I attended a conference in this hotel on 29 of November 2016. There was no vegetarian option available when choosing lunch options. My colleagues were finished when my lunch?? arrived. The food was dire and inedible the vegetarian option seems to have been a gloup of hot curry soup. I generally do not complain but this has been the absolute worst vegetarian food experience in Donegal to date. Vegetarians you have been warned do not eat in this hotel. Collapse

I had a sudden change of plans that required me to get a last minute booking in the town. I had stayed here in the past and found it adequate. Not sure who owned it at the time, possibly NAMA, but it was called Gallaghers. It was a basic hotel, with very basic facilities and in need of a refresh. This time around it looked a lot smarter and brighter. The bar was open, which was just a little too young and lively for me at the end of a day that involved almost 600km of driving, but the foyer was comfortable, and I sipped my whiskey in peace before heading off to my room. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and I was pleased to have had a solid night's sleep. It felt like the hotel was empty since it was so quiet, but there were enough people about for breakfast to convince me the rooms were either well soundproofed, or I was a lot more tired than I thought. The cooked breakfast looked very good, but I went with the lighter option because I felt I could do with it and my morning ahead of me was likely to be full of coffee and cakes. Checking out was as painless as checking in. The same friendly girl was on reception, but she assured me she had been home in the intervening period. My car was in the well lit, underground carpark later in the day when I got back from my meetings. I'll be back. Collapse

had a great trip away to McGettigans. easy to find, good car park. The receptionist was lovely and check in was very smooth. The room was very spacious and had everything you would need for a night away. We got Breakfast delivered to the room for a small fee and it was very good too. We also ate in the adjoining bar, Warehouse and it could not be faulted, the food was delicious and reasonable. All in all a highly enjoyable stay and we will be back again. Collapse

We arrived for a one night stay, the atmosphere was warm and cosey. We had lunch in the Warehouse bar and restaurant It was top quality. The barmaid and waiter were very friendly and not pushy at all. We felt very comfortable. After an afternoon in Letterkenny we returned for dinner which again was excellent. Our dinner was accompanied by guitar duo playing the most exquisite music, classic after classic delivered with perfection. This was a highpoint of our stay. The room was clean comfortable and snug with all the usual facilities. We slept well with no disturbance. Breakfast was self-service, the chef serving was very pleasant. The price was very reasonable if not cheap. Well done McGettigans you gave us a great experience. Thanks to all your friendly staff. Collapse

Last minute decision to stay in Letterkenny and all that was left was this hotel. As the title suggests cheap with no breakfast included. I stayed here also a few years prior and it remained unchanged on this arrival. We were given a room at the very back of the hotel, which unfortunately was where the deliveries started to arrive pretty early in the morning. Rooms are basic and foul smelling. Most likely because, it been an old smoking bedroom in the past (I'd say). Furniture had literally lumps taking out of it. The windows were in a bad state. The beds had one pillow, a duvet, and a fitted sheet. The bathrooms were below average. The grout between the tiles was filthy. A shower curtain, surely they're a health and safety issue. The bath had hairs in it, which was not ours! Anyways, we proceeded to get ready and go to Warehouse. A very trendy and funky bar, with good service, polite staff and an enjoyable atmosphere. On arriving back to the hotel, we decided we would enjoy our last beverage before bed. However, "the local drunk" was in the lobby and we all sat in anticipation for his departure to his room. Before he left, he solicitated my friend, asking "how much are you?", "come on with me" etc . The night porter was made aware of the situation, and he laughed at us. Politely asked the "local drunk" to go to bed and finally he did. We thought this was unprofessional, and if the hotel had of seen an issue gardai can be contacted. There was no repercussions for the gentlemans behaviour and no apology. Appalling overall. Collapse
