The room was very narrow and small , but hotel placed an additional folding bed in room and told us that it is a double room. We placed a case in bathroom under basin as there was not sufficient space in room. Wife made use of hand basin and removed the plug and water ran straight through into my case below and wet case and contents. Handyman was sent to repair. Second night , returned to room and room door would not close. Handyman sent once again and made use of a hammer and got door to close. They sent someone to repair the door the following day. When I was packing to leave on the last morning ,I discovered that the safe I had been using for passports and all my foreign currency was free standing and not attached to anything. Anyone could have carried the safe away without any problem and I would have lost everthing. The man at the reception was not helpful nor was he friendly. I would like to be advised how this hotel ever received its ratings. Hotel is well located but this is where it ends. We would have had more space if there was a bunk and not an extra folding bed.Hope to never return to this hotel and I do hope that others will have a better experience and get what they paid for. Lift is very small and will only take one person with a large case. Collapse
Jail cell would be bigger than this room.

That room was not what I booked and to be honest I can't even believe they would charge what they do for that. My sheets were not clean and I had to call down to get them changed after a long day of travel. The guy was annoyed and didn't even want to change all of it, he kept saying no just bed sheet. Gross, change the whole thing and be nice about it! The location is great, but I bet you can find something better and bigger for way less. Also dont expect the front desk to help you with any questions. I asked about the food tours and the colosseum and the guy just mumbled that he didn't know and turned around. Collapse

I had a single room in Giolli and it was like a closet, I've never seen such a small room in my life, I paid 204 euros per night and didn't expect to have something like a grave! The location is good but this place is very over priced, it's very easy to move around the city with buses and it doesn't worth to pay this price for a place that it's even worth than motels! if someone has Claustrophobia shouldn't come to this place specifically in a single room and elevator, it's so small which is really hard to get in with a small suitcase. I'm pretty petite but had a hard time to even change my clothes in this room! Very disappointed, breakfast was bad, breads was always dry and the staff there very unfriendly snd rude. Collapse
Highly priced, over promising but under delivering HI Express/Hampton Hilton style hotel ..

Four nights spent here whilst in Rome. We booked a Vibe Deluxe room deliberately to avoid a small room which I had heard was a common problem in Rome. Check out the picture on their website of a Vibe Deluxe room - it is spacious and has a sofa in it as well as a double bed so you would imagine it to be a pretty decent size and, at £250 per night, you would expect something pretty special. Not so, the room we had was smaller than a typical Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Hilton (which I stay in every week in the UK) and although it was clean and reasonably furnished, it was too small for both a sofa and a bed. The room number (334) was on a sticker next to the door whereas other rooms had glass embossed plates so there was another concern that this was not all it was supposed to be. Convinced that I had been given the wrong room, I spoke to reception immediately, who informed me that "all sofas had been removed from all rooms by order of the management" and that I was indeed in a Vibe deluxe room as I was on the third floor where all the deluxe rooms were. My subsequent pleading fell on deaf ears so I gave up. On reflection, I think that what they have done in both their in-room brochure and on their website, is to describe the "vibe" rooms generically when actually, much of the description of these rooms such as "facing the Palazzo, having cherry toned italian sofas and spacious showers" only relate to the suites and not the Vibe Deluxe - please be aware of this as the room we were in did not have a view, nor a cherry-toned sofa and the shower was over a very small, child size bath. I therefore think it was very expensive for what it offered and I felt let down by the description and photographs from when I booked. Despite the disappointment with the room, there were some positive notes about this hotel with the first and most obvious being its central location, fairly close to the Trevi fountain, the free breakfast from 7.30am until 10am and the small fridge in the room that allows you to store a a bottle of limoncillo to help revive tired souls after a day's walking and sight seeing. One final point ... they do a red carpet service which they told me includes late checkout, breakfast, airport transfer, wi-fi, a fruit basket and a bottle of wine and they wanted another €250 for this! Remembering that the wifi and breakfast were already included in my room rate and that I could not take advantage of a late checkout due to return flight times, I haggled and got this down to €150 euros for the transfer, fruit and wine which I still thought was expensive, A little more research revealed that you can get a non-stop "Leonardo" express train from the airport to Rome Termini (30 minutes) and then a 64, 170 or H bus right to the door of the hotel (10 minutes) for about €30 for two people, I therefore declined to take up their kind offer. If location is your main criteria then this would be a reasonable hotel but, if you can, try to go that extra mile and upgrade to a suite otherwise you will get something comparable to Holiday Inn Express style quality at Waldorf prices. The best thing abt the hotel is its location . Its on via nazionale which is a great place to shop and has number of eating joints in the vicinity. The hotel staff however was rude and lacked basic courtesy. The hotel has unethically marketed itself by showing the picture of a monument on the opposite side .It shares the building with another hotel and a few commercial organisation The termini , Santa Maria Majure and the Colloseo were at walking distances . The road is a happening one and public transport facility is good. Breakfast was average and there was no bell boy facility at the hotel. Rooms were standard . I am sure there are better properties in the vicnity. Collapse
