Got to say the reception staff were miserable, didn't crack a smile once. The restaurant staff were downright rude, but the girls waiting the bar were very pleasant and at least smiled at us. The hotel itself caters for groups of people which as we were on a hen party of 13 suited us perfectly. The nightlife was pretty good, although I didn't expect to be virtually dragged into the bars by the promotional staff. One even swiped one of our hats and ran inside the pub to get us in there. All in all great place for a few days and when in groups, but would never go under different circumstances Collapse

Was on the same holiday as Rachel below, upon our visit we were under no impression this was a party hotel. We booked 3 rooms and ended up being seperated with two on the eighth floor of the separate building and one on the 3rd. The rooms were average size as there was 3 to each room which we knew was more than usual, room was clean and the view from the sea-view room was amazing! However there was no air con only fans, slightly bareable but made it hard to sleep ocassionally especially if you'd came straight out of the hot sun for a siesta. We had problems from the get go with an over agreessive security guard who as my friend said most definately had a bullying behaviour, after the first warning we knew the limit and we never had music on after that just talking (nothing rowdy as we knew it wasn't a party hotel) and we were still getting visits even when we were sleeping and them 'assuming' noise was us. After night two this wasn't so much of a problem however we were annoyed ourselves as to the amount of rowdy Spanish young people who were 10x more loud than we ever were and didn't seem to be told off. After coming in at night, multiple times we were awoken from rowdy boys or girls quite literally screaming across balconies etc. While that wouldn't be acceptable from anyone we were frustrated they didn't seem to get the same treatment as we got the first night when they were repeatedly more loud than us. I Wouldn't bother purchasing wi-fi unless you only plan to use it at reception or the pool as we paid €15 euro for high speed for the week and it rarely worked in the room after day one and were told nothing could be done (no new code or refund) Although when it did work it worked well and was a good price. Food was always to a reasonable quality. There was a vast range of salads and cold meat, also various pork or fish dishes, sometimes chicken, some sides, pasta and tomato sauce and some vegetarian options, got a bit boring when it was always similar for lunch and tea but that just depends on your tastes. Staff were friendly and majority could speak English although knowing your Spanish would be very useful if you have any problems as the technician that tried to fix the wi-fi spoke no English. Me and some friends have studied Spanish so we were okay. Overall an resonably good stay but if it wasn't for a group of great friends the negatives would have brought me down a bit, as mentioned not a party hotel which we wanted but also not extremely quiet/relaxing for maybe older couples as by the end of our stay there was multiple stag do's and more Spanish students. Pool area and sun bed nooks are all nice and would recommend going down to the sea to jump off the small overhang. May consider returning but a lot of us were definitely put off at the start. As for going out mulligans at the bottom of the hill is a good start but definitely explore the strip further as there is so many lovely bars and clubs along the beach front and on the strip itself. Myself and 8 of my friends are in magaluf for a 6th year holiday. Our first night we were told we were being too loud and were threatened with getting arrested. We totally understood and since then we have not made a sound and been behaving because NO WAY will we get arrested for singing. However since then the guard has continually been coming to our door when we've been in bed, not making a noise telling us we are too loud and are going to be thrown out. I've spoken to the receptionist 4 times about him now and we are still being bullied by him. If you are a human with a voice box DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Collapse

The hotel itself is formed of 3 buildings, we were based in the one furthest away from reception & the balcony overlooked the cliffside which had astonishing views, the highlight of the hotel was most definitely the location, you could see Magaluf's beach as well as a little island opposite the hotel, which you could swim out to from the hotel as there was private access to the sea which is excellent. When we first arrived we checked in however we were unfamiliar with the hotel and we weren't shown to our room so we ended up on a wild goose chase around the hotel and ended back at reception, we informed them and still nobody showed us to our room, we eventually found it and once we did there were no other problems finding it. We were all inclusive yet had to pay for wifi, which is an outrage as this was advertised as part of the all inclusive service. The signal didn't even reach our room so we had paid for nothing. The room had all of the basics and a room fan, I've seen a few complaints about there being no air conditioning but we felt the fan did its job and kept the room a reasonable temperature. We had a problem with cockroaches in our room but reception informed us that this was normal due to the heat although I've never had this problem on my travels before. The housekeeper changed the towels and bed on a daily basis. The poolside was quite small and didn't have many sunbeds, mainly because people were 'reserving' beds which was against hotel rules. Because of this we were finding ourselves having to do the same before breakfast and then come back to our towels afterwards, perhaps a time limit could be introduced to make it fair for all guests to get a sunbed. As the hotel was at the top of Magaluf's strip there were many stag/ hen parties which could be very noisy at times, one night a stag party had the entertainer crying because of their complete disregard towards her as they were shouting at each other although at the same table and nobody could hear her, this upset many hotel guests who you could tell weren't happy. The entertainment wasn't great usually someone came to entertain every other night, except Saturday. A few nights I was woken up because of the noise but I informed reception who advised that security were going to keep a closer ear for noise. Over the last few days students were coming to the hotel, I'm not sure if they were hotel guests or not but the entire building, reception, pool, bar was full of them. They were wearing wristbands from other hotels and a strange Hotel Florida band I hadn't seen before they were too very noisy and they were very ignorant towards other guests jumping the queue at the bar, sometimes the bar staff noticed and told them to go to the back. One day I was in the pool and came back and one of them had removed my towel from a bed and stole it for themselves! The food was varied but at times was disappointing, I didn't like the breakfast as it was made up of small sausages with hard bits in them, the bacon was flavourless and hard to chew also. I felt like the food sat in my stomach, especially the BBQ burgers. The all inclusive drinks were good three free cocktails on offer. Every day the hotel manager greeted us for each meal and asked us how we were etc so he deserves praise for making us feel welcome, he was always smiling. I would also like to pay compliment to the bar man Jose Antonio, he was always talkative and said hello when he seen us we were going to tip him on our last night but sadly he had the night off. We had a good holiday in the hotel the views were beyond any hotel I've been to before, reception allowed us to get breakfast before 8am as we had an early transfer so thank you to them. The manager shook our hand goodbye and we were on our way. I would definitely come back to this hotel. Collapse

It is difficult for me to be critical of this hotel because the staff are lovely and try very hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. In fact the staff are the biggest redeeming feature as they are all dedicated in every department.I would particularly single out the manager who personally welcomed every guest at every mealtime and was such a gent.In fact on the day we were leaving he came outside whilst we were waiting for the bus to thank us for our stay and wished us well. The hotel itself is not ideal being on top of a hill and not suitable for elderly or less ambulant people internally but once here we enjoyed magnificent views from our sea view room which had a large balcony and personal sunbeds. The room was clean and serviced every day with clean linen and towels. The food was very good and a varied selection of salads, fruits, main courses and desserts was always on offer. Now to the hard part---I know that the hotel cannot vet its clientel in advance but during our two week stay a lot of short term guests mostly in the form of stag or hen parties came and were particularly obnoxious with little regard for their fellow guests. They seemed determined to take advantage of the all inclusive drink from morn till night and the day and night staff do well to contain their loud and moronic behaviour more so when they then went out on the town returning at all hours in an even worse state. It is a shame that the staff have to put up with such embarrassing behaviour but I understand that Universal Hotels set the types of stay available.Perhaps curtailing short stay or withdrawing the all inclusive menu might assist or alternatively market itself as an 18-30 hotel so guests then know what to expect in advance. Good luck to the hotel and thanks to the staff for looking after us so well. Collapse
