The Good: 1) Well, almost everything! I got a room here for 88 dollors with taxes a night for 2 guests in the first week of February, so that was a good price I believe 2) Metro station is very close! (The West exit) 3) A 24 HR SUPERMARKET at stones throw 4) Co operative Staff 5) Beautiful, spacious rooms with bathing tub even for entry level rooms! :) The Bad: 1) The staff lied! No designated Microwave for guest use at the deli! That's not my real problem, The staff at reception lied to my mom that it didn't work, so we couldn't use it! however, when I cross questioned at the coffee shop, it was fully functional.. if they don't offer a particular facility, they must simply tell off rather than lie to customers, isn't that more civilised? 2) The hot water had a slight yellow colour to it.. (only when put to complete hot mode) We called the staff almost every day for the first 3 Nights, they tried hard to fix but yellowish water wouldn't stop, mix hot and cold in the tap mixer and water would come clean! I was never much bothered as i usually used mixed water which by itself was comfortably hot 3) (This one is serious) AC was closed off without notice on the 6th day in my absence by the room cleaning staff n we walked in to a completely warm room! what's the use of giving 2 cards then?why even touch the AC settings in the guest's absence? Was the staff desperate to save 10 to 20 Dirhams for the Hotel at the cost of discomfort to the guest? :( Will I stay here again? Yes! These are minor mistakes which I do hope are rectified by the next time I come there again! Note: Don't forget to check out my other reviews on Dubai :) Collapse

We booked a two-night pre-cruise stay, beginning of February, and the only disappointment was the weather. Rain, dust storms and strong winds put a dampener on sightseeing Dubai. We did brave the weather during the day but our time in the hotel was enjoyable. Unfortunately we couldn't make use of the rooftop pool area. The breakfasts were much varied buffets and for our one evening meal in the hotel we chose a Chinese buffet which was equally very good and reasonably priced. As Flora Grand is a dry hotel we had a few drinks in a hotel bar nearby but, like most places in Dubai, at a very high cost. The location of the hotel is good for the airport and cruise port and close to a Metro station to get you to all the tourist sites. Luckily, for our cruise round the Arabian Gulf, improved enormously. Overall a very pleasant holiday. Collapse

Stayed at this hotel for our Dubai trip for 3 nights. The hotel was lovely nice rooms, breakfast was nice and the staff were amazing and could not do enough for you, also they were very helpful with taxis and directions etc. The downside was the location of which was not the the hotels fault, it was our travel agent who put us there. If you're looking to be close to the beach/tourist areas etc then this isn't an ideal hotel due to being in Al Rigga which caused a lot of traveling to and from the main Dubai area, it was an area for locals not tourists. There was the Metro, tram and monorail but very time consuming and not always reliable. So we spent more on travel than expected as we were also having to get taxis due to not staying in Dubai long and time was limited. Collapse
Great hotel for a good price

The hotel is very close to the Al-Rigga (red) metro station and close to the Dubai airport. The surrounding is full of hotels and restaurants. The hotel is clean and the staff is really nice and heplfull.

Stayed here with my partner for a week in September 2016 to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. The hotel check in and check out went really smooth we were handed a glass of juice upon arrival - much appreciated as it was really hot and also after a 8 hr flight from U.K, it definitely quenched our thirsts. Staff were very nice and helpful despite some couldn't speak/understand much English but our problems were resolved after a English-speaking staff was called. We had problems with the telephone in our room so it was an issue as we had a lot of excursions booked. The swimming pool was nice but small. The spa was brilliant and again the staff couldn't speak much English so it was hard to communicate when asking details about specific beauty treatments. They also messed up our spa treatment times and had to keep changing it which was frustrating as the woman at spa reception couldn't understand us as well. The spa therapist was excellent, me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our treatments and would definitely recommend - they also had a 50% off treatments during our stay which was well worth it. Ok now onto the food, we stayed half board and we are disappointed with the breakfast as it wasn't very nice - Not much selection. Lunch time was the same and we had to pay for drinks - 1 orange juice was 18AED which is expensive. So we didn't bother buying drinks, we went to the shop down the road which is easily reachable within 3 mins walk. The metro station was really close 3 mins walk to al rigga station. Room was spacious and clean, housekeeping was really good cleaned our rooms everyday. Very modern hotel, would recommend but don't stay half board. Food elsewhere is much nicer and cheaper as well. We would come back again Collapse
