Do not attempt to come vacation here. There are so many rules in and around the pool. Staff will rattle off their policy and take no interest in guest well being. The grounds are huge and not child friendly. Rooms are standard. Food is over priced. Staff are polite if you do as they request and not the other way round. Every opportunity the hotel will charge you extra for something. The hotel may be big and may at full capacity host into the thousands of guests, But it's is not in the interest of anyone looking for a holiday to come here. Never in any other country in any other resort have I been so disappointed. This is not a relaxing holiday. Collapse

The Fontaineblue is a GORGEOUS hotel. All the staff was super friendly, most were helpful and it was a clean hotel considering the amount of people there. We were there for a friends 40th birthday weekend. 4 girls, we booked a “2 bed, Ocean Front Balcony” room through American Airlines Vacations. (Ages 25, 28, 40, 43) First, let me just reiterate that the hotel is GORGEOUS, the staff is amazing and we had a wonderful time. We were able to enjoy the pool. Yes, there’s loud music at the pool but it was good people watching and a good balance or Relaxing/fun. The food was expensive but you were served a good amount (we could share a wrap at the pool) and it was delicious and fresh. Drinks were definitely overpriced but it is Miami. It was $20 each way to get from hotel to South Beach each night for dinner and walking. So yes, it’s expensive but beautiful and such a good time. Now, here’s the issue..... as I said, we booked hotel and air through American Airlines Vacation. Not a “super discounted” site but still a 3rd Party site. When we arrived, the check in desk told us that we were in a Ocean front room but it only had ONE king size bed. Clearly that wasn’t what we booked or was going to work for 4 women. She told us first that they didn’t have a “2 bed, Ocean front balcony”room and we were mistaken. So we scrabbled to pull up conformation e mail. Then she said that it was wrong as “they don’t offer that”. When we tried to explain that YES, ITS ON YOUR WEBSITE, then she said that because we booked through a “3rd Party”, they couldn’t guarantee that was the room we would get. She tried to move us to a room on the back side of the hotel. We stood our ground and she “upgraded” us to a bigger suite, Ocean front, balcony with a king bed and pullout couch. GREAT!........ Nope. Room was set up for only 2 people. One robe, one extra pillow in closet, no blanket for pullout. (Had to call down for One at 11:30pm and took almost 30-40 min to come) Biggest issue, pullout couch was broke.....BAD! Metal coils broke, mattress was so thin and worn that you could feel the bars with your hand through it. One girl put the couch cushions over mattress to sleep. Other just didn’t sleep and woke up sore. Saturday, the birthday girl and another spent the day back and forth trying to get it fixed. Front desk staff was not overtly helpful and said they’d move us to another room. NOT ocean side and but didn’t offer any compensation as Ocean front balcony is WHAT WE PAID FOR. In the end, engineering came up and fixed the couch and put a new mattress on and problem was solved. Main complaint, it’s an expensive 5 star hotel and we would have expected little details like that to not happen. At $500+ a night, pullouts should also be “fairly comfortable” and the desk staff should know to have housekeeping send up supplies (towels, coffee cups, robes) for 4 if you’re putting more than 2 people in a room for 2. We tried to reach out to “Morris” like the in room book said, but that didn’t work either. All in all, it’s a great hotel, wonderful staff, tasty food, a lots to do. Just a little disappointed by the “room issue” NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: DON’T sell rooms through 3rd parties if you won’t honor that sale over booking them yourself. UP YOUR STAFFS SKILLS and train them to think ahead and call housekeeping for extra supplies when adding people to rooms “MORRIS” should actually be available and answer concerns if you have that in your books in the rooms. Just a thought........ Still worth the stay though. I’ll be back. (With a room booked through hotel) Collapse

My wife and I had an amazing experience at the Spa! The staff in particular made our experience great. They made us feel so special and it was so relaxing taking a day to just unwind. We both got massages by Kathy and Nelly which were wonderful and my wife even got her nails done by Magda who did a great job. Marvin was friendly and showed me around men’s locker room and Olga showed my wife around. We particularly remember the name of all the staff because of their warm and friendly service. The manager Silvia even told us some history about the hotel that made our experience even better. So over all we both would recommend this spa and plan to go there again:) Collapse

To say that I️ had an amazing time at the fountainebleau hotel would be an understatement! Associates Ilyssa and Dariel catered to my very needs and were extremely helpful in providing a comfortable stay for my fiancé and I️. The room we were given was incredible, not to mention the spectacular view of the ocean front and pool. I️ could not have chosen a better hotel with better staff and will certainly be staying here again for future trips to Miami. Fountainebleau did not disappoint and, as always, raised the bar.
