A nice hotel when comparing the quality to the price. We've had 4 very nice days in Rome and found the location of the hotel just perfect. It was easy to walk to nearly all the sightseeing we wished which was a major plus. The room was a bit smaller than expected but still fine and very clean and with a nice bed. Also the staff was friendly and helpful when we wanted to sleep with separately blanket/sheets which were delivered to our room after we mentioned it in the reception. We generally found the staff very helpful and nice. We had two nights with some problem with the noise from the rooms around us which was quite annoying. It was so noisy from the guests in the other rooms and actually you could hear snoring and toilet visits. Not a very nice experience when you'd like to be fresh and ready for the next day.. luckily we had two good nights out of four because the guest from the other room left the day after. But also the last night was terrible because of laughter and yelling from the garden (I believe) which was so annoying and went on till maybe 2 o'clock or something like that. The breakfast is under average and really a thing that easily could be improved. The bread was kind of stale and the cold meat rubbery. The staff gladly serves a fine cup of cappuccino though when you find the coffee form the buffet too bad. Collapse

We have been to Rome many times to visit our family when we can. This was the first time in the cold coming from an Australian summer! We didn't really need a anything super luxurious or fancy (we would only sleep in the room as we are out from morning until late) This hotel met our needs, the rooms WERE as described and we asked via email for an image of the type of room we had booked prior to arrival to confirm. (These days images can be misleading) Check in was simple and the gentleman was very friendly and polite. He spoke good English but I preferred to brush up on my Italian straight away so it became comfortable for both of us! We stayed in a standard room and it was as expected based on images we had seen. The room was very clean, our bed linen changed daily and fresh towels to replace those used. We were a group of 4 and the location was fantastic for our friends who were purely travelling and sight seeing whilst we were visiting relatives out of the city. Breakfast was a simple continental style and acceptable. I was really sad to leave as we were made to feel so welcome although a short 4 night stay. My brother is visiting in July and he will definitely be staying here! Grazie molto to Domenico and his team! Collapse

The Good: The hotel benefits from an excellent location on the Via Nazionale. There is a very convenient taxi stand just in front of the hotel. Public transit options are also very close. The hotel is in a very safe neighborhood so you can walk around at any time with no problems. I must admit the hotel is very clean, they housekeeping does a great job here with the cleaning of the rooms. The Bad: Just about everything.... What a nightmare experience. I have been waiting to write my review hoping that the local management would have done the right thing & addressed it properly. But after multiple opportunities they did not. I can tell you that from the moment we arrived at the moment we left this was a bad experience. I was there with 20 other guests that were all traveling together as part of a group. Check in was a complete disaster & took more than 2 hours. They have only 1 agent at the front desk. He has a major attitude problem & was super rude to us. Customer service is just not something they care about at this hotel. Some people got desperate & paid a small fortune at the last minute to upgrade to the new vibe rooms which are much nicer. But the ones in the older rooms. WOW - they look like prison cells in a third world country. I'm talking mold, cracked tiles, just horrible! What you would expect at a roadside motel. Breakfast is a complete joke. Every day the same canned peaches, the same bread and no variety whatsoever. Artificial Oranje Juice from a machine tasted like plastic. The agent that works the front desk at night has a terrible smell. Be warned! The Ugly: The elevator here is the smallest I have ever seen. I travel to Europe quite frequently so I am used to the small elevators. This is micro small. They only have 1 elevator for this large hotel. It's always busy & most guests end up having to use the stairs. A major inconvenience if you are in a rush or for older persons with mobility issues. In-room amenities? A joke. A terrible quality soap & shampoo. You're lucky they even give you that. If you want to give the manager a complaint or feedback. They don't care to listen. There is a reason why this place is cheap, now I know why. There is also a reason why this place has so may controversial reviews. I should have known better. Do yourself a favor & stay somewhere else where they respect people. Don't take it from me, just read the other reviews. Notice the follow-up message from management is always very rude & defensive in tone. Never do they own up to any service issues. On the contrary, right here on this public forum, they will actually challenge the guest. As I'm sure, they will do with mine. Collapse

Room was good and decent size. Had a safe storage and we use to leave our travel docs in it. Breakfast was average. Front desk spoke decent English and even did an upgrade of room on request. There breakfast service i blv doesnt start before 7:30 or 7:45. When we were planning to Villa Borgheese we had an early morning appointment. Front desk was kind enough to offer Coffee and muffin to us and on the day of checkout offered to keep our luggage. Place of this hotel is very good. Right opposite to this hotel is the bus stop and lot of bus connection. We always boarded a bus and never used a taxi to go anywhere except on the last day to go to airport. Collapse
