Fabulous location overlooking Falmouth and Polruan. We arrived for a one night stay expecting a courtyard room ,however we were pleasantly surprised to have an upgrade in the main house. Our room was at the top of the house ,it was family sized ,quite spacious for a couple. Adjacent in one of the towers is a children's room from which the views ,through little portholes ,were enchanting. We dined early and chose several delicious dishes from a well thought out menu. The only minor quibble being attention to table service,on several occasions we had to go out our way to be noticed. All in all a comfortable night in a cosy room. Will this be our new favourite? Possibly not ,somehow and it's not easy to explain why ,it's not as good as some of the other hotels in the group. Collapse

My fiancé and I visited Fowey Hall for one night and had a wonderful time. The staff are very lovely, and definitely go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is amazing (this is the main reason my partner and I stay at Fowey Hall, as we are massive foodies). The menu is always updated, fresh and very tasty! The extra touches go a long way (olives with drinks, bread and oils pre starter etc). The breakfast seems to have changed to cooked being on the buffet, which wasn’t a problem as you can pick exactly what you’d like, however I would say it does take away the relaxing morning experience to venture into the loud ‘kids club’ canteen to queue up to put your toast in the rotating machine (a top little premier inn). A few little things that would make the hotel even more amazing... the pool is average with some old bean bags (the same bean bags from our first visit 3 years ago). A steam room/sauna added would do wonders, and the pool could be made bigger, as during busy times not much room to move. Our room ‘Claire’ was very clean, tidy and we loved the Dyson fan. However a little updating would brighten up the room, especially where the paint is peeling off in the bathroom. As a young couple we will continue visiting out of school holidays to enjoy the great hotel and the food! Collapse

We booked three nights HB and I have to say, it was the best decision I to was told to make! Staff- brilliant, accommodation -great, hotel facilities- great. As soon as we walked in we had the smell of gorgeous wood smoke from the open fires! Big tick. Staff could not be more polite and well meaning. Here children are celebrated not looked down upon as some kind of irritant. Food, what can I say. I heard the chef had a big head!! So he should!! Food was fantastic!! Manager of the hotel- relaxed, efficient and in control. Great! What a find, we will be back without doubt! Collapse

Booked a spa treatment with a cream tea with a voucher. Picked a back, neck & shoulder massage with a facial & it was probably one of the best treatments I've had. My therapist, Sophie, was lovely & very professional. I used to be a beauty therapist so know what should be expected with a treatment. She was amazing, I felt so relaxed & will definitely request her again when I return. We had a quick swim in the pool after our treatments but the pool was quite cold so we didn't stay in there very long! Afterwards we popped over to the main hotel for our cream tea which was beautifully presented, warm scones, jam, clotted cream, loose leaf tea & also some fresh strawberries. Perfect! We could choose to have the tea wherever we wanted & weren't rushed to leave once we'd finished. We were even shown round the hotel as we were interested in what the rest of the hotel looked like! It is simply beautiful & I can't wait to return. Very highly recommended. Collapse
