I am staying here on recommendation of a work colleague, and to be honest as a business traveller i could not have wanted more. Perfect location, and the harbour is actually a nice sight in the morning and late evening. The staff are very welcoming and all spoke good English. The rooms are clean, and modern though with a good feel of the history of the building. The beds are up there with the best I've slept in, so absolutely no complaints. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and at very good speeds. The breakfast is continental style, with a small warm food section. Very nice and fresh. All the staff are so helpful, and polite. A particular thanks to the elderly doorman, who provided perfect directions, when i needed a mobile phone shop, rather urgently. A definite on the list to stay again, when i'm next in Gdansk. Ah, and don't forget to try the hotel brewed beer. That's rights, your sleeping on top of a brewery. A real treat and you even get a free bottle for a welcome. They really have thought of everything. Thanks. Worth every one of the 5 stars! Collapse

Hotel Gdansk This is a very comfortable hotel which whilst not in the centre is only five minutes’ walk away. We had booked a superior room in the Yachting section of the hotel because we wanted a room with a balcony. The room had a large balcony with a table, two chairs and plenty of space to stand and look over the river towards the city centre. Although there isn't a view as such the hotel's car park is directly in front of the balcony so there aren't any buildings immediately in adjacent to the balcony. The bedroom was also very large. The king sized bed was in an alcove formed by the bathroom leaving the rest of the room to hold two armchairs, an occasional table, dressing table and chair, wardrobe and fridge. There was plenty of space in this area of the room. The hotel doesn't provide tea making facilities as standard. Before we arrived I had emailed the hotel and asked. They replied saying that whilst there weren’t tea making facilities in the room they would provide a kettle. We brought teabags and were able to buy milk from a shop a few doors down from the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The ones that we came into contact with also all spoke good English. The room was air conditioned but we couldn't get it to work. There was also a fan on the ceiling but we couldn't find where this turned on. The WIFI at the hotel was excellent. We had no problem in streaming radio broadcasts. A couple of times on our penultimate day the signal did drop out for a few moments and was shown as "unavailable" however it came back on within minutes. The bathroom was more than adequate with very good water pressure in the shower. The problem was that the pressure was so high that unless the showerhead was wedged in position the floor and shelf by the washbasin got flooded. Breakfast was good with a good selection of juices and cereals, hot food, cold meats and cheese, breads and sweet pastries. Breakfast here means you don't need much lunch! We paid 666 PLN for the room per night to include breakfast. We felt that was a reasonable rate to pay for the room. Collapse

This was a really nice hotel! Its only a few minutes walk from the main tourist street and you can easily get around. The staff were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful. We were given a room in the new part of the hotel at the back. Unfortunatley theres a massive building site at the back of the hotel which looks like its going to be a long time before its finished. However, when we arrived in our room there was a letter apologising for the noise / work, 2 free bottles of beer in the fridge and a voucher for a free evening meal. This more than compensated for the noise, although the workmen started at around 7am every morning through the week so if you plan to lie in bed all morning it might be a problems for you! It wasnt a problem for us. The room was clean, large and comfortable with air conditioning. The bathroom was also a decent size. I was a bit disappointed that there wasnt a bath, but ther was a very large, powerful shower. The free wifi worked well wihtout any problems The breakfast was buffet style, there was plenty of choice and lots of it! The first day we went for breakfast at around 9.30 (on a saturday) and it was really busy. However, the staff made sure there was always plently of food available and cleared the tables quickly. The rest of our stay we went to breakfast earlier and it was much quieter. Collapse

Food was nice and had a well stocked bar especially with their own brewery inside. Great position close to the old town and waterfront and would definitely stay again Collapse
