Bit wary of going to Benidorm and worried about picking up keys and locating apartment. Followed instructions to go downstairs from arrivals at Alicante, went to Resort Care desk and given directions for bus and drop off. Drop off Dynastic but driver came and checked if keys at Dynastic (pointed out Gemelos blocks) but keys were at Buenavista. He got us back on the bus and dropped us off: two streets along at the corner of Levante and up on left was the Buenavista. Chap dealing with queue of people, family ahead of me a bit bemused by where they were meant to go: their hotel was *down at the beach*. Paid 100 euros for keys and assured it would be refunded and desk was open 24 hours. (Never found the "Finca Benidorm down at the beach": the letting agent). Walked back down the road and opened gate of Gemelos 22. Checked out Block one and two. Spoke to a lady in the dark and asked for Block 3.It was the block past the pools!! Entered a very clinical, tiled tower block from back entrance. Up in lift to 3b and lovely apartment. Bathroom with shower over bath, bidet, sink and loo. Bedroom 2 single beds good sized room. Kitchenette off living room, wiith double sink, oven, hob, fridge freezer, coffee maker and usual crockery, pots n pans. Utility room off kitchenette, with microwave on top of washing machine, nice deep ceramic sink if u feel the need to rinse thru your smalls or swimming costume. Drying screen u can put on balcony. can eat in sitting room or on balcony. (We didn't bother with the TV or the internet). If u enter from front of apartment shop downstairs who set up fruit and veg stalls every morning. Handy for stock of milk, eggs, bread, tins, anything. At back of apartments outdoor pools, enclosed warm pool open from 10am - 7pm. Block 2 has activities area, some books, tables and selection games and some gymn equipment. Block one has bigger selection of books but if blue fob on key (with "Finca Benito") not meant to borrow from book section back of block past laundry area. Kids playing football, tennis court, putting bit but out of season so not manned. Sun loungers free from 16 Oct but need to put them back on the stack. Noticed odd janitor wandering about outside Block 2!! Coming out of Block 3 turn right on Sunday big market at bottom of road:usual clothes, kitchenware, fruit n veg, toys, jewelleryetc. Turning left out of Block 3 walk up road, turn right at top of road and head straight down to beach. Turn left at top of road and bus 10 runs to circle end of Medditeranean road, u can then walk straight ahead to old town. Or get bus no 10 going too Altea or Albir. Bus ticket 1.50 euros for any distance. Altea has bit of history, old town up over 100steps, lovely old cobbled streets and church. Or head off to Tourist info office, near Morgans (Main pub with live acts), get map. Head off to Avendida Europa and get bus to Alicante return ticket 8 euros. Make sure u get off at the right stop on return. May terminate at bus station. After that the bus is off to Valencia. Yes good location for Gemelos 22 and everything u need. Collapse

Just got back from a 6 night stay. We stayed in apartment 12D. These apartments are cheap and reflects in the price. They are very dated. Keys for apartment had to be collected from another complex which was about 5-10 mind away and deposit was taken. €100 for our stay which was returned no problem as long as you keep your receipt. Rooms comprise of one bedroom lounge kitchen bathroom and small utility. Kitchen has enough pans plates etc to prepare a meal if you wanted, also has oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Utility has separate small sink and washing machine. The one in our room was on its last legs though. Ok for washing through swimwear. Our apartment also had aircon which was a bonus. Pool area is really nice though. Nice and clean and pools are big with a children’s play are in the pool with slides etc. Also small crazy gold and tennis courts. Plus an indoor pool. Sun beds were free too from 15th October for winter season. No maid service provided in our stay but that may be because we were there for a week only. Also you had to take your rubbish out to the bins on the street. Apartments are approx 10/15 min walk to the beach which was good. Loads of shops and bars close by to choose from but away from the strip which suited us. And about 30/40 min walk to the old town. All in all they did us for the 6 nights. Collapse

we booked this through booking.com. we arrived late at night only to find the info on the booking.com website to be wrong. they said to pick up the keys at an office down at the beach front out of hours ..i left my partner and child at the dynastic hotel and i ran down to the beach only to find that the keys had to be picked up at the buenavista apartments two street up from the gemelos 22. be aware they want 100 euros deposit and 50 euros for cleaning all CASH !!! , room was basic but clean (i should think so). in the morning we went to said beach office only to be told the aircon got switch off mid sept and WONT be getting switched on, wifi 25 euros a week, tv remote 20 euros a week. but the biggest fault in these apartment blocks is the sunbed situation ! they cost 2.50 euro but make sure your there before 1pm because they get locked up and then at 5pm they get taken off you even though the sun is splitting the sky ! which is a shame because the grounds are beautiful and so peacefull its a shame its spoilt by stupid rules, oh and by the way, they charge you 5 euros to watch your cases on site if you are a late pick up, its all about fleecing you for money. we were so disapointed staying here. Location good. apartment very basic. Charges 50-60 euro for air con, only 2 towels per person for 1 week. Charge 2.50 euros for sun beds, if left longer than 1 hour it will be re sold to other guests. Overall it was disappointing.

These apartments are like a home from home with all amenities and a huge balcony. A good shop underneath with fresh fruit and veg. Pool is lovely and gardens are so well kept. There was no music or noise at the pool. Nice and relaxing and such a change from outside the gates. It was 2 euro a day for a sun lounger. View is good as these apartments are really high No free wifi, i had to walk to the beach to pay for it (20 euro for a week) and it was never turned on. Collapse
