The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to most attractions. We took the train from SEA-TAC and then walked to the hotel which was easy enough. The surrounding neighborhood is nice and has fun restaurants plus local favorite Top Pot Dougnnuts. The room was as promised, beds are extremely comfortable and we liked the individual duvets provided. Room was a bit tight for 4 people with full luggage for a 1 week stay but we managed ok. Only concern was a lack of easy access plugs in the room for all our electronics needing an overnight charge. With a family of 4 with teenagers we all have smartphones plus various tablets and laptops. We eventually found 4 plugs hiding behind the bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again. Collapse
Fantastic hotel! Recommend by a friend. Was everything he said and more. Very accommodating for early arrival.

The hotel market in Seattle is THE most expensive I have ever seen (this includes London, Tokyo, etc.). I started looking for accommodations 7 months in advance and am glad I booked when I did, because prices only got worse and worse. Given its combination of price, location, and quality, Hotel Five is a decent choice for a visit to this city. There's not much that is interesting "right outside your door," but just a block or two away is a street with a bunch of bars and restaurants. If you walk just a few blocks more you will arrive at Pike Place Market. Go the other direction, and you are not far from Seattle Center and all the nearby museums. For more distant attractions, such as Woodland Park Zoo, we appreciated the shuttle service that Hotel Five provided. Aside from the decent location, the customer service here was excellent. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful, as were those who worked at the restaurant. I would especially like to acknowledge our shuttle driver, Gary, who took us to and from the zoo one day. The problem with "boutique" hotels is that the veneer of funky decor often serves to distract from some inconveniences. That is the case here at Hotel Five as well. The rooms are very small, and my husband thinks the bed was only full size instead of a queen. That's fine, I don't care about that, we have stayed in plenty of small hotel rooms in small (even twin) beds. There was a cobweb in the corner of the room, but otherwise it seemed reasonably clean. I did not like the bathroom door, which was a sliding door that sat an inch away from the wall once "closed." It was also frosted glass within a wood frame, so not much privacy (sound or visual). The walls seemed very thin and we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and even noises outside. I am not that sensitive to this stuff, but it does grate on you when you consider the price of your stay. If this hotel were in a different city I would probably give it a lower score, but considering Seattle's hotel market I have to grade it on a curve. The location was pretty convenient, the shuttle service was helpful, and the staff was very courteous. The price was stupid for what you get, except it is considered a "value" in Seattle. The room was mostly clean, the bathroom door was inadequate, and the soundproofing might be a problem if you are sensitive to noise. If we visited Seattle again we might stay here, or otherwise find some kind of rental instead of a traditional hotel. Collapse
Loved our stay at HotelFive.

Walk to Safeco was a bit further and we took the light rail part of the way back to avoid any sketchy parts of town. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Collapse

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel earlier this month and we both absolutely loved it! The décor was fun, playful and colorful, the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful and the hotel was very clean. We really appreciated all the fun touches this hotel had to offer: the pineapple room key cards, cupcakes in the lobby, the artwork, Dash, colorful doors, fluffy towels etc. This hotel will probably go down as the best/most fun hotel I've ever stayed at! I'm so happy we chose Hotel 5!! This hotel is located perfectly between the Seattle Center (Space Needle and several museums) and Pike Place Market. There is also a Whole Foods 3 blocks away and several restaurants nearby, including a great doughnut shop, Top Pot, located right next door. We walked everywhere, as far away as Safeco Field but there is a shuttle you can reserve in advance to specific locations in the city. This hotel seems to be in a good neighborhood and we always felt safe. The only thing I did not like about this hotel was that our room did not have a mini fridge. Some rooms do have them I believe but ours did not. It wasn't that big of a deal as there was ice right down the hall. The ice is already separated into bags so you just open the cooler and take a bag. Very convenient! The beds were comfortable and the duvet cover was luxurious!! I recommend wearing as little to bed as you are comfortable with! The duvet was amazing but got hot during the night! Hotel 5 isn't kidding when they mention the "naked experience." It's in your best interest! :-) Overall, we couldn't have been happier with this hotel. Our trip was fantastic, we loved Seattle and had a great time. Choosing the right hotel played a big part in our overall experience of the city and our vacation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and if we ever return to Seattle this is the only place I would stay! We also look forward to staying with the Staypineapple brand in other cities in the future! Collapse
