant staff. Collapse
