The Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel was well worth the cost. Great ambiance, and with so many Irish and British staff and customers, it felt like we were in Ireland. Then we'd head out the front door to NYC. It isn't in the center of the hubbub, so you can walk about some without all of the crowds and there are subway stops within a couple of blocks. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate only one meal there and it was good -- be sure to try the mashed peas! Also, if you're looking for a good Irish Pub, look no further than The Fitzpatrick bar. Customers in the bar are mostly Irish & British giving it an authentic feel (unlike city bars with mostly Americans.) The bartender was Irish (Aaron); he was friendly and fun to watch. The rooms were big enough to house 2 ladies with all of their luggage and the beds were very comfortable. The only problem we had was the toilet in the room. It had recently been replaced but the installer put the flush handle where you couldn't reach it. LOL. Being a DIY lady, I took off the lid. We informed management and were assured the toilet was going to be replaced. I HIGHLY recommend The Fitzpatrick Manhattan if you want to have an friendly Irish experience in NYC. Collapse

We were 3 friends so we reserved a double suite. Worked out well with 2 beds in bedroom and a fold out sofa in the living room. Bathroom was a little small, but hey, this is NY! Had plenty of room for clothes with 2 closets as well as enough hangers. Staff was friendly---restaurant and bar suggestions from reception (especially Chris) ,Aaron was our nice bartender and the best housekeeping I've seen in a while. Turndown service, too. Two block easy walk to subway station, hotel right on 57th with outstanding stores, Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue a hop, skip away! Never heard guests from next door or in the hallway (there are only 5 or 6 rooms per floor). Room service was very prompt...Ii would call for a pot of coffee and it was there in 5 minutes. Temperature was pleasant in room. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. Collapse

If you want a hotel stay in New York City that gets beyond the boring monotony of a "chain" hotel, look no further. My wife and I loved this place. I came to NYC on business, but also brought my wife- so the trip was a combination of work and pleasure. The Fitzpatrick Manhattan is a great choice for business or personal travel. This hotel is quaint, elegant (without being stuffy) and the service was fantastic. Shane Cookman and staff did a wonderful job of making us feel at home. The bar and restaurant were also a very pleasant surprise. Cozy, warm, with great food, drinks and service... at a great price for NYC. We will definitely be back. Collapse

What a wonderful find this hotel is , it's on Lexington avenue and 57th , upon arrival the reception staff greet you with a smile , encourage you to sit with them while they check you in and offer whatever assistance or enquiry you may have , she could not have been more helpful and generous with her time and advice , bags delivered to room while we chatted in a very relaxed atmosphere, nice touch from the usual type of check in, our room was on the fifteenth floor and was a two room suite , these rooms are huge , more than enough room for shopping bags !! The bed was huge and I'm not sure how to describe the comfort of the bed, it has to be tried to understand,it's just one of those things they are super , as is the shower, and I loved the toiletries at this hotel I must try and get hold of them if they can be purchased at a retailers , the bar is what I figure has a real New York feel to it , really vibrant but comfortable and the dining area is the same , we stayed four nights and the staff get used to your face and preferences very quick , the barman knew the round and was a really nice guy , good craic and gave us good advice on bars and Resteraunt s to try etc, we had breakfast every morning here , it was faultless from oatmeal to a full Irish and reasonably priced with it, if you like a Guinness I would say it's better here than at home give it a go, on check out our bags were looked after while we did last few bits and cab arranged for transfer to airport , overall we can't wait to return , the location is really good to see New York as it should be seen , on foot , ten minutes to time square and ten minutes to Central Park , I'll be back ! Thanks to Shane and all at Fitzpatrick Manhattan. Collapse

This was my second stay at the hotel, I stayed here in August 2014 and promised I myself a return visit. I was a little worried that my return stay would not be as good as the first time, I need not of worried this hotel is fantastic and lived up to my expectations. From the minute you walk into the lobby you are given a friendly warm welcome, any requests you have are met with a 'can do' attitude from the staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable yes they are a little dated but this adds to the charm of the hotel. I do agree that the bathrooms need an update but they are functional, how much time do you spend in the bathroom. The beds are super comfortable. The only negative was out of the control of the hotel and that was the noise of traffic due to the streets being closed because of the demonstrations on 5th Avenue in front of Trump Tower and all traffic being diverted past the hotel. We were on the 12th floor. I do not have any hesitation in recommending a stay at the Fitz, you will not be disappointed Collapse
