The Gran Oasis Resort, located on Golf Las Américas, opposite the fourth green, and with marvellous views of the course, is reminiscent of a small colonial style village, with buildings of one or two floors, surrounded by marvellous pathways and gardens, with a superb collection of tropical palm trees. The resort has all the services you would expect from a first class hotel: restaurant, swimming pool, bar, games room, children's club, putting green, supermarket and the internet in comfortable and spacious facilities.

They couldn't have taken better care of us at this hotel. Service was exceptionally good and every member of staff was incredibly friendly. Rooms were well equipped and thoroughly cleaned. There was a lot of variation in the food every night and all of it was cooked brilliantly. Overall, there were no complaints with this hotel and we would happily stay again, in fact it would be our first choice for Tenerife Collapse

With so many super reviews I had high expectations this would be a great resort for our family holiday, but I was left a little disappointed. As a party of ten, six adults, four children aged six, two two and a half year olds and a thirteen month old, we all looked forward to enjoying the facilities, service and quality that the excellent reviews led us to believe we would experience! After a two hour flight delay we missed our planned evening meal by 15mins arriving approx 9.45pm (the restaurant closed at 9.30pm) I was a little disappointed that a small selection of food was still not available to us or offered (as has previously been available in similar circumstances at other resorts) We would also have expected someone available to help us with our luggage, although Lydia did say that he was currently helping someone and would be back shortly. This resort has some excellent points:- The staff have been mentioned in many previous reviews and I have to agree the “Be Happy” theme of the resort is portrayed by the vast majority of the staff and they are a very warm welcoming team and certainly made us feel valued! Lydia in reception in particular always had a warm welcoming persona and was very efficient, helpful and informative. The three Pools and the false grass around the edges is an excellent idea it enhanced the appearance and made it safe to walk around. The kitchen in our room was superbly equipped with everything you would want to self cater if you desired, with what looked like new fridges, microwaves ect. The balconies false grass was a nice effect and safety netting this allowed you to admire the view whilst sitting on the balcony. The Wfi was free and excellent in our room and all areas of the resort. The Evening entertainment was excellent. The Air Conditioning was good and quiet. The White wine and Beer was very acceptable. The Games / Arcade Area (Chargeable) was quite large area with a good selection of games, Pool, table football and Computer games. Because we missed our evening meal on arrival we were allowed to retain our all inclusive benefits until we left the hotel at 5.30pm which allowed us to have lunch and drinks until we departed. We were allowed a late checkout till noon at no extra cost which was nice gesture, although we did not require it. The issues we encountered:- Room 123 looking a little tired front door was catching and sticking the floor badly the stairway light was hanging half off the wall and the toilet seat was very loose and moved about six inches every time you lifted it and the shower lead was rusty. The room had a safe but was labelled not usable, you had to use safe boxes in a room at the side of reception, this was a real hassle because every time you wanted something out you had to first of all gain entrance to the room with a receptionist letting you in (which in fairness if they were dealing a guest they would always flick the switch to let you into the safe room) these boxes we're not very big my laptop is 31cm x 23cm and would only fit in if it was forced to the top of the box. l have stayed in many different types and quality of accommodation have always had a safe deposit box in the room before.(They cost 18euros a week) There were several boxes that were broken and left open and had tape on them in the safe room, a sheet of A4 paper lay on the floor for the full week we stayed the room just looked untidy. The luggage storage room which is in reception had the most tatty lock and appearance. The main large pool had a green ring around it which had obviously built up over a period of time worrying! I did manage to scrape marks into it. The Mini Golf Course that was advertised there is none. The Whirlpool, in the main Pool not working. On departure no courtesy room available for us to shower and change so we were had to change in the public pool shower toilet area where the water was fluctuating from hot to cold dependant on the ladies showers drawing the water first! As a family of ten we booked three half hour time slots from 3.30pm to 5pm but when we went to reception to establish where we were to shower and change we were told we could only have an hour from 3.30-4.30pm the shower area was also being used by other guests who used the facilities as well as us! no member of staff was policing this area to make sure departing guest could have a dignified departure! this area had no air conditioning so it was almost a waste of time showering! (Why couldn't the spar facilities be used? I presume they had showers! The plastic pool chairs must be brittle (as previous reviews have mentioned) we witnessed a chair leg snapping one Night and it was not a heavy person that was dispatched to the floor. (thankfully they were not seriously injured) The Loro Park bird show was conducted solely in Spanish, what a shame as I guess 90% of the guests were english speaking, and thats why there was very little aplause each time a performance was completed. The food was average but there was plenty of choice but lacking in quality, we eat out twice! what was concerning a piece of chicken my son chose that had been “show cooked” by a young tall chef was still red in the middle it was only a small piece of chicken not very thick at the ends but a lot thicker in the middle it was lucky he had only eaten the end piece before he noticed! and thankfully he was ok! We gave it to the small short haired waiter who took it to the lady chef who looked like she was in charge. No one came to apologise we should have taken a photo of it, so be careful! No a/c in reception. There was no waiter service asking if you required drinks. The cocktails are pre made beforehand and very limited unless you upgrade. One restaurant for all meals. The table settings were the same from breakfast to evening meal with no attempt to enhance the service for the evening meal or dress the tables with table cloths, we were expecting a little something special for the Gala Evening the Loro Park show for 30mins I think that was it no special food ect all very confusing! I have to say was extreamly surprised to find that had we not been delayed when we arrived and missed our evening meal, on check out at 11am our all inclusive benefits would have finished. But because of our delay and missed evening meal we were allowed have the all inclusive benefits till we left resort. Which was a nice gesture! (there is an option to pay 10euro’s to retain the all inclusive benefits from the checkout time) Never before of the many all inclusive resorts we have stayed have we had a situation on checkout where our all inclusive benefits have ceased immediately we checked out or have been asked to pay a supplement! The resort is built on a hill so some of the rooms would be quite a challenge to walk to. My wife had to help the cleaner with her trolley the one day as she could not move forwards with it because of the incline. As recently mentioned flys around the pool did become quite annoying. All in all a little investment and attention to detail required. Collapse
Ask for a property with a high number if you do not like stairs!!

Just arrived home after a week staying here. Firstly would like to say the staff are absolutely lovely always smiling and there's loads of them!! A special thank you to Jose at the taste bar had a good chat with him every time we saw him and apparently I'm the image of his sons ex girlfriend so nice to know I have a Spanish twin too!! Arrived at around 11:30. Had to wait til around half 2 which was a pain as we were both boiling in our British trackies but they were going as fast as they could and check in isn't garunteed til 4. One of the reception actually came to find us to tell us the room was ready which was extremely kind of them so that we could sit and have a drink and chill out without having to keep going back to reception. The rooms were amazing they are apartments on two floors. Would highly recommend staying in room 183 if you do not want stairs it's just behind the pool it doesn't have a view but has two balconies and no stairs to climb to it. Also couldn't hear much noise either and entertainment goes on until 11-1130. Food was the best all inc we have had apart from breakfast, didn't enjoy that as it just isn't the same as what we are used too. Lunch and dinner always plenty of choice but very bland which is understandable as they have so many to cater from. Had no issues finding something we both liked and finding a table at any of the times. Drinks are good but beware their measurements are what we would call triple !! In the end I had to tell them only a little bit of gin as it was way to strong for me but if you like strong drinks this would be perfect lol. Stayed mainly at the top bar as they have a no smoking policy in most places of the hotel so beware If your a smoker. Found it difficult in the bottom bar to find seats to watch the entertainment so didn't see much of it apart from the magician which was great! Very family orientated so as a couple it was odd to see so many kids especially a week after half term. Regardless had a great holiday weather could of been better very cloudy but that isn't the hotels fault. One thing u will say is they had building work going on which was really annoying when trying to sunbathe i think customers should be prewarned about that so they are prepared or can decide whether they want to stay there, other than that... lovely place! Supermarket in the resort which was handy. All in all. Great staff food was above average for all inc. loads of sun beds and three pools to choose from but I really recommend talking to staff about room choices the stairs to some of them are ridiculously steep! Taxi to and from airport 25-30 euros. Siam park and las Americas 5-10 euros to get there. Didn't use their free shuttle bus as do not like to be limited to a certain time but sure they were fine too (they do not run on Sundays though) internet and signal is quite hit and miss couldn't use my ipad to watch sky go as the connection wasnt fast enough but it's free so don't expect anything more. Downside lots of stairs lots of kids breakfast, and not exactly in the centre. We wouldn't come back only because we do not go to the same place twice but I can see why people do you know you will have a lovely apartment and great people looking after you. Fab holiday thank you Jose and staff for everything! Collapse

The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff were all amazing. We had our daughter turn 3 whilst there and he had the best time ever and the staff made a big fuss on her birthday which was great. It is a good walk to the room we were in which was a struggle with cases and the main strip was a fair distance away but taxis were cheap and the walk down wasn't too bad, just the walk back uphill that was a struggle. No issues with the drinks and the food was mostly great but a few items were noted as vegetarian that had chicken, also could make it more interesting food choice for the kids so that is only reason giving 4 stars. The pools and entertainment were really good and we would recommend this hotel. Collapse
