This was the second time we have stayed in this hotel - the position cannot be bettered being right on the beautiful sandy beach at St Brelades Bay. The hotel is a little tired in places but the staff and service are exceptional. We have had a "inland view" room on both occasions but would definitely go for a sea view room next time if there was one available, although the premium for the sea view is a little eye-watering! The room, although small, had everything you needed and was very clean. The food in the dining room can be a bit variable, there is a table d'hote menu each night which is included in the half board option, very good starters and desserts and a choice of three main dishes - meat, fish or vegetarian - although you can also eat from the grill menu, some of the dishes do carry a surcharge though. The breakfasts are really good, plenty of choice and very well cooked. You could also get Jersey cream teas in the bar/lounge which seemed to be very popular. The only drawback with this hotel is that there is no separate residents lounge, although there are some armchairs and sofas in the bar/lounge area and there is a room on the first floor which is called a lounge but is decidedly lacking in comfort, being more geared to being a childrens playroom. The hotel has no grounds, having the road one side and the beach the other, but there are some lovely public gardens a few yards along the promenade where you can sit in the sun and enjoy the view. Good choice of resort. Hotel fine. Service good. Friendly staff. Room not bad had car park view. Not recommended. Walls thin, could hear conversation from next door, chap did not pause for breath at night. Could have been worse I guess. Great views sitting in bar area. Good service. Stranve coasters for glasses, paper napkin. Great beach. Breakfast average Sugar reef restaurant next door good. Plenty of eateries in St Aubyns, try Pedro's. Not sure how it gets it's 4* Wi Fi intermittent Only gripe really is no car park. Use of one opposite hotel however you have to buy the scratch card tickets. Not particularly dear if you are out in the car all day but did not see any other hotel without it's own car park. Even the 3* next door had one. Even if they had a discount deal would be something. We stayed for a three night /four day trip. It is a lovely hotel and the look and view from the room had the wow! factor when we first walked into it. Our room was on the top floor (401) under the eaves of the roof. It had a balcony and chairs to sit in the sun which is catches the sunlight most of the day. Unfortunately the sun only shone one of the days! The room was very spacious and also had two chairs and table to sit and read / watch tv etc. Our room was near the lift but we didn't hear it at all making the stay very peaceful and also the bed was very comfortable. My only concern was it was always very hot and stuffy in the room even when a dull day with the patio door fully open. We put it down to the fact that all the heat rises and also comes from the roof. It would benefit from air conditioning. A guest two doors away from us and also stated the same problem of being too warm. I dread to think what it would be like in the height of the summer! The food was good at the evening meal and breakfast and unlike one recent reviewer comment we DID see food restocked when low. We found all the staff very friendly and accommodating especially the housekeeping ladies. At reception on our second day we asked for blankets to regulate the heat in bed, instead of the duvet, as it states in the literature in the room they will provide pillows or blankets etc. When the housekeeping arrived we were still in the room and although I was happy to replace them myself they insisted they were happy to do it. Our room was always clean and tidy. There are a number of other eating places in St Brelade's bay, but as we had hired a car went to St Aubin which is nearby. We would stay again but perhaps to a lower room but would put a plea in for air conditioning for future guests as the rooms are quite expensive. It must be worth the expenditure to compete with hotels abroad. Collapse

Stayed for 3 nights, 15 minute taxi ride from airport. the hotel is overlooking the beautiful St Brelards Bay. We booked a garden view room but asked for an upgrade. We were given a suit room for an extra £40 a night. Well worth it , the views were amazing. We had room 102. Be aware though that it is above the Hotels Cafe bar so can be a bit noisy, however we took ear plugs and slept really well. the bed was comfortable and clean, the room was a good size with a nice on suite, flat screen tv and nice lounge area. The balcony was huge and we had two lots of patio doors with a large seating area that caught the sun. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, from reception to the cafe bar to breakfast. Food was s good standard with a good choice . Hotel is close to several restaurants, including, pizza Express, Sugar reef with a good varied menu, ribs, burgers, Etc. Jambo is a great Chinese, lovely owner excellent food. There is s bus stop right outside hotel, the price is really cheap, we paid £4.00 for two of us, it takes you all round the island. St Helier was a disappointment as high rise flats and offices have taken over. However you must go to the old slaughterhouse Market that had been converted to shops , it has a really nice atmosphere, with quirky shops. If your feeling energetic you can walk the coastal paths to take in the views. Lots of Old army gun turrets.... spooky. There is also the Churchill park which is quite steep but well worth it. Loads of exotic plants and ponds. Fabulous view from the top. We enjoyed our stay and would defiantly go back to jersey again. Collapse

This hotel sits on the promenade of the third most beautiful beach in UK. It truely has sea views directly onto the beach from the bedrooms and from the dining room. A small balcony area allows you to sit outside almost on the beach to have a drink or to eat. The only problem is that this area seems to be where the smokers go so you need to bag your pitch! However dont worry if you cant sit outside, the inside dining room has full view of the beach. There are some bedrooms at the back of the hotel that look out over the road, try to get a sea view although they will be more expensive. The roadside rooms have poor views and can be noisy. The food is fine, the staff are very attentive and kind. Within this price range you get a millionaires sea view. Collapse
